There's no drug to make you lose all your senses as described (and even if there was, it wouldn't make the animal safe to approach, as even a blinded animal is still dangerous). The original author might have been thinking of paralytics, which are sometimes used, but by far the most common "tranquilizer" is an actual sedative.

* BadParents: While characters such as Tony and King qualify, Kate And Humphrey can be terrinle parents as well. Most of the time they often leaves their pups alone without supervisor (which helps kictstart the conflict in Howliday Adventures) and they don't discipline their pups. What makes this more jarring is how this is never acknowledged and how the one time they tried to be attentive parents in Legend of Sawtooth Cave, they were portrayed as being oberly protective parents.

A computer-animated movie film released by Creator/LionsGate and produced by Creator/RichardRich and Crest Animation, in Fall 2010.

A direct-to-video sequel (the first of four planned), ''Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure'', was released Oct 8, 2013, and introduces Humphrey and Kate's pups: Stinky and Claudette, the alphas, and Runt, an omega. Despite the subtitle, the film barely involves holiday overtones and focuses more on everyone's attempts at rescuing Runt from King, a SocialDarwinist wolf determined to take the territories for himself. The next, ''The Great Wolf Games'', released March 25, 2014, concerned the cubs' participation in the eponymous sporting event in a RagtagBunchOfMisfits (particularly Claudette who connects with a rival team's leading cub Fleet). On October 7, 2014, ''Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave'' released on DVD. This time Runt decides to help a she-wolf named Daria who was chased out of her pack when she was young.
