* DyeHard: InUniverse, Adrien temporarily dyes his hair lime green in "The Bubbler" as a form of rebellion against his dad. He considers doing pink or blue in "Captain Hardrock" after Gabriel forbids him from going to Kitty Section's concert, and threatens to dye his hair pink if he isn't allowed to join his friends in "Anansi".

* EmergingFromTheShadows: In "Vanisher" a shadowy intruder enters Chloé's room and says, "You won't see '''this''' one coming, Chloé," followed by a evil laugh. It must be Vanisher, even with the hexagonal-shaped head outline, because the author has redesigned the akuma. The author says, "there's a short mystery so I hope you'll look at the clues!"

** In "The Gamer", Nino's score is so low Max wonders if it's the former's first time playing. Nino says he's just boosting numbers.

** In "La Befana", Chloé tries to ruin Marinette's birthday party by hiding the gifts in a bush and unplugging the electronics needed for the music. The gifts are so poorly hidden that Sabrina easily recovers them, and she later just replugs everything back.

* EurekaMoment: Scarlet Lady never figures out how to use her Lucky Charm object against the villain on her own. It's up to Marinette (if she's there) or Chat Noir to come up with a plan. There were exceptions in the Rogercop and Darkblade stories, but the author says "Don't get used to it."

** Chloé's attempt to steal Marinette's design, once exposed, earns her stony rebukes from Gabriel, Damocles and Nathalie and gets her instantly disqualified and banned from all future competitions.
** Chloé gets this again in "Rogercop". After all the grief she caused Marinette, she is forced by her father to apologize, while Marinette and Chat Noir enjoy it.
** Max losing his place at the [=UMS3=] tournament is presented as this, as it's made clear that he expected to easily trounce his classmates and show off. He scoffs at both Adrien and Marinette, assuming that neither poses any threat, only to be beaten by them both, fair and square.
** After locking Juleka in the bathroom to take her place next to Adrien, Adrien repays this by ''shoving'' Chloé off him.
** In "Timebreaker", Scarlet Lady decides to [[spoiler:not even bother fighting the villain and stay out of reach until she's defeated. When Marinette calls her out on this and threatens to expose her laziness, Scarlet confronts her, which allows Timebreaker to touch her]]. This also doubles as a bit of karmic backlash for her actions in "Gamer": [[spoiler:after all of her efforts to get Marinette temporarily killed, ''she'' gets wiped out by an akuma]].
** At the beginning of "Simon Says", Alec screws over Simon by kicking him out of the contest for something he had absolutely no control over (Gabriel refusing to participate in the game). At the end, Nino is challenged to pick two celebrities and get them to dance with his music, and he picks his own friends Alya and Adrien, removing any sense of challenge. He even brings up the Simon screwjob when Alec dares to complain.
** Scarlet Lady's assholish personality bites her in the rear at the end of "Anansi" when she antagonizes Koki Marina for no reason beyond her own amusement, unaware she's burning bridges with a major media figure who ''was'' responsible for her good PR and ''was'' one of her staunchest remaining supporters. The episode's ending shows Alya compiling a dossier about how much of a failure she is as a heroine.
** In "Desperada", Adrien takes advantage of the Snake Miraculous' Second Chance to get some retribution for everything Scarlet Lady's put him through, getting her hit by Desperada multitple times. He even tells her that he's Chat Noir just to see her horrified face.
** Bob Roth in "Crocoduel". After Jagged and Anarka realize that Bob had forged letters to split them up when Anarka told him she was pregnant. This realization prompts Jagged to deliver a notice of termination to the sleazy record dealer, who is about to spend his (presumably) last paycheck at a fancy restaurant.
** Scarlet Lady's SkewedPriorities bite her hard during "Zombizou" as, when it's down to her and Marinette, she attempts to ensure Marinette gets kissed instead of focusing on defeating the zombies. This leads to ''her'' getting kissed instead, allowing Marinette to get away.

* DyeHard: InUniverse, Adrien temporarily dyes his hair lime green as a form of rebellion against his dad.

** Chat Noir would just like some ''simple acknowledgement'' for his help in stopping the akumas, thank you very much. Unfortunately, Scarlet Lady tends to push all the work on him, then take advantage of his subsequent exhaustion to claim all the credit. Ironically, when Scarlet Lady describes her beloved Adrien to Théo as someone "beloved by all of Paris", he naturally assumes that she's talking about Chat Noir, and that he naturally gets that kind of acceptance because of his heroism. Fortunately, this begins to change for the better for Chat, with it being revealed at the end of "Troublemaker" that he's neck and neck with Scarlet Lady in the popularity polls.

* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: Sabrina sports these in "Darkblade", a sign that she she hasn't forgiven or forgotten Chloé's actions in the previous episode.

** [[spoiler:Ella and Etta Césaire]] appear at the end of "Lady [=WiFi=]", wearing the masks that Marinette made for them.
** Pun not intended, but at the end of "Mr. Pigeon", [[spoiler:Marianne Lenoir makes an appearance, showing Xavier Ramier to a pigeon sanctuary and secretly scouting him out as a potential Miraculous holder]].
** [[spoiler:Luka Couffaine]] makes a brief [[TheFaceless faceless]] cameo at the end of "Reflekta".

* EnemyMine: Defied. When Marinette reveals she hates Scarlet Lady's guts, Volpina is visibly excited, but Marinette makes it abundantly clear that she hates Hawk Moth more before she can even ask.

* OnlySaneMan: Between Alya's fangirling, Jalil's conspiracy theories, Marinette and Adrien's failure at being one, and Scarlet Lady being... [[AttentionWhore well, Scarlet Lady]], Alix serves as this in "The Pharaoh".

* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: Cornered in "Zombizou", Marigold [[spoiler:unlocks a new power: "Bee Balm", that releases a bee swarm]].

** Like in canon "Rogercop," Mayor Bourgeois fires Roger for refusing to break the law to satisfy Chloé's latest whim. However, because it's later confirmed that the mayor doesn't actually have the jurisdiction to do this, André comes off as a bigger SleazyPolitician than in the show, as not only is he abusing his mayoral position, he's abusing power he doesn't even have. Additionally, while canon apparently had André try to make amends with Roger by giving him his job back and promoting him, he almost certainly lacks the authority to do this as well in the comic, meaning what was originally a heartwarming moment is now just the mayor distracting Roger with a MotivationalLie and an EmptyPromise.
** D'Argencourt's MoralMyopia is highlighted regarding his ancestor, the Black Knight. As mentioned in HistoricalHeroUpgrade, D'Argencourt considers his ancestor a noble, heroic figure even while describing him as a man who "ruled Paris with an iron fist" and laments that he was toppled by a commoner whom D'Argencourt accuses of buying the loyalty of Paris's lower classes. Adrien mentally lampshades that D'Argencourt's account just makes it sound like the Black Knight was a tyrant who was deservingly overthrown by someone who gave money to the poor. In addition, D'Argencourt comes off as more of a KnowNothingKnowItAll, as despite priding himself as a fencing master, he failed to recognize an illegal "corps-a-corps" Kagami commits (among other violations) against Adrien that even Marinette (who was new to the sport) noticed, instead praising the bout as "real fencing" and ignoring Marinette both times she tries to bring the rule breakages to his attention.
** Max's nasty and entitled behavior is emphasized more in "The Gamer," highlighting his condescending attitude towards his classmates and the [[IWasBeatenByAGirl sexist nature]] of his anger towards Marinette. As Gamer, he is shown taking [[EvilGloating a disturbing amount of glee]] in annihilating helpless civilians. Ultimately subverted when he later has a HeelRealization about his poor sportsmanship and apologizes to Marinette, which he didn't do in canon.

** Though Nadja also showed up early to the bakery without notice and demanded she be given her cake twenty minutes before the scheduled time in canon "Timebreaker," here, her entitled behavior is emphasized. When Tom points out how early she is, she simply replies "Yeah, and?", and Sabine later reveals Nadja knew that the bakery was closed for a personal day, implying Tom and Sabine were already doing Nadja a favor by having a cake ready for her that day, making her come off as an UngratefulBitch.

** Downplayed with Adrien. He's among the few in the class who ''don't'' [[EasilyForgiven quickly forgive]] Lila after she's outed as a liar despite also seeing her get thrown into a fountain by Scarlet Lady, whereas in canon, he felt Ladybug just calling Lila out was too harsh. To be fair, though, here, he knows that she stole his father's book from him and then learns soon afterwards that she also threw it away rather than try to return.
** Roger gets hit by this in "Captain Hardrock." Thanks to Chloé, he arrives at the houseboat before the concert starts, gets upset by Anarka calling him a "bootlicker," and hits her with a list of {{Felony Misdemeanor}}s and tickets.

