* TooDumbToLive: Abram Cashmere has done numerous missions for Winston Lockridge's administration, one of which is shown to have killed civilians. It's [[JustFollowingOrders heavily implied]] that he has done other missions like this before the webcomic's events. After [[spoiler:Enzo almost gets killed by one of Lockridge's machines]], he decides to inform the public that Lockridge is using the machines to sustain the deadly fog that's taken over most of the world in order to prevent a mass migration. While an admirable move, he makes the boneheaded decision to [[spoiler:tell Lockridge about it ''to his face'' while turning down his offer to participate in his initiative. Naturally, Lockridge sends Titus to assassinate Abram [[HeKnowsTooMuch before he can expose him.]]]]

* BitchInSheepsClothing: Daphne establishes herself as this in Volume 2. When she needs help with her science project, she tries buttering up Enzo to try to get him to be her partner, then offering to have him be seen with her to boost his social status when he sees through it. When he refuses on both fronts, she's visibly a hair's length from snapping and opts to set fire to the radio he was working on when he isn't looking to incentivize him to partner up with her.
* BoxedCrook: After getting arrested one time too many, Archer gets sick of bailing him out and gives Arlo a choice: join the academy to become a police officer or go to prison. Arlo's reaction at the threat of imprisonment [[AnOfferYouCantRefuse makes it clear that he can't exactly refuse the offer]] and begrudgingly accepts.
* {{Delinquent}}: Arlo becomes this after the TimeSkip. After recently getting hired at a coffee shop, he makes a cappuccino machine blow up after a (admittedly rude) customer talks down to him, trashing the entire place in the process, and lands himself in a jail cell. He's been there enough times that the station officers are familiar with him and he would've been transferred to prison if Archer didn't keep bailing him out.
* DecoyProtagonist: That character shown on the cover? [[spoiler:The one on the top left corner who is most connected to the main plot? He dies right before the end of the first volume.]]

'''''Cashmere Sky''''' is a FurryWebcomic created by Jared Hudson.

In this retrofuture world, a thick poisonous fog has taken root over most of the world, forcing the population of anthropomorphic cat-like people to resettle on higher ground. Wars are fought over the scarce lands, leading to factions forming on the remaining land masses as the decades pass. Being geographically rich in resources with large territory, it didn’t take long for the region of Ion Valley to build itself from the ground up and establish worldwide dominance. However, not everyone was so lucky.

Refugees are pouring in. Tensions are brewing. Whispers of rebellion are in the air. As Police Commissioner, Abram Cashmere has been in charge of keeping Ion Valley safe but he, along with his friend Archer, begins to question the regional government after he starts to receive morally questionable orders. There have been sightings of strange machines all over the valley that lead Abram into a dangerous investigation.

Through a series of events, it eventually drags his two children, Arlo and Enzo, into the whole affair. As the brothers go on their journeys and begin to unravel a disturbing conspiracy, they must gather their courage as the perils they face become far greater than they ever anticipated; not just for them or Ion Valley, but for the entire world.

* JustFollowingOrders: Abram states this almost verbatim during an argument with Archer regarding their previous mission that killed civilians, although he questions this mindset later on.
--> '''Abram:''' If I questioned every mission we received, the stalling and inaction could create an even bigger threat. I had my orders, you had yours.
* TimeSkip: Volume Two jumps forward seven years after the events of Volume One.
