** In Season 3 of [=MedBoy789=] Abaddon finally appears and announces his plans to revitalize the Arkn kingdom. In his second appearance, he uses Toby's vessel to contact Drakulah and ask him to be his second-in-command; Abaddon instructs him to have all humans with Guardian Arkn contact their Guardians, so that the Arkn can regroup and begin rebuilding their kingdom. While there are many episodes following this, neither Abaddon nor Drakulah ever appears again, and the plot is seemingly forgotten. In ''The Golden Queen'',[[note]](now deleted)[[/note]] it is revealed that Delphar has built the city of New Elysium, where he rules over the surviving Arkn -- with Abaddon seemingly out of the picture completely. (While it's possible that Delphar acted under Abaddon's orders, this is never indicated.)

** ''No More Truths'' was one of the earliest works in the Arknverse, and was basically created to act as a "testing ground" for various concepts. As such, it's chock-full of characters, concepts, and supposedly key facts that show up once, and never again.
*** While writing about The Carver, Cedric expounds on "The Joys" and the "[[https://thearknmythos.wikia.com/wiki/Feared_Ones Feared Ones"]][[note]](a concept initially borrowed from Franchise/TheFearMythos)[[/note]], whom he depicts as deities who are [[TheUnfettered controlled by no one]], [[AnthropomorphicPersonification govern human emotions]], and fight to "claim" their souls. While the descriptions of The Carver remained fairly accurate, the Joys and Fears are ultimately nothing more Arkn and Dekn who happen to have unique talents or "gifts"; none of them can rightly be called gods.
*** The Beyond, where Cedric spends quite a few ([[MindScrew very bizarre]]) chapters, is presented as a major setting, but barely features in any other works.

* TimeMaster: The Arknangel Azrael. He can slow down, [[TimeStandsStill freeze]], and reverse time. (However, he only uses these abilities on rare occasions.)) The finale of ''Solar's Crimson'' reveals that he hasn't truly "mastered" his powers to their full extent, and [[spoiler: sends him on a quest to find Redgrave and train with him for an Eternity. After he learns to use his powers to their full extent, he uses them to ''manipulate the fabric of the universe'', causing himself to appear before the birth of Ellpagg and prevent the events of ''The Knight Shift'' from occurring -- causing the universe to split off into two distinct timelines.

*** In that same episode, Michaelis acquires the Carver’s Key to the Infinitium. After deciding to keep it for himself, he makes one (failed) attempt to use it...and then seemingly forgets that he even has it. Ellpagg later instructs Michaelis to get in contact with Raphael and Cedric Kharon and find a way into the Infinitium -- presumably using the Key. Unfortunately, thanks to the cancellation of both ''Solar's Crimson'' and ''[=MedBoy789=]'', neither plot point was ever resolved. ** It goes back further than that. If Uriel hadn’t made a (rather naive, idealistic) vow [[ApeShallNotKillApe not to slay a brother]], he would have agreed to make the trip into the Infernous; Ellpagg wouldn’t have been sent in his place, he wouldn’t have become mad and corrupted, and he wouldn’t have set out on his “crusade” to awaken the Arknza. And he most certainly wouldn’t have tried to “train” Michael by forcing him into life-threatening situation and beating him. Later canon establishes that this isn't the case at all: the former was created by The Carver (independent of Deebo's help), and the latter were created by Raziel.

** The entire reason Michaelis remains in .Reality during Season III of MC is because he's on a mission to assassinate the Persopheleums, starting with Crow. He stumbles around trying to find Crow for several episodes before Crow catches him off guard, kills him with a BackStab, and sends him to the Infernous. When he gets out several episodes later, the assassination plot is forgotten in lieu of The Carver's threat of mass destruction.

