** The VideoGame/Splatoon2 run at AGDQ 2018 attempted to have one of these, not helped by the fact the runner's gyro sensor went nuts any time they tried to join in. (The UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch controllers use free-floating gyro sensors for things like, on Splatoon, moving the camera, which means that any sudden movements, like dancing...) When the runner returned a year later to play Octo Expansion, he made it very clear that he wasn't going to try it again.

** Punchy started his [=SGDQ=] 2020 run of VideoGame/BabaIsYou by brandishing drumsticks and shouting "We are Sex Bob-omb, we're here to solve puzzles and go fast and stuff 1-2-3-4!" ** Many times, the donators chose for the runners to kill the animals Whenever VideoGame/SuperMetroid appears in a Super Metroid Bid War. marathon, there will always be a bid war to "Save/Kill the Animals". This is in reference to the Dachora and Etecoons that can be rescued during the EscapeSequence at the very end of the game, which requires the player to explicitly go out of their way to release them and allow them to board Samus' ship. Rescuing them is the morally correct choice, but it is slower to do so since it takes up so much time (in a speedrunning event), and thus the final decision is left in the hands of viewers. Needless to say, "Kill" has been chosen numerous times over the history of GDQ.

** AGDQ 2024 had a donation incentive for a special run of VideoGame/SuperMario64 dubbed "Drum%", which is an otherwise standard 16 Star run save for the fact that in lieu of a normal Nintendo 64 controller, the game was instead played with the Nintendo 64's controller buttons mapped to a functioning drum kit.

** In Scaz's AGDQ 2024 run of VideoGame/RiskOfRain Returns, Scaz duped a few too many Paul's Goat Hoof and accidentally goes so fast that he breaks collision detection in the final stage of the run and clipped into a wall, with no room to gain enough speed to clip back out. However, because the run is so short and the estimate was incredibly generous to accommodate for bad RNG, he decided to just reset and redo the entire run from scratch.