** Penny physically kicks Vincent out of the hotel instead of just dragging him out. Later, when passing out concert tickets to the class, she also emphasizes how Chloé won't be getting one, rather than just silently skipping over her.

** In canon, Anarka was rather justified in her resentment of Jagged Stone for walking out on her and their children because he was afraid of fatherhood. Here, the reveal that [[spoiler:she purposely kept her pregnancy secret from Jagged and then prevented him from seeing Luka and Juleka]] makes her much less sympathetic. This ends up getting subverted in what turns out to be an example for a ''different'' character: [[spoiler:Bob Roth. In canon, he had no involvement in Jagged and Anarka's breakup; here, he deliberately forged notes to the duo claiming that Anarka wanted nothing to do with Jagged (without mentioning her pregnancy) and that Jagged wanted nothing to do with Anarka (meaning she didn't deliberately hide her pregnancy and only prevented him from seeing the kids because she thought Jagged wanted nothing to do with them).]]

*** In "Rogercop," Mayor Bourgeois forces Chloé to apologize to Marinette for accusing her, and although Chloé isn't aware of it yet, she has done lasting damage to her friendship with Sabrina, who unlike canon is visibly still upset at the end about her supposed best friend getting her father fired. Lastly, though it won't get brought up again for some time, Chloé has set herself up for further humiliation once Sabrina and Roger find out the mayor never even had the power to fire him to begin with.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: The class doesn't come off as being sellouts in "Darkblade." In canon, they attended Chloé's campaign launch and seemed to genuinely consider voting for Chloé, the class bully, over their friend Marinette. Here, it's made clear that they were always going to vote for Marinette and only attended Chloé's campaign launch for the free giveaways.

* FixFic: The writer has set out to fix as many inconsistencies in canon as she can, despite the AU setting. She's also decided on an actual order and timeline, which can be found [[https://zoe-oneesama.tumblr.com/post/185088503999/hi-there-just-curious-what-order-of-the-episodes here]]. Said order itself fixes a few things that didn't make sense in canon; for example, [[AdaptationalLateAppearance "Pixelator," "Guitar Villain," and "Princess Fragrance" not taking place until long]] ''[[AdaptationalLateAppearance after]]'' [[AdaptationalLateAppearance "Volpina"]] makes Lila's lies about knowing Jagged Stone and Prince Ali more believable to the class.

** Instead of Jalil's inaccurate statements about Egyptology being brushed aside as ArtisticLicenseHistory and SadlyMythcharacterized in "The Pharaoh," Alix lampshades and calls her brother out on his multiple [[InUniverseFactoidFailure In-Universe Factoid Failures]].

*** Nathaniel is cleared as a suspect immediately after his sketch of the bracelet is noticed, with him pointing out that he never left his seat.
*** Sabrina is actually shown going into HeroicBSOD over her "best friend" Chloé getting Roger fired on a petty whim, whereas she wasn't nearly as bothered by this in canon. Later, StatusQuoIsGod is averted, as Sabrina visibly has difficulty getting over what Chloé did, marking the beginning of her HeelFaceTurn and her gradually ending her [[ToxicFriendInfluence toxic friendship]] with Chloé.

*** Though it doesn't get brought up until several episodes later in the comic, it's revealed that Roger and Sabrina looked into things and learned that the mayor never had the authority to fire him in the first place, something that Roger later rather gleefully informs Chloé of.
** The class explicitly state in "Darkblade" that they only attended Chloé's campaign launch for the free stuff that was being given away and never had any intention of voting for her, the class bully, over Marinette, their friend. Additionally, Chloé is left at a loss for words when Ms. Bustier asks her if she had tried to bribe her classmates for their votes.
*** Adrien privately notes that D'Argencourt's description of the Black Knight ruling Paris "with an iron fist" and being overthrown by someone who apparently gave money to the poor implies that D'Argencourt's ancestor wasn't really as heroic as D'Argentcourt paints him.
** In "The Gamer," instead of Marinette being portrayed as being in the wrong for selfishly competing for a spot in the tournament when Max wanted it more, she explicitly points out to Alya that she would only get to compete in the tournament by being the best and earning a spot fairly.
*** Related to the above, Max is the one who has a HeelRealization about his poor sportsmanship and apologizes to Marinette in the end. Moreover, Hawkmoth and Scarlet Lady respectively point out to him that he lost to ''two'' people and that he exclusively took his anger out on Marinette.
*** Marinette rushes to meet Alya at school to work on a report in canon, only to find Alya recording a video game tournament. So why didn't Alya reschedule? In this version, both find out about the tournament at the same time.

