In both videos he made it clear that he is ''not'' a fan of Fred ''at all'', but he takes his dislike of Fred a bit too far in the bonus reaction video when he makes the implication that only "special needs people" are capable of enjoying him, which comes across as unintentionally ableist.

** Tori is very popular. It's not uncommon to see "If I see Tori, I click" comments on the videos, and it's universally agreed among fans that she's the new SeriesMascot after Creator/{{Lia|MarieJohnson}} left/went to sabbatical. The same can be said for Lucas from ''Kids'' and also shares said mascot status with Tori, and not just for being adorable. [[note]] Ironically they both share [[NamesTheSame the same last name]], but they are not related and their last name spellings are different by a letter (Tori Va''s''quez and Lucas Va''z''quez). ** At least two of the kids in "Kids React to Rhett and Link" made the [[NamesTheSame inevitable]] ''Legend of Zelda'' reference. Only one kid brought up [[WesternAnimation/MonstersVsAliens Missing Link]] though.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: One of the kids is spelled either Maksim or Maxim. [[NamesTheSame Maksim is also a piano player while Maxim is an adult mag...]] Oddly enough, new episodes with him use the latter spelling.

** Despite the overall negative reactions in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShL2_j8-q74 "Elders React to Mortal Kombat Fatalities"]], one of them still gets a laugh out of Johnny Cage's "[[Film/TheShining Here's Johnny]]" FinishingMove. The elder's name? [[NamesTheSame Johnny.]]

* DarkSkinnedBlonde: The Johnson sisters are all blonde but are notably tanned, especially Emma. They were originally from Hawaii, then moved to Florida, and finally to California (all known for their beaches and being the sunniest states in the U.S), so that probably explains it.

* DeadpanSnarker: Plenty of the older kids fall into this, mostly Jake and William. Out of the teens, Rumor, Tom, Adam, Alix, and most definitely Eric have their moments. ''[=YouTubers=] React'' takes this UpToEleven of course, and the elders are naturally in a class of their own.

** The screen going DeliberatelyMonochrome and ''skewing'' when one of the folks starts getting ''scary''. This one gets cranked UpToEleven with the addition of an EvilLaugh and a pair of steepled hands a la [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion Gendo Ikari]].

* MasochistsMeal: The ''Vs. Food'' episodes have dealt with some of the food in that article (such as Century Eggs), plenty of spicy food (they had to eat both whole peppers and things such as buffalo wings with [[BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce progressively hotter sauce]]) and [[CordonBleughChef unsavory mixtures]] (e.g. the Pizza toppings challenge, where ham/alfredo sauce/egg/marshmallows/raspberries and goldfish candy/onion/peanut butter/pickles/tuna are the most edible ones...). ''Challenge Chalice'' takes it UpToEleven, such as adding spicy food to already hot ramen, and making gross\sour\spicy smoothies.
