Both comics have since been CutShort, but Greys now uses the same world in her online literature series ''WebOriginal/LoomingGaia'', which has quite different story and lore from either comic and is considered an alternate continuity.

''Fairy Tale Rejects'' is a fantasy webcomic created by Alex Greys.

A centaur warrior named Elska lives high on her mountaintop village, but one day she finds the village desolate with everyone else missing or dead. In the hand of her father's corpse, she finds the flag of Evangeline Kingdom. She decides to go down the mountain to find this kingdom and take revenge. On the way, a satyr named Itchy and a little satyr boy Tomato join her on their own quest to find Tomato's mother Ginger, who has ended up in a cave with a mysterious cecaelia, who she names Mr. Ocean.

The comic has a spinoff ''Freelance Good Guys'', focusing on the Evangelite soldiers who freed Kelvingyard working as mercenaries in an alternate continuity.

Both comics have now been cancelled, but Greys now uses the same world in her online literature series ''WebOriginal/LoomingGaia'', which has quite different story and lore from either comic and is considered an alternate continuity.

* ArborealAbode: The houses in Drifter's Hollow are made of hollowed-out trees.
* CrazyJealousGuy: Itchy gets jealous of Mr. Ocean getting Ginger's attention and keeps insulting him when they're forced to live together.
* ForcedTransformation: Itchy catches the "Jackass Disease" from a sexual encounter and gets turned into a goat.
* GoMadFromTheIsolation: Mr. Ocean has been alone in his cave for hundreds of years, and when Ginger comes along he's desperate to keep her there.
* GoodAngelBadAngel: One scene shows Itchy with two shoulder devils telling him to abandon Elska with no angel.
* GreatEscape: One story arc is about the citizens of Drifter's Hollow and Elska escaping from Kelvingyard with the help of Evan, Lukas, and Glenvar.

** Morbus the elf is described as having so much human blood in her that she'll never be as powerful as her son Elwyn.
* HatesBeingTouched: Elska has to tell other characters not to touch her multiple times.
* ILied: Sleater promises that she won't hurt Ginger if she brings Mr. Ocean to her and Kinney, but attacks her anyway and says "I changed my mind!"
* InstantlyProvenWrong: This exhange:
-->'''Gwyneth:''' Ginger, cecaelia are vicious, bloodthirsty, sea-beasts!
-->'''Mr. Ocean:''' Welcome home, Ginger. Your gown is nearly finished. Oh, and I've got sugar cookies in the oven. Would our guest like some? They have sprinkles.
* LosingYourHead: Mr. Ocean gets his head torn off by harpies, but it turns out cecaelia survive that, and he eventually grows his body back.
* RunningGag: Tomato asking what "crotch lice" is.
* SolidGoldPoop: Mr. Ocean excretes cecaelia oil, which is extremely valuable and rare due to it only coming from "royal" cecaelia. He's clearly disgusted by Ginger selling his extrement.

-->'''Gwyneth:''' At least it can't get any worse from here!

* TinyGuyHugeGirl: The first part of the story features the tall centauress Elska adventuring with the short satyr Itchy.
