* SourSupporter: Grumpy Bear is a jerkass who doesn't put up with the other bears' antics but often comes up with clever solutions.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: In the original series, the Care Bears are aware of No Heart and Beastly as thy had antagonized them for years. However in the show, they aren't aware of the two until much later.

* NowWhichOneWasThatVoice: The end credits sequence lists the voice actors for the main cast, as well as recurring characters Gus and Gareth, and minor character Love-a-Lot Bear. None of the other characters featured, like Mossy, Harmony Bear, Watchful Bear, E.B. Bunny, etc. have credited voice actors. Only Jason [=LaShea=], who performs Bluster, has confirmed on Twitter that he voices Watchful.

** TheLeader: Cheer Bear, as stated in the theme song. She comes up with the plans.
** TheLancer: Grumpy Bear, though he also doubles as TheSmartGuy. He builds helpful machines and is usually the one to lead the bears if Cheer isn't there.
** TheSmartGuy: Good Luck Bear, but a bit of a stretch. He's not as smart as [[GadgeteerGenius Grumpy]], but he is clever, wise-cracking, and has great navigational skills.
** TheBigGuy: Funshine Bear, though once again, a stretch. He has the same build as the other bears, but while he has a soft side, he can be the closest the bears have to a "bully", as sometimes his antics and [[ThePrankster pranks]] can go too far.
** TheChick: Share Bear. She is the nicest of the group, and is usually the one to break up any tension.
** TeamPet: Dibble, as she was adopted by the bears and accompanies them on their adventures.

Every story needs its BigBad though, and this time it's Bluster; the annoying and egocentric leader of the Bad Crowd (along with [[BeleagueredAssistant Robbie]] and [[TheLancer Malcom]]) who once made a deal with the elder Care Bears to stay out of the Silver Lining in exchange for the Bears leaving him alone. He has since broken the agreement, and his goal is to turn the Silver Lining into Blusterland.

Starting off a new generation of the ''Franchise/CareBears'' franchise, and following the cancellation of ''WesternAnimation/CareBearsAndCousins'', ''Care Bears: Unlock the Magic'' is a 2019 TV series produced by the Cloudco Entertainment division of American Greetings. The first season consists of 52 episodes (though with how Boomerang has released them, [[OutOfOrder it's 49]]). 10 episodes of the show were released on the Creator/{{Boomerang}} SVOD streaming service on February 1, 2019, including the ValentinesDayEpisode, however the first episode was released on the app as a "sneak peek" on January 28. The series premiered on the main network in March, and premiered on Creator/CartoonNetwork in April.
