In his ''Super Mario Bros. 2'' review, he complains how difficult it is to gain life hearts, while the on-screen gameplay is actually demonstrating how easy it is. He later praises ''The Lost Levels'' in the very same review, which is a much, much more difficult game.
** When reviewing the first Ninja Turtles game, the footage he showed while complaining about the difficulty had him blatantly running into enemies and standing around letting them run into ''him''. Also, in the underwater level he was deliberately swimming into the electric plants. He was spending more time in the plants than the water.
** Exaggerated in his ''{{Contra}} Super C'' review where he claims it's harder then the first game and to prove this, kept jumping into enemies and not firing his gun. Anyone that's played ''Super C'' can tell you it's much easier then the first ''Contra''.

** Probably the most blatant example is in the ''MonsterParty'' episode, where at the beginning, Chris explains that lots of people have been coming to his door asking for directions to the big Halloween Party that he isn't even invited to, and the whole gag keeps happening throughout the course of the episode. ** IG goes back to 1987 to "prevent" the ''BackToTheFuture'' game. Apparently LJN had access to cordless phones and flat-screen monitors in the 80s.

** One of his worst instances was during his ''Contra'' episode, where he speculates what the story is and cuts to some imaginary situation at the Pentagon, then attempts to show an 8-bit rendition.
** In his ''History of Video Games Part 4'', there was a section over the game, ''Steeple Chase''. He spent ten seconds covering all the information we need over it (what its about and how to play it). What then followed was a minute long skit (out of an eleven minute video) of a reenactment of the gameplay with the Irate Gamer as the horses.
** His complaints about Abu in ''Aladdin''. He spent over 90 seconds (in a video that's only 11:35 long) complaining about something that has zero impact on the overall game, the fact Abu follows Aladdin around.
** The complaints about RoboCop not using his gun.
** All the E3 videos where he shows an entire trailer. This wouldn't be so bad if he didn't record it using his camcorder. It feels like watching a bad LetsPlay.

* ShallowParody: The Kool-Aid Man can't seem to speak in full sentences; all he says is "Oh, Yeah!"... Whereas he spoke in full sentences in the commercials and comic books.

He also claimed Nintendo stole from ''DokiDokiPanic'', even though both games were developed by Nintendo, so how could Nintendo steal from themselves?
** He also complained about the fact that Nintendo supposedly never said anything about the whole real ''SMB 2'' thing in America even though it was all over NintendoPower when ''Super Mario All Stars'' was released as a major selling point of that game, and it was even mentioned before that, in a feature on the history of the ''SuperMarioBros'' series Nintendo Power ran during the lead up to the launch of the SNES (and its launch pack-in title, ''VideoGame/SuperMarioWorld'').

Yeah, it doesn't sound like much, but the fact that he killed a character for doing ''what he's practically known for.'' He's the Kool-Aid man, of course he's going to do that!
** IG couldn't get into Ubisoft's E3 2011 conference, so what's his response? Blow up their office with a fake special effect. Because nothing says "take that" like implied property damage and murder.

** The FacePalm running gag from his ''Kirby's Epic Yarn'' video. When he does it, he adds a voice and caption to make sure we know what he's doing.

With the sheer amount of times he's complained things like "This game's too fucking hard!" or "Why couldn't they just..." he seems to resent it when developers don't make things easy on him, period. He relies on his Game Genie and cheat codes to the point where you can't help but wonder how much of it really is the game's fault.