** The Alex Winter followed at the start of ACFW represents Timeline A Alex: a patient of Dr. Ellis, and a survivor of the Winter Family Massacre. The Alex Winter of Timeline B was responsible for the Winter Family Massacre at age 7, and is incarcerated and on Death Row. Timeline B.2 Alex is an internet reviewer who uncovers a few things involving the Arkn and Lurkers. [[spoiler: In the episode "The Court of 3 Kings", it's revealed that all the Alexes we've met were really Uriel, living out the lives of some of his human counterparts in the Infernous as part of his punishment. (However, versions of all of these individuals do apparently exist within .Reality, with Alex A being "Alex Prime", i.e. the one with whom Uriel eventually merges.)]]
*** The vlog ''[=Starving4Truth=]'' introduces us to yet another version of Alex Winter -- this one a {{Sociopath}} who calls himself "Tony", and was acquitted of murdering his family (but hinted to actually be responsible for their deaths, due to DemonicPossession).
*** Another short-lived vlog from the Mirrorverse, ''awalkinthepark'', involves yet another version of Alex who investigates the New Age religion of "Arknism" — only to get tangled up in the crimes of The Hooks Killer.
*** Every version of Alex qualifies as an Alternate Self of King Uriel: he's .Reality's "interpretation" of Uriel as a data form human, (generated when the Arkn King threw himself into one of the .Reality engines).
** Given that the original humans were directly patterned after specific Arkn (and that the same applies to the recreations of those humans that exist in .Reality), ''all'' humans are technically alternate versions of Arkn (hence why the Debigrath Effect[[note]]a "glitch" of .Reality that causes an entity entering a new timeline to pass on its memories to, or even replace, its counterpart -- often instantaneously[[/note]] applies to the Arkn).
** Season 1 of ''Michael's Camera'' opens shortly after Michael Knight shifts into an offshoot of Timeline A (via .relapse), replacing a version of himself who was under house arrest and having trouble with Lurkers [[spoiler: (and implied to have been killed by a Lurker or Sethe)]]. Unfortunately, Michael doesn't know how to deal with Lurkers any better than his predecessor, and his next encounter with one ends with the timeline crashing and resetting.
** Season 2 opens with an alternate version of Michael, who seems to be experiencing the same things Michael Knight went through early in Season 1...right before [[spoiler: Michael Knight replaces him via the Debigrath Effect]].
*** While .Hopping (see below), Michael Knight also replaces several alternate versions of himself. In most cases, his "other self" is simply wearing a different tee-shirt (or ''no'' shirt, in the case of one Michael). However, he briefly ends up holed up in one timeline where he and Alex Winter are siblings. Michaelis later confirms that in several timelines, Michael and Alex Winter are brothers -- and that in most of those timelines (including his own), they have a sister named Elizabeth. When Michaelis first enters Michael Knight's timeline, he's surprised to find that his human brother is still alive. [[spoiler: Not to mention overwhelmed after hearing Alex's voice over the phone]].
** Michaelis himself is a special "fake" version of Michael Knight. He was created by a glitch that was caused when [[spoiler: King Uriel threw himself into one of the .Reality cores]].
*** While trapped in a "house" in Humanity's Infernous, Azrael meets several deceased Michaels from various timelines. "Tour Guide Michael" (who shows Azrael around their "cell") is a pedophile who dresses in a white turtleneck and sunglasses; [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin "Spooky Michael"]] is a silent, sinister figure in a rabbit mask who steals milk from the refrigerator; two other versions of Michael also appear briefly -- one sitting on the toilet (dressed in a tacky polyester shirt), and another in the garage who wears blood-splattered clothes and wields a baseball bat. (It turns out that the Carver was killing various versions of Michael to [[spoiler: try to find the most powerful one]].)
** In an interesting variation, Tobit and Tobias Kestler are twin brothers born in different timelines.[[note]](The Kestlers jumped timelines, somehow producing a version of the same son within each.)[[/note]] Tobit went on to fuse with Raphael and become an Arknza, while Tobias is a human prophet.
*** [=MedBoy456=] introduces us to yet another version of Toby Kestler, a young man named Cain who happens to be the Guarded Human of the mad Arkn Gynesis. (This later becomes a minor plot point in Season 2 of [=MedBoy789=]: Raphael discovers that someone is killing off alternate versions of Tobias, and immediately suspects that it's one of Toby's duplicates -- and that Cain is the culprit, due to his connection with Gynesis. The guilty party is later revealed to be [[spoiler: Elias Exodus]].)

* AlternateSelf: All of the human characters have countless variations of themselves existing throughout .Reality. [[{{Understatement}} A few]] of them have been introduced.
** Given that the original humans were directly patterned after specific Arkn (and that the same applies to the recreations of those humans that exist in .Reality), ''all'' humans are technically alternate versions of Arkn (hence why the Debigrath Effect[[note]]a "glitch" of .Reality that causes an entity entering a new timeline to pass on
Has [[AlternateSelf/TheArknverse its memories to, or even replace, its counterpart -- often instantaneously[[/note]] applies to the Arkn).

