* SealedEvilInACan: [[spoiler:It was revealed that Alter is in fact an extremist archangel named Thyrmelius Cog who was sealed inside Enoch's body by Enoch's mother in an attempt to prevent the twisted archangel from causing mayhem for his cruel crusade against 'evil'.]]

* PlayingBothSides: Yet another revelation from Session 12 is that [[spoiler:Bloodstride has been manipulating the Protectors, the band of extortionists that includes Castilla and Magnus (who hates Necromancers), in order to cause more death that benefits the Black Spine]].

* TheCavalry: At the climax of Session 18, [[spoiler:the party is ambushed by a ''legion'' of Thornes outside Ruggawood, which tracked Kara's presence, and get between them and Luc Badeaux, who wishes to start atoning for his past by using his Spine of Death connection to help them reach the cult's base of operations. Just as one of the Thornes is about to strike down Luc, the party's friends from Ruggawood join the fight; Juliana saves Luc by shooting Thorne with a wheelchair-mounted crossbow, Ketrig presses a button to reveal various turrets he set up to defend the town, and Lancel charges into battle and manages to hold his own (a moment which had art prepared in advance)]].

* AnArmAndALeg: One of Enoch's arms has been replaced by a metallic one. When he details his full past to the others, it's revealed to be the result of an overly-harsh punishment for dishonesty as a child, leading to his current hard stance against liars.

** The GrandFinale has the Black-Veined Queen try to blackmail the party into letting her continue her plans by claiming that her remaining underlings will use the party's darkest secrets to turn Belkinus against the party if she falls, including two that were secret to the rest of the party: [[spoiler:Nathaniel's relation to Lancel]] and [[spoiler:the truth behind how Nathaniel became the Witch-Taker]].

* YouCantFightFate: Enoch is a firm believer in this, especially when it comes to the inevitable costs of lying.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Session 15 reveals [[spoiler:that the Mute Crystals Chandrelle gave to the party to capture Kara with were created using Kara's own research]]. However, the trope is ultimately Averted considering [[spoiler:the party just talked her down instead]].

* InternalReveal: A significant part of Session 6 is Enoch sharing the extent of his SplitPersonality situation with the rest of the party.

* DrunkenMaster: While absolutely plastered by a GargleBlaster, Enoch requests some paper from Nathaniel...and ends up drafting ''perfect schematics'' for a new invention, while implying he's not nearly this clever without alcohol, and telling Nathaniel [[CassandraTruth that nobody will believe him if he tells the others about this]]. It's elaborated on/subverted in the next session, as he explains that being drunk allows his [[SplitPersonality Celestial side]] to take control.

* DesecratingTheDead: Luna's motivation for fighting the Spine of Death is learning that the tomb of her father, a renowned war hero, may have been raided by necromancers so they could use his corpse as their servant.

* ICallItVera: Enoch has named his firearm "Objection", while Luna's [[DualWielding two swords]] are "Absolution" and "Retribution".

* BecomeARealBoy: Enoch's homunculus/robotic corgi companion, Kuro. Despite Kuro being nothing more than a small companion that Enoch directly controls, Kuro has had moments of some minor sentience and is capable of talking. This apparently stem's from Enoch's belief/perception that Kuro is just as much a dog as any other, which may lead to his subconscious commanding Kuro to act as such. In Episode 15 [[Kara Miharian]] noted that Kuro's actions/desires should not be possible.

* DarkIsNotEvil: Despite the terrorism caused by the Spine of Death cult, the party ends up repeatedly encountering unaffiliated Necromancers that are genuinely kind people despite their powers, such as [[spoiler:the Tortle protecting a child and their undead pet]] in Session 13 or [[spoiler:the near-entirety of Cloveway]] in Session 14.

** Enoch's explanation to the firbolg mayor of why he's a DrunkenMaster is that his [[SplitPersonality Celestial heritage]] takes control, with the firbolg unimpressed that it's not his own intellect and calling it "a devil of a different color".

* FightingSpirit: Luna's class, Echo Knight, allows her to summon an apparition resembling her deceased heroic father to assist her in combat. [[spoiler:At the end of Session 15, with the revelations about her father's spirit peacefully residing in the afterlife, it instead takes on a form more akin to Luna herself.]]

* HonorBeforeReason: Enoch has absolutely no empathy for the necromancers he fights against, to the point that Nathaniel leafing through a necromancy tome to prepare for what they're up against is considered heretical.