In his ''History Of Video Games'' series, he did the same thing with CNBC's footage as well as other videos from Youtube.
*** In a news post about ''History of Video Games Part 3'', he claimed that finding information was hard because "the Internet is full of historical errors." Given his track record of inaccurate facts, that's saying a lot.
*** In the actual video, he claimed {{Atari}} was facing a serious problem because of their Pong console: copycats.
** In his ''VideoGame/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles'' video, he bashed ''VideoGame/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesTheArcadeGame'' because it didn't support 4 players (which is impossible since the NES only had 2 controller ports while the Four Score and Satellite don't support this game), but when he complained about that in ''Turtles in Time'', he let it slide because "the game was really good."
** In his ''HomeImprovement'' review, he complained about the lack of an instruction manual, yet in his ''Contra'' review he said nobody reads instruction manuals.
** With how often he uses cheats to get through a game, it might even be fair to call him on complaining about parts of games that are too ''easy''.
** He complained about the Pizza Hut ads in ''TMNT II: The Arcade Game'', yet he doesn't have a problem with placing ads on his YouTube videos?
** In the ''Contra'' review, he spent some time complaining how terrible the laser weapon even though he included it in his list of the awesome weapons in the game.
** He'll often complain if a game is too hard, asking why it couldn't be made easier. However, when he finds a game that's easy, he criticized it for being ''too easy''.
** In his ''MarvelVSCapcom3'' video, he's happy to see Arthur from ''GhostsNGoblins'' along with a themed stage. Wait, the same ''GhostsNGoblins'' he said was a horrible game? Why is he suddenly so happy about it?
** In his ''Aladdin'' video, he spends a long time complaining about Abu being pointless and stupid. Later he wanted to be rewarded with "unlockable characters" citing Abu & Jafar. I thought the monkey was stupid?
** In his review of ''SonicUnleashed'', he said that Sega should go back to the basics. In an aside of Sonic 4 in his review of ''VideoGame/SonicColors'', he criticized it for not being a new and refreshing entry.
* HypocriticalHumor: Yes, Bores himself is a hypocrite, but that doesn't mean he can attempt to make humor out of it.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Chris very rarely gives credit to other people involved in his videos. Haunted Investigators listed his name four times and a "special thanks to everyone involved"

* ItIsPronouncedTroPAY: Chris tries to make it clear that his last name is pronounced "Bor-is" not "Boars".

* PacManFever: Whenever the camera is on IG, he shakes the controller all over the place, similar to TV shows that portray game-playing as "violently shaking the controller without pressing buttons."

The difference between the two images is that the footage was cropped to keep the television's logo from being shown.
** He copies several of [[WebOriginal/TheAngryVideoGameNerd the Nerd]]'s jokes (most notably in the ''BackToTheFuture'' and his ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' review) as well as the entire concept of a foul-mouthed man who reviews games from the 80s and 90s with sketch comedy and special effects.

*** ''WebVideo/AwesomeVideoGames'' also fell victim to his unoriginality. His two part ROB video takes multiple concepts from their five part ''Gyromite'' video. Including ROB dancing, ROB "accidentally" crushing Professor Hector, ROB secretly being evil, and a fight with him at the end.
*** The drop-in appearances of Spot in the 7-Up review are timed exactly like the Third Rate Gamer's video (ironic since he did that joke to make fun of the Kool-Aid Man's drop-in appearances).
*** During his solo RoboCop review, he took [=SWAGshow=]'s PETA joke from the original crossover and reused it without giving him credit.
** Several jokes were also copied from the ''TheSimpsons'' and many other sitcoms.

He is then caught by surprise once the aliens started showing up later in the game.
** Pretty much the same thing happens in the ''Goonies II'' review. When he gets to the end of the game, he expresses surprise that DamselInDistress Annie is a mermaid. Never mind that this is mentioned on the ''very first page'' of the manual. Not having the manual isn't an excuse, as the whole thing's been posted online.

** From the same episode, whenever the scene switched between timelines, Bores reminded us what game he's playing. He shouldn't be doing this since it gives the idea that he's aware there are two timelines going on, which he shouldn't.

* ViewersAreMorons: Chris seems under the impression that the people watching have never played a video game... ever!

** He expected people not to notice the graphical differences in his Ghosts 'N Goblins review?
* WantonCrueltyToTheCommonComma: "Fustrated" is one of his {{egregious}} mispronounciations, along with "emenies," "a-static," "fustrating," etc. He is also prone to double negatives ("they don't even make no sense at all", "I can't take it no more!"), and grammar failure ("Most hardest games for the NES"). Other times he uses the wrong word, like saying "infamous" for "famous" and "predecessor" for "successor."

* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: A strange in-universe example of this in his ''Dante's Inferno'' review. He warned parents watching (just go with it) that this game might not be for kids due to some nudity. So, it wasn't the immense bloodshed, the religious symbols, or the screams of the damned that warned him it wasn't for kids, it was the digital tits. Seemed like he didn't know about the ESRB.
