The series tells us about the small interdimensional visitors known as the Cornerfolk and their effect on the people who encounter them. These visitors can travel through dimensions via what Riley Tillon, the protagonist of the first episode, refers to as "corners," points where realities, mostly Two-Dimensional planes, intersect. Hence the name "corners," due to the shape they theorically have.

The series is centered around the small titular transdimensional visitors known as the Cornerfolk and their effect in the people who encounter them, ranging from fear in the case of a small friend group painting an abandoned nursery to obsession and eventual worshiping in the case of an "inspired man".

These small visitors travel through dimensions via what Riley refers to as "corners", points where realities, mostly Two-Dimensional planes, intersect. Hence the name "corners", due to the shape they theorically have.

The series is centered around the small titular transdimensional visitors known as the Cornerfolk and their effect in the people who encounter them, ranging from fear in the case of a small friend group painting an abandoned nursery to obsession and eventual worshipness in the case of an "inspired man".

These small visitors travel through dimensions via what Riley refers to as "corners", points where realities, mostly Two-Dimensional planes, intersect. Hence the name "corners", due to the shape they theorically have.

It's first episode centers around a man named Riley Tillon documenting his discovery of the beings and his fall into obsession with them, eventually culminating in him entering their homeworld, which he dubbed the "Cornerworld".
----
!!This series provides examples of:

* AdmiringTheAbomination: Riley Tillon and become extremely obsessed of the Cornerfolk and the Cornerworld, up to the point they lose their job over their investigation of them and find themselves unable to stop dreaming about the Cornerworld.
* AdultFear: The Cornerbabies are folded human babies who appear randomly inside the windows of the abandoned nursery and it's vicinity, implying that these babies accidentally managed to enter the Cornerworld and this is the result.

* RoomFullOfCrazy: By the end of CORNERFOLK, Riley has been drawing the Cornerworld for weeks and hanged most of his drawings to his room.
* ShowWithinAShow: The very first episode is revealed to be this in Alex's commentary, although he remarks that the folk are infact real.
* SoundtrackDissonance: Mixed with CreepyMonotone in CORNERGIRL. During the author's monologue, the voice of a man explaining what corners are can be heard.
* StylisticSuck: CORNERBABY is clearly edited in some sort of Windows Movie Maker-like program, in spite of the footage being recorded in 2021.
* TimeDilation: The Cornerworld is implied to cause this to it's victims. Riley claims that he lost his job due to repeated absences, but he feels like he just left his office just hours ago.
* TranshumanAbomination: [[spoiler:The Monument Mythos reveals that the Cornerfolk were once human, and in fact were the humans inhabiting it's main universe.]]
* TranshumanTreachery: is clearly not well-intended, willing to (possibly) sacrifice people to the Cornerworld.
* StealthSequel: [[spoiler: The season 2 finale of WebVideo/TheMonumentMythos reveals that the survivors of The Great Division have transformed into the Cornerfolk.]]
* YouCantGoHomeAgain: This is the situation Alex Kansas has to go through, the reason being [[spoiler:that he's a "cthonaut", encharged with the mission to spread the story of his homeworld with this new universe, which is heavily implied to have become the Cornerworld by the end of The Monument Mythos.]]
* WasOnceHuman: [[spoiler:The Cornerfolk are none other than the Deanverse's humans, who survived The Great Division.]]
