* WeHardlyKnewYe: El Nudel Spider [[spoiler:until he rejoined the game in episode 5]].

** Trowel and Beer never interacted when they were introduced in Parkour Idiocy. They first interact in Airplane Donuts, the final episode of the first reboot before it got rebooted a second time. They argued a bit before Trowel just breaks Beer. In fact, he killed him twice that episode. They were first shown as buddies was in Kings of Parkour, where they pranked Arch together with the use of a picture of a Minion. They actually kissed in part 2 of Kiloto the Minoto, proving that they are more than just best friends.

* SexIsCool: Trowel and Beer, in part 2 of Kiloto the Minoto, reveal themselves to be queers.

* SensoryAbuse: Printer's short-tempered personality is what caused him to yell at El Nudelo Spider and, starting in episode 5, Smore.

** And we can't forget Arch and Mint either. They started out indifferent, but became best friend in A Perplexing Massacre. This friendship is short lived, however, as Smore stole Mint's soul in part 2 of Kiloto the Minoto. After this, Mint refers to Arch as simply "acquaintances," not remembering how they were best friends for a short amount of time.

* ADogNamedDog: As with Battle for Dream Island (and most web shows like this), Object Terror's scharacters are mostly named after what they are (Arch is a brick archway, Beer is a bottle of beer, etc.). There are notible exception too, such as Beep Boop, a robotic apple. Printer even [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this:

This show started out kid-friendly in 2014, but it's not until episode 3 of the first reboot things took a turn by introducing gore, and it isn't until episode 4 of the second reboot where challenges started to pretty much become a bloodbath. It was created by the most controversial object show community member, Brian "Legoboynj" Hazen.

* Crossover: Multiple of the creatures (that have originated in The Tale of El Nudelo) called Nudelos appear in this series. The titular character from Painquin also makes an appearance in A Perplexing Massacre.
* DarkerAndEdgier: Starting with A Perplexing Massacre, the show's challenges usually involve contestants dying in pretty gruesome ways, whenever it be avoiding to be killed by an AxCrazy minotaur for 12 hours or a murder mystery where someone is chosen to shoot people (one per part of the round), and he one suspected is killed.

* VocalEvolution: At first, EVERYONE was voiced by Brian himself. It's not until Parkour Idiocity where a second voice actor came into play: SilverKoopa888 as Yellow Ball.

* WouldHitAGirl: The characters will hit - and even kill - each other, regardless of gender.

* TheSpeechless: Plug Could not talk in the first reboot where he debuted, since he lost his vocal cords when he was 7 year old. This was until...
** SuddenlyVoiced: The second reboot officially breaks that canon and gives Plug the ability to speak. His first line in the entire Object Terror series waas "That was stupid."

* DeathIsCheap: There is a recovery center somewhere in the show's setting, Conotropia, that respawns characters that happen to have died.