** Unlike the canonical "Simon Says," Nathalie and Nino [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse don't just disappear in mid-episode]]. [[spoiler:They (and Marinette) are captured by the army of minions and taken the TV studio, where Nathalie uses her martial arts skills (as seen in "Felix") to take part in the fight and save Gabriel from trying to fly off the building]].

** "Kung Food" lets Marinette actually know Chinese, and her struggles with the language barrier stem more from nervousness than inexperience.
** "Evillustrator" has Marinette and Sabrina getting some of their schoolwork done together, partly due to the former not having to run off to transform when the akuma shows up at the library. Sabrina also witnesses his visit to Marinette's bedroom and her agreement to go out with him, unlike her canon counterpart who thought that Marinette just left her to do all the work without a good reason.
*** The comic also fixes the sad situation of nobody apparently knowing or caring about Nathaniel going missing on his birthday. In this version, he had birthday plans with Alix, which he blew off in favor of romancing Marinette once he was akumatized, which causes her to be annoyed. He also tells Marinette that he doesn't tell many people about his birthday anyway.

*** Sabrina might have gone back to being Chloé's friend at the end of the episode like in canon, but here, she firmly tells Chloé that this is her last chance.
** "Vanisher" gives the titular character [[spoiler:a different appearance rather than just Sabrina but invisible, as well as a few other powers]]. More importantly, StatusQuoIsGod is soundly averted, with Sabrina ending her "friendship" with Chloé for good.

*** Canon portrayed Marinette as being responsible for Kagami's akumatization due to her making a biased call in Adrien's favor, even though Marinette explicitly said she couldn't be sure and was never actually proven to have made the wrong call. Here, D'Argencourt ignores Marinette after she tries to analyze Kagami's rule breakage instead of providing a quick answer when asked who won the bout, and it's instead Chloé who makes a biased call, stating in no uncertain terms that Adrien was the winner.

** A small example happens in "Syren" where the fact that the Couffaines live in a houseboat is acknowledged, with Anarka and Luka using it to save Juleka and the rest of the class (aside from Marinette, Adrien, and Kim) from the flood.

** There are three different defenses the heroes use against Puppeteer's dolls in this AU: keep the doll away from her (Chat), destroy the doll (Scar), or detransform so you don't look like the doll ([[spoiler:Marigold]]). Only the first defense was tried in canon, and it was not done very well: Chat's and Ladybug's dolls were eventually captured for a NearVillainVictory.
*** The author has the heroes hide the Chat Noir doll before fighting Puppeteer, and the end tags call out Ladybug for not doing the same. (In fact, Ladybug did worse, because the Chat Noir doll was already taken -- she brought her '''own''' doll to the fight!)
** From a tag in "Pixelator": "lol i had to fix that weird time stream problem of Jagged and the Mayor 'first' meeting here somehow! XD." They judged a cooking show together in "Kung Food," and Jagged Stone gave an interview at the hotel in "Vanisher." The mayor says he only remembers "important" people, and Jagged Stone says he erases Bob Roth's friends from his memory.
** When [[spoiler:Marigold]] makes a deal with Pixelator to free half his captives in exchange for the location of Jagged Stone, she is shown thinking, "Chat Noir probably got hit as a civilian. Hopefully this will free him." The tag notes say, "It was never really 'explained' why Ladybug went with this deal with Pixelator in canon, so this is my interpretation."

*** Instead of just giving Chloé an ultimatum about ending their friendship, Adrien flat out declares they are no longer friends after her stunt with the fire alarm. He isn't fooled by her half-hearted attempts to win him back, either, and does ''not'' forgive her in the end.

*** Canon never explained how the heroes knew they were under the Eiffel Tower while in the sewers. Here, there are signs indicating what parts of the sewer are under the Eiffel Tower zone, and it's explained that they were put there due to how often the tower gets destroyed in akuma fights.

