* UnwittingPawn: Melony is trying to control her deity power so that she can protect her friends. Unbeknownst to her, [[spoiler:the guy who's helping her train wanted to use that power for himself, so when Melony finally has enough control over her power, Niles/Zero takes over]].

Sometime in the middle, however, the focus to Meggy slowly shifts away to Melony, to the point where she's either absent in a main arc episode or doesn't contribute as much to the plot of the week. Come the graduation ceremony, only Melony graduates, and Meggy admits she has some catching up to do.
* {{Filler}}: Like the previous arc, there are filler episodes between major plot points, notably with Mario having adventures that have nothing to do with the arc. Mario manages to cause two separate apocalypses that have no bearing on the story. An episode of "Mario Does Things", which usually gets posted on Wednesdays, was posted on the 26th of March (which was on a Saturday) specifically to give the fans something to enjoy while the GLITCH crew work on the following week's movie.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: [[spoiler:Zero]] being involved in the arc was hinted at with the symbol on the God Box logo. While this may have been a coincidence InUniverse, "that guy" is definitely getting associated. There's also a suspiciously frequent usage of [[spoiler:his number]]. [[spoiler:Then he turns out to be a RedHerring]].
* GrandFinale: This arc serves as the conclusion of the MythArc about the lore involving the Super Meme Guardians that started in the Genesis Arc.
* HesBack: Villainous example. [[spoiler: You thought Zero's reign of terror was over? Take a good look at that one eyed bully]].
* HijackedByGanon: After the Box Club leader was presented as the main villain for most of the arc, "Absolute Betrayal" reveals [[spoiler: Zero]] as the mastermind, and the club leader is promptly DemotedToDragon.
* LighterAndSofter: {{Subverted}}. It seems like crazy shenanigans would happen at college while Meggy is training to be a sports coach and Melony hopes to be strong enough to protect her friends, right? Crazy shenanigans, yes. * ReturningBigBad: [[spoiler:Niles turns out to be none other than '''Zero''', who is here to find the God Box himself]]. [[spoiler:Ends up being heavily {{Zigzagged}}]].

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom:
** Yet again, Bob is this. He tries helping Melony train her deity powers, which ends up causing her to go to Omnia Academy, which gives [[spoiler:Zero]] an ideal opportunity to manipulate Melony to get to the God Box.
** Mario, wanting to join a club and being banned from the rest due to his shenanigans, joins the kooky but seemingly harmless Box Club. That said, he also qualifies as a SpannerInTheWorks thanks to him kidnapping students leading the [=SMGs=] straight to the Box Club, leading to [=SMG1=] and [=SMG2=] learning their motive and explaining the dangers of the [[ArtifactOfDoom God Box]].
* UnwittingPawn: Melony is trying to control her deity power so that she can protect her friends. Unbeknownst to her, [[spoiler:the guy who's helping her train wanted to use that power for himself, so when Melony finally has enough control over her power, Niles/Zero takes over]].
* WomenAreWiser: Played with. Meggy and Melony got into Omnia Academy via entrance exams while Bob and Fishy Boopkins got in on a special needs program but Luigi points out, that thanks to the shenanigans that Meggy and Melony had to go through to pass the exams, he and Mario technically qualified.
