His infiltrates the high-security construction underneath the royal palace for a second attempt,managing to cut Lloyd despite Javier's presence and all the guards in order to [[TheCorruption use the dagger to bring out his innate darkness]]. Whilst that [[NoSell fails]], he nonetheless survives the ensuring chaos turning him into a HumanPopsicle, only for Alica to step in in the aftermath and make damn sure he's dead -- personally burning him at the stake whilst chaining him down, and even then she comments that he resisted for a ''very'' long time before eventually turning to ashes.

** Sir Neumann's HumiliationConga at Lloyd's hands is topped off when he tricks him into agreeing to having "[[ExactWords a vicious rodent]] dropped on his head" and getting exiled from the Frontera lands [[PokeThePoodle if he gets hurt by it]]. Lloyd then proceed to chuck [[Sizeshifter Ppodong]] high into the air over him and grow to his thirty-foot tall size, leading to [[BellyFlopCrushing Neumann getting smooshed underneath]]. Whilst the webcomic treats this under AmusingInjuries, the novel reminds us that despite his cute and squishy appearance, Ppodong's 2 tons of weight at giant size is a serious weapon. Neumann in the immediate aftermath is described as [[SquashedFlat a gory mess]], "looking much like a squid that had been sitting in a seafood market for a week" . Even with the most advanced medical care available under the Baron's direction, Neumann barely survives his state and is estimated to remain paralysed and bedridden for life.

* VitriolicBestBuds: Lloyd and Javier once Javier lets go of his resentment and starts getting closer to Lloyd. They clearly care deeply for each other but that doesn't stop them from constantly annoying each other at any chance they get.

* NecroNonSequitur: Lloyd's alterations to the story saves numerous lives. Then one day, the System's counter showing how many lives he has saved suddenly drops to zero. [[spoiler:Since Lloyd's interference was contrary to fate's original plan, it threatens to reassert itself. Lloyd soon witnesses a new prophecy showing every single person he saved succumb to freak and contrived accidents, one after another, when possible doing so in a way resembling how they were originally supposed to die.]]

* PsychoticSmirk: Lloyd again. It is present in the novel but definitely played up to eleven in the webcomic where there is hardly a chapter Lloyd doesn't scare someone with his expressions. Javier oftentimes calls him out on it himself.
** Interestingly, the Baron pulls it at least once himself in the webcomic. It's genetic. It's just Llyod is more prone to using it.

* ParentsAsPeople: In the webcomic, Samarkhan is well aware of his flaws as a parent and sheds a tear of genuine happiness while witnessing Silurian's marriage to Jullian, relieved that she no longer has to be involved with their country's political infighting.

** Lloyd also embodies this trope to a T. Although he leaves the fighting to Javier, he won't hesitate to get physical himself. He genuinely as a few moral scruples but he clearly revels in taking advantage of any situation or person within his control. Just ask [[AssholeVictim Viscount Lacona]].

* OurGhostsAreDifferent: [[spoiler: OG!Lloyd gets stuck as a ghost after Suho takes over his body and ends up following him for a little while, unable to be seen or to communicate in any way, before eventually giving up and going to hell, where he finds he can't reincarnate because technically he is still alive as his body hasn't died. Lloyd then uses part of his payment from the King of Hell to give him the opportunity to reincarnate]]

* TwistEnding: [[spoiler: Suho Kim spends the entire story believing he's an imposter who's only pretending to be Lloyd. But in the epilogue we the audience find out that in actuality when OG!Lloyd got reincarnated he was sent to the past and was reborn as a baby in Korea...as Suho Kim. Suho Kim was actually the real Lloyd all along, just from a different lifetime.]]

* BigBrotherBully: OG!Lloyd, to the point where even the most basic human decency Lloyd showed to Julien was met with suspicion.
* BigBrotherInstinct: At first Lloyd believes it'd be better if he doesn't intervene in Julien's situation at the Academy as he thinks that would just make it worse for him in the long run. That goes immediately out of the window when he notices the bruises on Julien's arm. He delivers a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown to Julien's bully to the point even Julien is worried he'll end up killing him.

* DisappointingOlderSibling: OG!Lloyd to Julien, he was physically, verbally and emotionally abusive making it so Julien absolutely despised his older brother. It gets better.
