The title character, Adam Seymour Duckstein (voiced by Jim J. Bullock), is an [[CampGay out-loud-and-proud]] water foul working as a male nurse who regularly deals with the mishaps that come with living as an openly gay man and his relationships with his close-knit circle of gay friends, such as Bi-Polar Bear (Creator/BillyWest), Oscar Wildcat (Creator/MauriceLaMarche) and his boyfriend Openly Gator (Creator/KevinMichaelRichardson). As this is an internet-based show about homosexuality created in the early 2000s by a hetereosexual man, expect some of it's content to be a tad... [[SocietyMarchesOn on the regressive side]].

* ADateWithRosiePalms: Regina's song "Shamalang" is about a boy she dated who masturbated while thinking about her every night because she wouldn't have sex with him.

In it, Queer Duck begins to question his homosexuality when he realizes that so many people are against it that it would be easier to just be straight. He becomes acquainted with washed-up Broadway diva Lola Buzzard, whom he thinks he might be in love with. Wanting to become straight in order to finally get married and settle down with someone, he seeks out the gay-curing baptist priest that his parents had sent him to (here named Rev, Vandergelding) who creates a concoction which turns him into a slovenly "bro"-type male. Will Queer Duck even again be the homosexual everyone knows and loves? and will Openly Gator and Oscar Wildcat ever reunite with their own loved ones?

* DarkerAndEdgier: While still ostensibly a broad comedy, the stakes are significantly higher and the {{gayngst}} is taken a little more seriously, reflecting on more RealLife anxieties of homosexual men such as conversion therapy, questioning and even the Stonewall Riots.

A DirectToVideo AnimatedMusical feature, simply titled ''Queer Duck: The Movie'', was released in 2006.

* YouHaveToHaveJews: Queer Duck's ''very'' stereotypical Jewish family. His mother is even played by Estelle Harris! Queer Duck himself is a huge fan of Music/BarbraStreisand.

* WhatDidIDoLastNight: Episode 2 opens with the aftermath of a crazy drunken party at Queer Duck's house. After looking over the mess from their bed, Openly Gator rolls over and [[BedmateReveal sees a hippo in bed with them]].
