* ImmortalitySeeker: The main objective of the real BigBad, [[spoiler:known as the Dreamer and the first king. He was the first human to cross over into Dreamland and asked Abbadon for immortality. Abbadon was able to give it to him, but not the kind he hoped for since it left him locked in a HealingVat.]]

* AlwaysSaveTheGirl: When Nicodemus asks [[spoiler:Alex to fend off the half of Abaddon's army invading Dreamland, he would rather save Nastajia so that she could reunite with her parents alive and well, much to Nicodemus' grave dismay after all his troubles to side with Alex.]] [[DefiedTrope Defied]] when [[spoiler:Alex prompts the dragon to fix it instead and he does—by undoing the very spell he put to ensure Arthur's descendants never get into Dreamland and restoring Daniel's ability to both dream and enter Dreamland at the expense of Alex's.