** In canon, Jagged Stone is shown to have abandoned Anarka and their children because he was afraid of being a father, making one of the nicer (if a bit eccentric) characters on the show come off as a huge jerk. [[spoiler:Here, it's established that Anarka initially didn't tell him about Luka and Juleka and also didn't let him see them, and an earlier episode has Penny mention that he pays child support for them]].

** Chloé's attempts to throw her weight around don't work on the photographer at Adrien's photoshoot in "Stormy Weather". Instead, he sasses her taste in clothes.
** Similarly, Chloé using her father to threaten Roger's job a second time fails, as by then, Roger and Sabrina know that firing him is outside the mayor's jurisdiction.

** Chloé making her father fire Roger for refusing to break the law for her whims shocks Roger and Sabrina so much that they look into things and discover that the mayor never actually had the power to do that in the first place. The next time Chloé tries the same tactic, Roger coolly informs her how empty her threat is.

** In "Silencer", a vacuum cleaner Lucky Charm isn't used to catch the stolen voices because [[spoiler:Marigold tricks him into summoning Venom for her with her voice rather than Lucky Charm with Scarlet Lady's voice]]. Instead, [[spoiler:she]] uses a net to catch the voices with.

* YoungerThanTheyLook: "Copycat" reveals that this is the case with [[spoiler:Théo, who's actually the same age as Marinette and her classmates]]. It's hinted that [[spoiler:he]] deliberately invokes this effect with [[spoiler:his goatee, protesting that it's the only reason his clients respect him]].

** When Kagami shows up to demand a place in the fencing school, Chloé says, "Wow, what a noisy show off," all while Marc and Marinette give her raised-eyebrows from her right and left, respectively.

** In "Rogercop," Tom tries to call out Alya for not stopping Chloé from dragging Marinette to the akuma. Alya points out he didn't either. Moreover, earlier, Tom had told Marinette to let the adults handle things.

* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: In "Rogercop", the Mayor fires Roger for refusing to break the law on his daughter's spurious accusations. {{Deconstructed}}, as the mayor's self-serving actions and abuse of power cost him voters, and either way he doesn't really have the power to fire Roger.

** Instead of being impressed by Volpina's flashy entrance, Chat groans at the prospect of having to deal with ''two'' {{Attention Whore}}s as fellow 'heroes'.
** In a flashback in "Vanisher", upon seeing Chloé clearly about to crash his interview, Jagged Stone irately grumbles "Aw, man."

* YouDidntAsk: Adrien is caught in an awkward situation in "The Collector" when he finds Marinette explaining to Gabriel that she already returned the lost book. He saves himself by producing the book (just returned by Master Fu) and admitting the return. When his father challenges him for an explanation, Adrien asks, "Would you have listened?"

* YoungerThanTheyLook: "Copycat" reveals that this is the case with [[spoiler:Théo, who's actually the same age as the rest as Marinette and her classmates]]. It's hinted that they deliberately invoke this effect with [[spoiler:his goatee, protesting that it's the only reason his clients respect him]].

** In "Ikari Gozen", Chat Noir and Marigold have a conversation about how Scarlet Lady has three known powers, and wonder if that means they might have other powers too. At the satrt of "Zombizou", Master Fu mentions that the Grimoire says something about Miraculous users being able to manifest new powers when they most need it. [[spoiler:These both foreshadow the climax of the latter episode, where Marigold unlocks a new power from her panic after Scarlet Lady is infected]].

* EverybodyKnewAlready: Near the end of "Crocoduel," Anarka and Jagged awkwardly try to dance around telling Juleka that the latter is her father, only to learn that the entire city knows now, [[spoiler:and that Juleka in particular has always been aware of it]]. Somewhat justified, since Anarka and Jagged couldn't have remembered blurting out their secret for all of Paris to hear while akumatized.
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** Sabrina may have been Chloé's lackey at the time, but she's confused and upset by Chloé's behavior in "Lady [=WiFi=]." As she admits to Kim, getting Alya in trouble was one thing, but getting her ''suspended''...? ''That'' caught her completely off-guard.
** Mayor Bourgeois indulges Chloé to the point he's willing to abuse his position to bend the rules for her. Nevertheless, he still forces her to apologize to Marinette for falsely accusing the latter of stealing Chloé's bracelet.
** Ms. Bustier, who generally turns a blind eye to most of Chloé's antics, disappointedly asks her if she had tried to bribe her classmates for their votes after Chloé makes an AccidentalPublicConfession.
** Adrien angrily chews Lila out for stealing Gabriel's book from him and then using it to try and trick him into thinking she's a superhero. Nevertheless, he gets no joy from seeing Scarlet Lady throw Lila into a fountain immediately afterwards, even [[WhatTheHellHero calling the heroine out on it]].
** XY has no qualms about copying other artists' works, but even he doesn't seem to approve of Bob Roth physically grabbing Marinette when threatening her to keep quiet about the plagiarism.