* CallForward: In [[http://deathlylogic.tumblr.com/post/151933912310/6 Chapter 6]] of ''Arknthology Stories'' (original version), young Raphael is seen peering in the windows of Uriel's lodge, fearfully gazing at Gynesis. This is in keeping with Raphael's recollection of his first, haunting childhood encounter with Gynesis in ''Of Determination and Crusades''. (Ironically, Raziel -- who spots Raph looking through the window -- speculates that he probably won't remember the incident or will "think nothing of it".)
** In (the now [[CanonDiscontinuity non-canon]]) Chapter 10, Ellpagg is just finishing slaughtering an Arkn city) is interrupted by a call from Azrael. Ellpagg rather irritably informs Azrael that he will see him soon. [[WordOfGod According to DL]], these events transpire immediately before Episode 10 of Solar’s Crimson -- hence Ellpagg’s disposition and his remarks (albeit [[spoiler: influenced by The Carver]]) about being interrupted in his "work".
* CanonDiscontinuity: The SteamPunk city of Maphridome, which was created and introduced by [=Type0Negative=], was stricken from canon after his departure. Due to this, any material taking place in that setting is now non-canonical, including ''The Court of the Traveling Crown'' and Chapters 10 and 11 of the first ''Arknthology Stories''. The only exception is ''Sarah Kestler Isn't Dead'' (in which the setting of the single chapter that takes place in Maphridome can be safely "ignored").
** Several other chapters of ''Arknthology Stories'' are non-canon due to being tie-ins to [[WhatCouldHaveBeen material that was never produced]]. These include Chapter 2 (which was intended to take place during the first, planned version of Season 2 of ''Solar's Crimson'') and Chapter 4 (which was intended to help set up the "Evil Ellpagg" character arc that would have been explored in ''TKS: ET'' and ''The Guarded Ones'').
** According to [=DeathlyLogic=], "The Quest" chapter of ''No More Truths'' is still canon; however, readers should disregard Azrael's statements about being Xerex Storn.

* ContinuityNod: In Chapter 6 of ''Arknthology Stories'' (version 1), a young Arkn boy is seen peering in the windows of Uriel's lodge, fearfully gazing at Gynesis. This is in keeping with Raphael’s account in ''Of Determination and Crusades'' (in which he remembers his first encounters with Gynesis as a child, and being terrified of him).
** In (the now [[CanonDiscontinuity non-canon]] Chapter 10, Ellpagg (who is just finishing slaughtering an Arkn city) is interrupted by a call from Azrael. He rather irritably informs him that he will see him soon. [[WordOfGod According to DL]], these events transpire immediately before Episode 10 of Solar’s Crimson -- hence Ellpagg’s remarks (albeit likely [[spoiler: being spoken by The Carver]]) about being interrupted in his "work".

* ContinuityNod: In Chapter 6 1 of ''Arknthology Stories'' (version 1), ''Rise of the Crusader'', Raphael recalls a young Arkn boy is seen peering day in his childhood when he and Asmodeus discovered a beach at the edge of the forest; he mentions that there was a "tower emitting a rotating light". Later, in the windows video "Prelude to the Call to Arms" (MC), Michaelis reminisces about the time he spent alone in his lighthouse observing the Arkn -- including two little Arkn children playing on the beach. (He had previously admitted to watching Raphael and Asmodeus training with his father.)
* ContinuityReboot: ''Michael’s Camera'' was rebooted after its first season, with the second season featuring Michael Knight living under different circumstances and experiencing similar (but subtly different) events. Added DiffLines:

* DependingOnTheWriter: In his earliest “appearances” -- which consisted of a page authored by [=FeralWasteland=] on the official wiki -- King Gilgamesh is portrayed as a bold (if egotistical), well-meaning ruler who had a tendency to make very bad decisions (and wound up being killed by Hash'bor'kanibal as a result); his portrayal in ''Of Determination and Crusades'' (also authored by [=FeralWasteland=]) is very much the same. ''Forbidden Knowledge'' paints him as a brave military hero who fell victim to the conspiracies of the Dekn and his own government. In the hands of DeathlyLogic (''Arknthology Stories''), however, Gilgamesh becomes a cruel, power-hungry tyrant who destabilizes his own government from within [[spoiler: with the help of Hash'bor’kanibal -- his secret lover and confidant]] for the sake of prolonging the conflict with the Dekn and consolidating his power. This portrayal, while regarded as the “canon” version of Gil’s character, was widely disliked by other creators in the community (and was one of the creative differences that lead to [=Type0Negative=]’s departure in late 2016).

