* LegacyCharacter: Apparently, the title of Mistress Sixx, which was previously held by Michelle's mother.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When Sixx realized [[spoiler: that she’d been pitting Laura and Ginger against each other, and was wrong to have done so much to Laura without getting her informed consent first]].
** Retconned... sorta. [[spoiler: It was an intentional (and admittedly poorly thought out) attempt at Sixx to test Laura for a mythological super-submissive power. When Laura appeared to not have it, Sixx regretted having done it. Turns out Laura did have it after all, but it's a shield, not SuperStrength, and the test failed due to Laura not getting [[strike:physically attacked]] spanked at the time.]] She does it later by forcing Laura into a bout of BDSM-meets-Exhibitionism in front of a gaggle of perverted losers in the park... the same ones from the first few pages of the comic.

''[[http://collar6.com Collar 6]]'' is an {{Animesque}} webcomic based around the exploits of a (voluntary) slavegirl named Laura; her owner, Mistress Sixx; Sixx’s rival, Mistress Butterfly, and Sixx’s maid, Ginger. With Ginger’s promotion from maid to a “personal slave”, two new maids, named Stella and Claire, have been introduced, leading to a confrontation that may have global ramifications. ScheduleSlip has been far better than with many other webcomics, and most strips try to both advance the story and provide at least one laugh.

** Not counting the week between Butterfly's initial challenge and the spanking contest, the events of the first arc took about three days of comic time, six ''years'' of real time.

* HitchhikingHeroes: The Kappels became this after fleeing Italy, traveling in search of Atlantean knowledge and picking up followers here and there, including two personal slaves.

* SympatheticSentientWeapon: The People's Republic of Restriction had (has?) a program designed to unwanted youngsters into these. (Ostensibly they're {{Super Soldier}}s, but since their training is both hellish and depersonalizing, it fits this trope.)

* DressedAllInRubber. And latex. And PVC. And leather. And fishnet. And...

* FailureHero: A recurring problem in the second major arc. The heroes never win a fight, either getting captured or interrupted until they're lead to the next area, and the only reason they didn't spend the entire time imprisoned after the first capture was due to their maids bailing them out. By the end of it, if the plot didn't require Laura being kidnapped and a [[spoiler:sudden BiggerBad popping up]], they could have just stayed home and everything would have been better.

* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Ginger.

* DumbBlonde: Laura, to a degree. [[spoiler: Justified and Explained as being due to her running away from her CrapsackWorld Puritan homeland to live in the US.]]
* ElementalPowers: Butterfly has employed them and WordOfGod has confirmed that it is NOT the crop making the flames, but instead a manifestation of the Dominant Spirit, since ElementalPowers in the [[TheVerse Collar 6 Verse]] take the form of Dominant or Submissive energy, based on sexuality as a measurable force.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Mistress Butterfly's personal slaves adore her and she seems to love them genuinely. [[spoiler: It turns out that Butterfly had recently.. changed..]]

* ExpositoryHairstyle: Mainly in flashbacks, where the past versions of the characters have much shorter hair than the present-day ones.

* GenderRarityValue: Sybion and its God-Men.

* GoGoEnslavement: One of the first things a dom will do to a captive is put him or her in an outfit that is more to the dom's liking, as demonstrated [[https://collar6.com/archive/collar-6-280 here]]. Justified, since sexual dominance is power, and forcing someone to dress as you choose gives you the advantage from the start.
* GoodColorsEvilColors: Done to a degree with different colors of latex. Notably, yellow seems to be evil (although we've only seen one "evil" character so far).

* HairColors: We've had blonde, black, red, blue, purple and green.

* HiddenEyes: Several characters, particularly Trina.

* LoveMakesYouEvil: Appears to have happened with [[spoiler: Trina]].

* MasterOfNone: Strip #202 mentions that switches -- persons who are equally adept at being dom or sub -- tend to be weaker than those who specialize.

* NotBrainwashed: Trina claims she took Butterfly's collar willingly. That is to say, [[spoiler:Butterfly found out Trina has a PrimalFear of sharp object and uses this to break her in.]] So possibly more fear than actual brainwashing.

* CorruptChurch: The Order of Denial ''started'' as form of channeling power through BloodMagic (since it was the user's own blood, it was relatively benign). Over time, it became just a torture franchise with a religious veneer.

* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: There are some Atlantean secrets that everyone agrees should never be known, and others that can be used only with great restraint.

* DisproportionateRetribution: For quite a long time, it seems that whatever Sixx has done to Butterfly, it can't possibly merit everything the woman has done so far in her attempt to destroy Sixx's life. After all, taunting, stalking and so on is pretty bad for a cute comedy setting.[[spoiler:And then it turns out that they are all actually living in a CrapsackWorld, where The Association (the one where Sixx is headmistress) routinely assassinate innocents or otherwise ruins their lives, simply because they know too much or have too much power. More to the point, Butterfly herself hadn't done anything wrong yet when Sixx' mother tried to kill her. Among other truly awful things.]]

* DaddyHadAGoodReasonForAbandoningYou: Michelle's parents, at least as far as her mother seems to think. [[spoiler:Her father was killed by an anti-Atlantean faction, and her mother became a government phantom to protect the world she wanted her daughter to grow up in]].

* VagueAge: The entire cast.

* HairOfGoldHeartofGold: Laura may be naive, but she has a pure heart.

* BarbieDollAnatomy: Averted, in that nipples are clearly visible on topless characters, and played straight in that whenever a bare crotch is shown there is no pubic hair, though there is some anatomical detail.

* LensmanArmsRace: Even though the world is supposed to be at peace, [[spoiler:each of the five world powers is quietly trying to discover sexual techniques that will give it the edge over the others. Anyone who finds out about this is discredited, mind-wiped, or even KilledToUpholdTheMasquerade.]]

* BloodFromTheMouth: Seems to be shorthand for a serious or life-threatening injury, as opposed to the sexy or AmusingInjuries that go with this world's version of BDSM.

** AbusivePrecursors: But then we learn that they didn't want ''anyone'' but themselves to know the power of sexual energy.

* FreeLoveFuture: The setting of the comic, with the exception of some "Puritan" Territories. The Atlantean philosophies directly influenced sexuality during the renaissance, resulting in sexuality losing almost all taboo in the setting.
** For varying definitions of "Puritan" -- Laura's colony, for example, [[spoiler:was "male centric". Which means her father had '''70''' wives, was implied to be at the very least somewhat emotionally distant (and possibly abusive, given how he looks like a fairly stereotypical Shonen manga villain), and she had ''at least'' 30 full sisters. Given this data, along with the silhouette of her father with all the women chained to him, alongside the defeated look on her mother's face, it's not a stretch to suggest they weren't submissive because that's where they got their dominant and submissive energy from, but because women on her island didn't have equal rights.]] "Puritan" is more of a derogatory term for anyone rejecting the the Atlantean philosophies.

Furthermore, there seems to be less reliance on rule of law as opposed to retribution, and it turns out that Sixx ''is'' the authority. As one of the Nine Head Mistresses of the Association that controls the North America, [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem she admittedly makes the laws there. ]]