** Hawkmoth is sometimes quite miffed and/or concerned about the SkewedPriorities of his Akumatized victims, as such as Jalil's obsession with proving his (gravely misinformed) theories regarding Egyptology. Conversely, Hawk Moth also occasionally agrees when his victims make a fair point related to their akumatization, such as Aurore stating that Mirelle's pajama ensemble is unprofessional and Roger being upset at the mayor arbitrarily firing him on the whims of a child.
** Both the mayor and Hawk Moth are creeped out by [[EntitledToHaveYou Théo]]'s obsession with Scarlet Lady (who everyone is aware is underage), [[spoiler:both assuming he's significantly older than her]].
** Although he akumatizes him into "The Gamer" all the same, Hawk Moth finds Max's monomaniacal dislike of Marinette beating him to be excessive (he even points out to Max that he was beaten by ''two'' people).
** Despite secretly being a supervillain, Gabriel finds plagiarism distasteful, as shown by his expression when he notices that Chloé and Marinette have entered the same hat into the design contest. When Marinette proves that it was Chloé who copied her, Gabriel and Nathalie waste no time disqualifying Chloé and banning her from all future contests. Adrien even attempts to exploit this later on by informing his father of Bob Roth stealing from Kitty Section to try and help his friends.
** While Gabriel briefly considers taking advantage of Scarlet Lady's interest in his son, when he brings up the subject with Adrien, he readily accepts his rejection of the idea. It is also PlayedForLaughs in the fact that Gabriel is relieved that Adrien also doesn't like her at all.

** Even Hawk Moth and Scarlet Lady are surprised that Animan wants revenge on kids for claiming to be able to outrun a panther.
** Hawk Moth is weirded out by [[LoonyFan Vincent]]'s obsession with Jagged Stone, mentioning how glad he is that he kept Adrien home for so long.

** In "Reflekta" Marinette [[spoiler:(as the cat hero Maotif) gives Chat Noir a clue to her true identity and he gets it, though Scarlet Lady doesn't. The author comments that Marinette feels free to do this because she knows the hero identity is a one-shot. Later on, Juleka and Scarlet Lady also find out and Marinette doesn't mind if Alya is told.]]

** In "Syren", [[spoiler:Marinette also meets Master Fu]].

** In "Crocoduel", the class finds out that the same people can be akumatized again, although Rose points out that [[AuthorAvatar a certain florist]] has already had it happen loads of times.

*** The general public becomes aware of Scar's indifference to civilian casualties when [[ShootTheHostage her reactions to the kidnappings of Lila and Alya]] are televised. As one commenter on the [=LadyBlog=] puts it, "Scarlet Lady was... [[spoiler:gonna let you experience the trauma of drowning]]."
*** The end of the episode has two revelations for Marinette/Marigold: [[spoiler:Chat Noir is in love with Marinette and is directly acquainted with her in civilian life]].

** Per WordOfGod, Chloé's biased call in favor of Adrien in "Riposte" turned out to have been correct. Even InUniverse, Marinette points out that Kagami had flagrantly broken the rules, [[CheatersNeverProsper so the latter didn't deserve to win]]. Chloé wasn't aware of any of this, though, and her call was based on nothing other than her crush on Adrien.

** In "Puppeteer," the heroes prevent the titular akuma from claiming any advantages by leaving the hero whose doll was captured (Marigold in this version) detransformed so they can't be used against the other heroes. Also, they make a point of hiding the doll Puppeteer didn't get instead of bringing it with them to the fight with her. This along with other changes turns the final confrontation into a CurbStompBattle in the heroes' favor rather than the NearVillainVictory it was in canon. The latter point gets lampshaded in the tags.