Added DiffLines:

* ShowWithinAShow: All vlog episodes set in the Infernous qualify as type three, with the episodes acting as the [=Cloud9=] "livestream" broadcast of respective characters' torments. Typically, only Arkn and Dekn (and special humans who are privy to of the existence of the Infernous) are aware of it.
** TKS is an entire ''series'' of Show Within A Show.
** As is a large portion of [[spoiler: ''A Cry From Winter'']].

** The entire reason Michaelis stays in .Reality during Season III of MC is because he's on a mission to assassinate the Persopheleums, starting with Crow. He stumbles around trying to find Crow for several episodes before Crow catches him off guard, kills him with a BackStab, and sends him to the Infernous. When he gets out several episodes later, the assassination plot is forgotten in lieu of The Carver's threat of mass destruction.

At the time of its publication, there were indeed plans for [[WhatCouldHaveBeen Raziel to die]] at the end of the Civil War arc, setting up the conditions for the FinalBattle (i.e. the Arknza reuniting in their grief, Raguel or Chamuel taking Raziel’s place). * AbortedArc: The Arknverse contains a number of these -- many of which are the result of [[TroubledProduction the revolving door of creators departing and returning to the franchise and various series going on hiatus]].
** In the start of Act III of ''No More Truths'', there's a scene in the Elysian marketplace where Theater Mask trades with an Entraphic [[note]]a being from a race of traders[[/note]] for a Brosalvik orb. ** During Season 1 of ''Solar’s Crimson'', Michaelis discovers that his sister Elizabeth and his former human boyfriend, Mark, are both still alive in his current timeline; he mentions wanting to get in contact with them, and it seems that he's on track to do so (due to the fact that he's beginning to reconnect with his former human life). As the season winds on, however, it's completely forgotten. The plot was apparently bumped back to Season 2, then discarded completely after the series was cancelled the first time. \n** The introduction of Abaddon (Raph, Asmo and [[spoiler: Rag's]] father -- who is indirectly responsible for (In the majority of the disasters late 2017 revival, Michalis explains that occur in [=MedBoy789=]) -- is set up to be he and Mark ''did'' get back together for a time, but that they have since broken up.)

the Infernous (the first time), he gives a brief demonstration of his [[TimeMaster time powers]] on camera and explains that he needs to start of a major plot. He puts out a distress call to the surviving Arkn and begins his mission to rebuild their kingdom. He appears in one episode after his introduction...and training them. If said training happens, we never again. see it. (We do, however, see his powers in action at least twice in later episodes, hinting that he practiced using them off-screen at some point.)

** Played straight with Project Entropy. The Entropy machine was created as a duplicate of .Reality for the Arkn to live in, separating them from the Dekn once and for all. However, the program's engineers were forced to activate it before it could be completed; [[spoiler: in its unfinished state, Entropy connected to the existing .Reality and overloaded the system, causing a shutdown. * EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Many concepts from the early days of the Mythos have been refined (in some cases, multiple times) or scrapped entirely.
** The text overlay that opens the first episode of TKS dramatically recalls part of the Hethian creation myth and talks extensively about “The Father” and “The Mother” -- the Hethe De’ebo and Gar’sha, respectively -- giving the impression that they will be important to the story. (It even warns to beware “The Mother” in particular.) While De’ebo is revealed to be (somewhat) influential in the events of the series, Gar’sha makes only a brief cameo -- and neither figure features as prominently in the Arknthology as the episode implies they will be.
*** The text also mentions "The Father" creating "Heaven" (a land of gold and "endless cities of light" -- an obvious reference to the Golden Cities") "Hell" (i.e. the Infernous). Later canon establishes that this isn't the case at all: the former was created by The Carver (independent of Deebo's help), and the latter were created by Raziel.
** The earlier videos of Michael’s Camera (i.e. those filmed circa 2014) are much darker and grainier in quality. (This makes it especially jarring when they’re sandwiched in between “newer” episodes continuity-wise.)
** In “The letter” episode from Season 2 of Michael's Camera, Ellpagg explains that Michael inhabits or views events through his camera while he (Ellpagg) is using his vessel, because Ellpagg's own body — which Michael would normally inhabit under such circumstances — was destroyed in the Infernous. While it became commonplace (particularly in [=DeathlyLogic=]'s vlogs) for the Arkn-possessed to view events through their camera, the “vessel swap” concept hasn’t been brought up since. (Nor has the idea of Ellpagg's original body being destroyed.)

