Snopes, a website focused on fact checking news articles, and Facebook both came under fire for treating the satirical Christian website Website/BabylonBee as a legitimate news source that needed fact checking. Yet the headlines for some of their articles include gems like "Did Democrats Demand That Brett Kavanaugh Submit to a DNA Test to Prove He's Not Actually Hitler?" and "CNN Purchases Industrial-Sized Washing Machine to Spin News Before Publication". Snopes did damage control by labeling the Babylon Bee as satire after the backlash, but the damage to their reputation was already done

* NoTrueScotsman: It goes two ways "Joe Biden VS Catholicism". A group of bishops elivate Joe Biden to the standard of what a Catholic is, with one bishop objecting he can't be Catholic because he supports abotion. The other bishops them respond that the Popes and the Catechism aren't Catholic because they disagree with Biden about abortion.

* StrawHypocrite: In "average pro abortion man", Eric, the man in an angel costume, complains about how everyone should care for those in need while he just sits around like a lazy slob who refuses to look for a job. Then when his girlfriend tells him she's pregnant, Eric immediately responds that she should get an abortion. When his girlfriend calls him out on his hypocrisy, he responds that he doesn't actually care for alturism and only pretends to when he wants free things like healthcare or housing.

They also end up forming an alliance at the end after realizing [[TheHorseshoeEffect their ideologies have killed a lot of people]].

* VisualPun: "Journalism in 2018" has two reporters literally patting themselves on the back repeatedly while engaging in a bloviating and self-aggrandizing speech about the moral fortitude of the fourth estate.

* StealthPun: He doesn't say it outright, but Seamus seems to be referencing the 'Clown World' meme in "JBP, Trump's Wind Mill Cancer, Jussie Smollett", focused on various short skits depicting a [[WorldGoneMad Bizarro upside-down world]] where Jordan Peterson's refusal to use NewSpeak causes Trans people to literally [[RetGone stop existing]], President Trump develops cancer from exposure to constant media windmills, and Jussie Smollet is vindicated as a saint.

But then when they receive word that the virus has mutated into an STD, they would not be allowed to have sex with random strangers until the lockdowns are over. Then all the men start a riot in the streets while demanding that the lockdowns be lifted.

** In "Only 2% Of Rape Accusations Are False???", he calmly breaks down the actual statistics behind this claim and the uncomfortable truth that in the vast majority of cases, there's no conclusive proof either way.

* SincerityMode: Some of his videos have an animated version of himself talking directly into a microphone, lacking the satirical tone of most of his videos, with him instead being serious about the topic he's discussing. "Racist Bingo" and "Who Will Pump the Gas?" are two examples of videos that lack the satirical tone his videos tend to have.

* StrawmanFallacy: Through the use of actual strawmen.
** This becomes a LiteralMetaphor in the recurring "Debates with Strawmen", where each side of a debate is depicted as an actual strawman who unironically argues the most extreme possible caricature of their side's position on a given topic.
** In "[=#NotAll=]", a Flubal (basically a simply-drawn {{Hobbit|s}} who talks in a slow voice) keeps reading his own, distorted interpretations into whatever Seamus's AuthorAvatar is actually saying about Flubals.
** "Jordan Peterson's Translator" mocks the infamous Cathy Newman Channel 4 interview and her repeated attempts to restate his arguments in a way that made them sound extreme or ridiculous. "So what you're saying is...?" At one point, Cathy herself is [[CallBack drawn as a Flubal]].
** Dr. Mac debates one of the Strawmen in "Dr. Mac DESTROYS Strawman". They're just throwing talking point clichés at each other without getting anywhere.
* StrawmanNewsMedia: ''The Echo Chamber'' hosted by Dr. Mac is an InUniverse news show with an extreme left-wing bias replete with {{Demonization}}, [[StrawmanFallacy Strawmanning]], LiesDamnedLiesAndStatistics, and InsaneTrollLogic.

* RageBreakingPoint: In the Debunkers video "Conservatives are more Extreme", the Debunkers clearly get fed up with the liberal bias of the video they're analyzing, as they lose their stoic demeanor several times and go on several angry rants. The video tries to shift all the blame for the current political climate in America on the political right, and when the video gives an example of conservatives being extremist, the Debunkers point to examples of leftists doing something similar when Donald Trump was in office. The video shows an old clip of Republican Senator Mitch [=McConnell=] saying Republicans must do everything they can to undermine Barack Obama so he doesn't get elected to a second term in office. Cue the Debunkers showing a clip of Democratic Senator Nancy Pelosi encouraging Democrats to do the same thing to Donald Trump. The video also points to the time Republicans did everything they could to undermine Obama's pick for the Supreme Court from being put in office. The Debunkers bring up both Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. They also point out the smear campaigns those two had to endure from the mainstream media, which is something Obama's pick didn't.

* AppealToConsequences: Parodied. Ben Shapiro's response to the healthcare debate is to claim that free healthcare amounts to stealing the labor of doctors, which means doctors are slaves, which means doctors will be forced to work on plantations, which means some doctors will be raped by their slave masters, so what happens to the half-doctor half-human babies born as a result of free healthcare?