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Chloé is a frequent victim of this.
** Chloé's decision to steal Marinette's work for the design contest. Not only does Marinette incorporate her name onto her designs, she points out that she has all the original sketches.
** Chloé insults Marinette right as she's handing out free croissants on Career Day, sarcastically ordering her not to get her 'Poor Grease' near her precious bracelet. Marinette responds by skipping over her entirely.
** During "Gamer", Chloé attempts to con her way into the bakery by claiming that she and Marinette have a school project together. Not only does Sabine refuse to let her in, she points out that she's fully aware of how much she's bullied her daughter over the years. (Not to mention what happened when she recently let ''[[ContinuityNod Sabrina]]'' in...)
** Chloé complains about Reflekta: "Why does an akuma have to come '''now'''?", forgetting that she anticipated getting an akuma to fight when she locked Juleka in the bathroom.
** Lila mixes this with DidntSeeThatComing in "Volpina". Her attempt to impress everyone by [[CelebrityLie claiming to be Scarlet Lady's BFF]] has more mixed results due to others having more experience with what the superheroine is ''really'' like. She also completely failed to consider what might happen if Adrien figured out that she'd 'borrowed' his book, and is caught completely flat-footed when he calls her out on the ContrivedCoincidence of her revealing her SecretLegacy to him right afterwards.
** Scarlet Lady chooses to follow [[spoiler:Marigold]] when the latter rescues Adrien from Riposte... leading the Akuma right to where she hid him. The other heroine does a {{Facepalm}} upon realizing Scarlet's stupidity.
** PlayedForLaughs in Riposte's denouncement. Once everything's been resolved, Plagg points out to Adrien that his decision to [[spoiler:convince D'Argencourt to let Kagami onto the Fencing Team]], he's unintentionally [[spoiler:sacrificed a chance to have ''Marinette'' join instead]]. ** Though Sabrina refuses to do her dirty work in "Reflekta", Chloé simply traps Juleka in the bathroom stall herself.

** Master Fu still gets to see the Miraculous grimoire at the end of "Volpina", but [[spoiler:it's Plagg who suggests the visit and Adrien who brings the book to him.]]

** In "Kung Food", Chloé still gets tied up to be cooked in soup, and Marinette still helps Chat Noir fight against the titular villain's brainwashed minions. Marinette also uses the Lucky Charm adding machine paper in the same way as in canon, dipping it into the soup to produce sticky tape to bind the akuma.
** In "Evillustrator" Chat Noir [[GrewASpine refuses to do Chloé's physics homework for her]] (in canon he was nearly tricked into doing it). She quickly drives him off, whereas in canon he left after a call from Ladybug. In both cases he leaves without doing her work.

** As in canon, one of two original heroes is called to Master Fu's shop to help with power-up formulas, and they discuss how the other original hero is starting to feel [[LockedOutOfTheLoop left out of the loop]]. Unlike in canon, the left-out character is Scarlet Lady, and Master Fu has no intention of letting her know anything.
** Marinette still comes up with a way to acquire a tear of joy for the aqua potion by telling jokes to Master Fu, because [[spoiler:Chat Noir brought Marigold along to see him]].
** A love poem written by Adrien on Valentine's day is intercepted by the holder of the Ladybug Miraculous, and she thinks the poem is about herself. ** Tikki is still the one who gets sick in "Princess Fragrance", but Chloé is much less sympathetic. The rainy weather that caused it still happened despite the heroes having fought a different akuma.
** Marinette still sneaks into the hotel disguised as a pizza delivery person in a motorcycle helmet, on a quest to save Tikki in "Princess Fragrance". The difference is that [[spoiler:she was denied entrance as Marigold because of how the magic ladybugs messed up the hotel in "Vanisher"]].
** Tikki still ends up in the car with Prince Ali, who’s trying to escape Princess Fragrance. The difference is that [[spoiler:Chloé accidentally flings Tikki in when she is trying to get into the car herself, when Kagami blocks her because of her stench.]] Additionally, Chat Noir still goes in the car and gets brainwashed when Princess Fragrance fills it with perfume.

* Hawk Moth declares in "Sapotis" that children should be able to do whatever they want, whenever they want. Cue Adrien (who has lived under Gabriel's ControlFreak parenting his entire life) [[SneezeCut violently sneezing]].

* ICantDoThisByMyself: In "Reflekta," without the help of Sabrina, [[spoiler:Chloé is outwitted by Marinette, who manages to delete the incriminating video of herself and also to get away with the camera chip with the photo she wants to delete. In the show, while he's only shown remarks that Marinette and Kagami as a pairing would be "unusual" through the description of their ice cream flavor, he was still fine with making it for them if they wanted it and a flashback also showed him making ice cream for what appeared to be a gay couple.

