** Abby constantly keeps telling Chicken Little to "Stop messing around and deal with the problem" about his father. Although in the third time, she meant the Alien Invasion.
** There's also "Today is a new day", Chicken Little's motivational motto.
** Chicken Little begs his father to believe him with "You've gotta believe me this time". It takes [[RuleOfThree three times for Buck to support his son]].

* TheCameo: A three-eyed WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse appears at the end on the alien[[spoiler: dad]]'s watch.

This is the second single-story Disney Animated Feature after ''WesternAnimation/RobinHood1973'' to use anthropomorphic characters with no humans. A third film with this concept, ''WesternAnimation/{{Zootopia}}'', was released in 2016.

* AdultsAreUseless: Other than Kirby's parents, who are just looking for their missing child, not a single adult bothers to be helpful towards our main characters. Sure, Buck helps his son to return Kirby to his parents in the climax, but he falls in the same category through the story for being irresponsible and just caring for his town reputation.

* HandOrObjectUnderwear: Little loses his pants in one scene and covers himself with his schoolwork.

* AnAesop:
** No matter how hard things are, don't give up. For every bad day, there's always a new day.
** Don't neglect your own kids and leave them to solve their own problems. Talk to them, deal with the problem and help them with moving on.

** "His name is Kirby?" "They left him behind?" [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers "Darth Vader is]] [[Film/TheEmpireStrikesBack Luke's father?"]]

In the movie, Chicken Little is a nerdy boy who gets bullied in school despite his cleverness because of [[OnceDoneNeverForgotten that ONE false alarm]] he created that caused waves of panic throughout the town a year earlier. He also has a troubled relationship with his widowed father, Buck Cluck, who cares more about the approval of his peers than caring for his son. He tends to hang out with other [[RagtagBunchOfMisfits unpopular kids]] -- such as Abby Mallard (a homely duck girl who has a crush on Little, [[ObliviousToLove but he doesn't seem to realize it]]); Runt of the Litter, a cowardly, morbidly obese pig who can't stop eating; and Fish out of Water, who is an actual fish out of water who wears a diving helmet (filled with water) to be able to breathe. They often get teased by Foxy Loxy, a female bully. But as the film progresses, Chicken Little and his friends uncover the presence of extraterrestrials in their town and attempt to warn the now-extremely skeptical townsfolk before all havoc breaks loose.

* WorldOfJerkass: Almost every character, aside from Chicken Little himself and his friends, is a self-serving jerk.

** Don't give up. For every bad day, there's always a new day.

* WorldOfFunnyAnimals: All the characters in the film (except the aliens) are bipedal talking animals who wear clothing and generally behave like humans. Unusually, the concept of having NoCartoonFish is [[AvertedTrope averted]] in the film.
