Feed the World is a VideoGame/Minecraft LetsPlay series by Sjin of the Yogscast. This series is about Sjin setting off on his own to fulfill his life long dream of building a farm.

Sjin's Farm is the sequel series to Feed the World that takes place in the Yogscast Complete server, owing to the Heartbleed patch corrupting the previous farm. This show stars Sjin "expanding" his farm by purchasing a new deed and starting from scratch with Lewis.

* AwesomeButImpractical:
** Downplayed with Sjin's shotgun. It is practical, but he rarely makes ammo for it and therefore can't use it that often. He eventually makes more ammo to compensate for this, and also widens his arsenal.
** To an extent, the area of land Sjin chose to live on. While good to start off with, he very quickly finds himself running out of space. He eventually manages to expand his territory, but was slightly panicked at first.
* BadassAdorable: Jake the Dog, who once saved Sjin from in the Twilight Forest.
* BigBad: Strawfingers.
* BigDamnHeroes: Jake saves Sjin from in the Twilight Forest.
* BoringButPractical: Many of Sjin's machines fall into this.
* CallToAgriculture: The whole point of the series.
* CerebusSyndrome: Initially, Strawfingers was a somewhat amusing prankster. Then his past came to light and he stopped being as funny.
* CoolPlane: Sjin makes one for crop dusting, giving people lifts in it every now and then.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: During the intro to part 20, a zombie can be seen dancing in Sjin's house.
* HypercompetentSidekick: If there was any doubt before, it's revealed that Sjin is probably the most efficient guy on the server and therefore fell into this trope during his time at Sipsco. In this series he proves that's still true, managing to build an enormous farm while starting with limited resources. Later in the show, he eventually runs out of room and has to start expanding his territory.
* LetsGetDangerous: Amusingly subverted at one point. Sjin breaks out his PoweredArmor from Sips Co to take on a Lich and starts doing well, but can't work out what exactly he's doing wrong and can't do any damage. Then his armour loses all its charge and the Lich kicks his ass handily. Double subverted when Sjin gears up properly and takes on the Lich again, only losing owing to a server bug. When he returns a third time, it's a CurbStompBattle soundly in his favor.
* KnightOfCerebus: Strawfingers, when some of his more horrible past comes to light.
* RetGone: The reason the show ended and rebooted is that the Heartbleed patch screwed up Sjin's farm irreversibly. This means that most of the characters, bar Strafingers, no longer exist.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Sjin makes himself one because every farmer needs his shotgun. To top that off, he builds an entire arsenal.
* TheSwarm: His automated chicken farm backfires, creating an overflow of chickens which needed to be culled via TNT and Shotgun ammo, he did get some help after he "relocated" them inside his apprentice's house.

* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Sjin lampshades the duo's tendencies to get distracted and move on to something else during "Sjillies". Lewis agrees, pointing out that with farming there's simply too much to do.
* BearsAreBadNews: While no bears have actually appeared, Sjin starts a weird conversation in "Sprinkler City" about what would happen if a bear wandered into the Vatican and somehow became Pope. Lewis says one actually did, being a reasonable pope that encouraged reform, although he apparently ate several of the cardinals.
* BestialityIsDepraved: Averted, but joked about in "A House in the Hills". Once Lewis puts down a piggybank, Sjin jokes about putting a (literal) seed in it and shouting "SayMyName" based off how the system helps players find mod details in order to donate to their creators, with deliberate innuendo. Lewis immediately reacts in disgust.
* BigBad: Strawfingers is reportedly still around, according to Sjin's Tumblr page. He eventually reappears .
* BoringButPractical:
** Sjin's choice of building materials for the new farmhouse (which is a little less boring)- he opts for cobblestone, oak wood and clay bricks, instead of mahogany and stone bricks. It's not clear as to whether or not he's cheating.
** The duo agree on a series of gun turrets as a defence mechanism, should the less practical "mandrake trap" fail. So far, they haven't gotten round to making either.
** The "Ender Lilies" seeds that Sjin finds produce an Ender Pearl upon harvesting, but take an entire week to grow and nothing seems to speed them up. The guys agree that they need Ender Pearls and a safe, reliable way to farm them, so they decide that they need to start a crop.
* CallToAgriculture: Once again the point of the show.
* TheCorruption: Some tainted land is near the plot that Sjin and Lewis are working on... and to make matters worse the guys cannot contain it properly yet. Also, Duncan may be their best hope at dealing with it, yet even he's struggling. They eventually plant a Tree of Transformation to slow its spread down and purify part of the affected area, which works but is only a stopgap measure.
* MadnessMantra: Mahogany doors.
* Metaphorgotten: In "The Cavern", Sjin says that he is a god-fearing man and will happily forgive... but may have to shoot people so he can forgive them. He says it's "just the farm way".
* MotorMouth: Sjin, once again, spews out information at a surprising speed. In "Sjillies", he jokes that he gets dry mouth because he's just talking non-stop.
* MrExposition: Lewis serves as this for real-life science and in-game mods, although Sjin has a decent-ish understanding of both of these things anyway.
* NoOSHACompliance: Neither Sjin nor Lewis have done anything to deal with the giant chasm in their plot of land, which they cannot easily see due to the barley growing so high. Sjin tries to justify it as a way to kill any intruders and discourage trespassing, whereas Lewis is a bit more wary and wants to rectify the situation. Sjin at one point loses their horse by riding into it and forgetting to rescue him.
** Has since been resolved, with Sjin finally covering up the large crevices off-camera. Having said that, it is literally just one layer of dirt. If either of them happen to forget the crevice is there and decide to dig down in that area...
* OhCrap: Sjin and Lewis both freak out when they realise that taint is not far away from their land, and that without a high level of Thaumcraft skill it won't be easy to contain, let alone remove. To make matters worse, even Duncan's Thaumcraft skill isn't that high. This is eased slightly after they plant a Tree of Transformation.
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: During "Sjillies", Sjin jokes that there are werewolves on the server (there aren't), and says that they have enhanced hearing, as well as an insatiable hunger for chilli.
* RetGone: The farm and animals that Sjin owned have all been deleted owing to the Heartbleed patch, meaning that they technically never existed. Sjin has confirmed that Strawfingers has escaped it somehow.
* SeinfeldianConversation: Lewis and Sjin do have a few, though nowhere near as much as Sjin and Sips do. The bear conversation in Episode 11 has to be their most surreal by far.
* SchmuckBait: At one point discussed by Sjin, who wants to plant several mandrakes around the borders of the farm, with a sign saying "Don't farm our precious mandrakes". Lewis approves of the idea.
* SimpleYetAwesome:
** Sjin's choice of building materials for the house is hardly fancy, but he's still made a decent and cool house with what he used.
** Lewis and Sjin agree on a series of gun turrets for the border defence.
* TemptingFate: After a few mandrake attacks, Lewis reckons that it will be sufficiently safe to harvest them as it is late enough. Guess what happens immediately after he says this.
-->Sjin: Oh, we're not going to get any now!
-->Lewis: I think that's fine. I think it's sufficiently night time that they're probably gonna be alright to harvest.
-->Sjin: Oh, the moon's high enough, okay... (farms a bush and causes a mandrake to spawn, running away and screaming) You said that!
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Inverted. Sjin gets distracted by talking about how he dislikes cucumbers.
** In-universe, chilis quickly become the farm's signature crop.