*** Sabrina snarks at Chloé and refuses to help carry out her schemes in "Reflekta," citing how badly it turned out for her when Chloé forced her to steal Marinette's diary.

** In "Volpina," Adrien angrily calls Lila out for stealing from him, lying to him about it, and then throwing Gabriel's book in the garbage, none of which he ever even found out about in canon. Additionally, Scarlet Lady soon outs Lila as a liar in front of the entire class by [[DisproportionateRetribution ''throwing her into a fountain in the middle of winter'']], which also leads to Lila catching a cold.

** Downplayed in "Silencer," where in addition to being tricked into making an EngineeredPublicConfession and having to offer Kitty Section a record deal to make up for it, Bob Roth also has to deal with a seething Jagged Stone, who is ''not'' happy that Bob threatened Marinette (Jagged's favorite designer) and Kitty Section (which has Jagged's two children among its members). * BoundAndGagged: Marinette gets hit with a variation this in "Copycat". The titular villain first chains her up, then gags her after she posts his hideout on social media.

** When Ivan tells Chloé off for scaring Mylène and that she sucks, Chloé scoffs and asks who thinks that she sucks. ''Everybody'' immediately raises their hands, and she asks who asked them.

** At the beginning of "Robostus", Pollen and Marinette comment on how weird it is for Max to have his best friend riding in his bag. Pollen makes these comments from the comfort of her best friend Marinette's bag.

** PlayedForLaughs with the mistake that set the whole AU into motion.

** In "The Pharaoh", Scarlet Lady accidentally drops a tube of lipstick, beaning Alya on the head with it. When she sees the incident on the Ladyblog, Chloé bitterly complains that she'll never get that back "now that [her] ''stalker'' has it".
** When the class discovers Sabrina's hand caught in Marinette's diary trap, Chloé attempts to throw her under the bus by insisting it was all ''Sabrina's'' idea.
** After tossing Alix's watch into her path and getting it shattered, Chloé sneers that it never would've happened if she hadn't trusted 'the blogger' or 'Clumsinette' to take care of it. Alya and Adrien retort that ''she'' was the one who took it and threw it down, but Alix [[TakeAThirdOption blames everyone involved]].

** Chloé is responsible for Wang Cheng's akumatization in "Kung Food", but when he's about to turn her into a soup's ingredient, she claims she did nothing to deserve it.
** Chloé also puts all the blame on Sabrina for getting akumatized in "Vanisher", but by then Sabrina has decided they are no longer friends. At the end of the episode, after [[spoiler:the new hero Marigold appears for the first time]], Tikki tells Chloé that Chat Noir needs more help after she failed to show up on time (or at all in the last case) for the last 3 akumas, to which Chloé says it's because [[YoureJustJealous the akumas are jealous of her]] and that it isn't her fault.

** In "Dark Cupid", Chloé claims that Kim has no reason to have anything against her, completely forgetting that she ruined his attempt to give Ondine a Valentine's Day present.
** In "Silencer", Bob Roth says the mess he's involved with is Kitty Section's fault for not allowing him to copy their work.

*** Going on from that, [[spoiler:it is usually Scarlet Lady who doesn't show up for a while (or at all in one case) because Chloé is usually the one targeted by the akuma; here Scar shows up almost immediately while Marigold doesn't because the class and Chat Noir are unknowingly prolonging her absence since Marinette can't easily get away to transform]].

** In "Zombizou", Marinette becomes the villain's main target instead of Chloé (who quickly transforms into Scarlet Lady), with the rest of the class and Chat Noir trying to protect her. [[spoiler:By doing this, they unknowingly prolong Marigold's absence since Marinette can't easily get away to transform]].

** Chat Noir and the class's refusal to just give Marinette up to Zombizou denies Marinette the opportunity to transform into Marigold.

** Though Nadja also showed up early to the bakery without notice and demanded she be given her cake twenty minutes before the scheduled time in canon "Timebreaker," here, her entitled behavior is emphasized. When Tom points out how early she is, she simply replies "Yeah, and?", and Sabine later reveals Nadja knew that the bakery was closed for a personal day, implying Tom and Sabine were already doing Nadja a favor by having a cake ready for her that day, making her come off as an UngratefulBastard.
