** Post-reboot, after Germaine gets a breast reduction she begins to somewhat regret the decision after figuring out she won't get big tips anymore at her barista job (where she wears an outfit that shows off lots of cleavage). Foamy informs her about a ring that can let her control the size of her breasts so that way she can have huge boobs only when she wants to, and by the end of "A Change of Heart" she's seen trying it out in the bathtub, going up to sizes so big that her StalkerWithACrush, Anchovy, peering in from outside her bathroom window [[YourHeadAsplode has his head explode]] from excitement. In "Big Tips" shes shown using the ring to make her breasts bigger than her head, and getting bigger tips than ever.

** In "Fomay Fanmail XIV", Foamy gets a letter from a fan that says she would hit on Germaine. This is followed by a clip of [[VisualPun a guy punching Germaine in the face]] and Foamy then saying hitting women is bad. Granted, Foamy knew what the person was talking about and missed the point on purpose to be funny.
* ContinuityNod: The "Summoning Santa" episode has an elf scold Foamy for killing several people at a park by tossing acorns at them. It was an event occurred in an earlier episode.

* [[spoiler:HookerWithAHeartOfGold:]] Subverted with Germaine, who, though generally a decent person, is ''extremely'' cynical. [[spoiler: Considering her career as a plus-sized pornstar and call girl seems to be panning out quite profitably, but she's really only doing it because she would rather be writing poetry, the subversion is entirely understandable.]]

* HypocriticalHumor: J.I.M., the creator of Neurotically Yours, continually complained about perverted fans sexualizing Germaine. As the original series progressed, he put her in more and more sexual situations.

** Germaine has complained a number of times about men only caring about women's looks, [[DoubleStandard but apparently it's okay for her]]. See BiTheWay.

** Pre-reboot, "Amplified Bible" has Foamy reading from the "Better Boobs Through Witchcraft" book, which causes Germaine's breasts to start growing. The following cartoon shows they're still growing and have become humongous, much to Anchovy's delight.

The Hatta constantly accuses white people of being racist, solely so they'll shut up and walk away. Mammed Udi is sick of all the stupid people calling his helplines and only working for the money, and isn't afraid to let them know.

** In ''In Deck Waving'', Foamy calls Germaine out for using devious tactics to win at poker.

Foamy refused to help Germaine and said that he had to deal with her whining for over 8 years about insignificant crap and things in her life she could have fixed on her own, but refused to do so or admit to it. Foamy also stated that that he ''tried'' to put Germaine on the right path many times, but since she refused to listen, he didn't give a damn what she did anymore.

** Germaine does this in ''Workplace Incident'' as a response to Anchovie's incessant ogling: "I WILL STRANGLE YOU WITH MY FUCKING BRA STRAP!!!"

** In the very recent episodes, he might not even count as ''that'' anymore. After Germaine left home to go on a trip of self-discovery, Foamy started paying for the apartment himself with his cult money. Even though she eventually came back, he's basically destroyed the definition of "pet".

** In ''In Deck Waving'', Foamy calls Germaine out for cheating.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The Hatta's and Begley's appearances in the classic series dwindled. Franklin has also met with the same fate. This is most likely due to the timeline being altered after the "Reset Button" episode changing everything, which means many old characters are no longer a part of Germaine's life. For Anchovie, this has been recently averted with his return in "Workplace Incident" and mentioned in "Relationship Issues".

** It's even more hilariously meta how he demands everyone see Germaine as a human being while insisting in the same sentence that she's a flat comic book "everywoman" character. All we need now is for J.I.M. to appear in the episodes as himself, and it will become the web animation equivalent of Dave Sim's {{Cerebus}}.

** The reboot confirms that he's still considered to be Germaine's pet, though in one of the chibisodes (which show the pair as children) Germaine outright stated that the only reason Foamy's still alive is that he knows how to feed himself. So he's a pet, but an extremely independent one.

* ACupAngst: Yes and no. Germaine for a long time was quite busty, but recently had breast reduction surgery. At first she was pleased that her back was feeling better and she wasn't being harassed as much. When she realized that she wasn't getting free stuff anymore she seemed a bit down, but was still okay with her decision. Then Foamy pointed out that without her huge breasts, Germaine would likely no longer get massive tips at Starshmucks, and she had a massive "oh fuck" moment. [[spoiler: The whole issue is resolved one episode later, when she gets a magic ring that allows her to grow her breasts at will.]]

* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The first few batches of episodes are quite odd to look at compared to the later episodes in the series; the backgrounds and character designs were more simplistic and rough while Foamy was almost a completely different character by speaking quickly and just saying whatever came to mind.

* ACupAngst: Yes and no. Germaine for a long time was quite busty, but recently had breast reduction surgery. At first she was pleased that her back was feeling better and she wasn't being harassed as much. When she realized that she wasn't getting free stuff anymore she seemed a bit down, but was still okay with her decision. Then Foamy pointed out that without her huge breasts, Germaine would likely no longer get massive tips at Starshmucks, and she had a massive "oh fuck" moment.

** In the episode A New You, Germaine gets a breast reduction. She and Foamy then argue about the pros and cons of not having a lot of chest fat. In the next episode - A Change of Heart - Foamy tells her both about the spellbook he used in the old episode and about a new ring that can be ordered online which will enlarge her breasts depending on her mood. At the end, she is putting the ring on and taking it off to see how well it works. Anchovie is at her window watching the growth and reduction until his head explodes.

** In ''Zip Codes'', Foamy threatens Franklin when the latter tries to get Foammy to fill out paperwork. Just to get his coffee: "I will fucking kill you. DO YOU HEAR ME?!?
