When it looks like her mother-in-law will recover and expose her, Sumin kills her. She’s arrested during Minhwan and her mother-in-law’s funeral, but escapes and tries to run over Jiwon with a car, only to hit Jihyeok instead. She’s found guilty of murder and attempted murder and is sentenced to life in prison. Finally, Sumin tries to send Jiwon’s mother to her daughter but that ends with Jiwon finally cutting Sumin off for good.
