A little bunny rabbit is digging her burrow in the ground. The bunny has an extremely simple, childlike drawing of a burrow that is basically a circle on a piece of paper that includes the necessities of life: a hot tub and a disco ball. The bunny is met underground by a mole and a field mouse, both of whom have sophisticated plans for much more lavish burrows.
The bunny's new friends mean well but the bunny is embarrassed so she starts digging further down, in a panic. She barrels through all sorts of other subterranean creatures' dwellings--frogs, newts, hedgehogs, and more. Overwhelmed by what is basically a complex underground city, the bunny digs down even further. To the water table, where disaster looms.
