[[https://www.youtube.com/user/smosh Smosh]] is a comedic Website/YouTube sketch comedy channel co-founded by the Smosh duo, Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla.

The duo began working together in the early 2000s with Flash animations on sites like Website/{{Newgrounds}} and the Smosh.com website. They moved to [=YouTube=] in the [[LongRunner fall of 2005]], and became popular for their theme song lipsyncs; their ''Anime/{{Pokemon}}'' theme song lipsync was once the most-viewed video on [=YouTube=] before a copyright takedown.

To the surprise of many, in mid-2023, it was [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwsZggwPRKc announced]] that Anthony and Ian had reconnected and successfully reacquired the Smosh brand, and that Anthony was returning as a cast member in Smosh. They intend to bring the main Smosh channel back to its roots with sketch videos primarily starring Ian and Anthony, while the other channels (Smosh Pit, Smosh Games, etc) will largely stay the same as they've been.