Michael agrees -[[spoiler: and, upon being freed, is promptly possessed by the Carver]].

** In "I have to shoot myself in the face" (MC), Ellpagg teaches Michael the secret of ".Hopping": a process of jumping between timelines that involves shooting himself in the face with one of Edgar Kharon's revolvers (creating an instantaneous Debigraff Effect). In the series finale, Michael [[spoiler: is KilledOffForReal by a gunshot to the head — from an exact duplicate of the revolver he used to go .Hopping, fired by his double, Michaelis.]]

* IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim: Raziel has this outlook. It's the reason why he doesn’t kill the corrupt government of Paradisium (who were responsible for the execution of his family) after he returns from exile -- even though he could easily wipe them all out with ''a single word''.

* InternalRetcon: The Arkn Council attempted to wipe King Gilgamesh’s treasonous actions, and his defeat by Hash'bor'kanibal, from history by rewriting the circumstances of his last battle (they claimed Gilgamesh and the Seraphim were framed by the Dekn Emperor for "treason" for the act of attacking a "Dekn scouting party") and its outcome (they claimed the battle ended in favor of Gil and the Seraphim, and that they were arrested a week later at a "celebratory banquet", stripped of their power, and executed under false charges). Luckily for them, Phobos was the only Seraphim to survive, and she didn’t witness the battle -- or the King’s disgrace and defeat. (Presumably, she did have to uphold the story of the Seraphim winning the battle and being arrested, however.)

* PhlebotinumPills: Dr. Ellis’s medications. They allow humans to see Skethe, Lurkers, and even the coding of .Reality itself. Overdosing can cause a .Relapse, which enables the user to traverse the fabric of .Reality -- entering other timelines, seeing through time, and even seeing through the eyes of others (usually their counterparts).

* RedHerring: When Azrael appears the first few times in Michael’s Camera, it’s strongly hinted that he’s the real Edgar Kharon. He dresses like a cowboy, wields a revolver that seems to have supernatural abilities, is nicknamed "Spades" by Michael Knight (short for "Ace of Spades" -- a variation of Kharon's nickname, “The Ace”), refers to himself as a "fallen Hethe" (Kharon was rumored to have become a Hethe), and is explicitly addressed by the Persopheleums as "Edgar Kharon". In Season 3 of ''Michael's Camera'', however, Azrael reveals himself to be Azrael Michaelis Winter: an [[AlternateSelf alternate version]] of Michael Knight, and the fourth Arknza of prophecy. (He did, however, use Kharon's name and identity [[spoiler: and in fact believed that he ''was'' Kharon reincarnated]] for quite some time.)

* {{Retcon}}: Ellpagg/Knight is stated to be an Arknza in early material (including several entries of ''No More Truths'' and at least one video of ''The Knight Shift''). However, it’s later established (in ''Sarah Kestler Isn’t Dead'' and an entry of ''Tales From the First Reality'') that Ellpagg’s sister, Seraphina, is the Arknza among Uriel’s children, and that the Hethian blood mostly skipped Ellpagg. In a rare case of a reverse retcon, Ellpagg was later reverted ''back'' to being an Arknza (and one of the seven Arknangel heroes) after Seraphina’s writer and creator left the franchise, taking the character with her -- with the explanation that [[HandWave "Seraphina was never mentioned by name in the prophecy"]]. [[spoiler: It also helps that the prophecy turns out to have been the invention of The Carver.]]
** In Chapter 9 of ''Book of the Mother'', Raziel tells Ambriel that the Magi college was abolished, and [[ThePurge the inquisition]] against Magi families was started by the new blood in the Paradisium government out of fear of the old blood starting a class war. However, the later chapters of ''Arknthology Stories'' (which were republished, and continued, in the reboot) reveal that [[spoiler: the The Carver secretly brainwashed the Council into going after Raziel’s family (who possessed Hethian blood), and later ''all'' old blood Magi, because he knew Gilgamesh feared their power and he wanted to get Gil to trust him]].

The particulars, such as how the vessel is acquired and which side (if any) has dominance, vary in each case.
