** In the final scene of "The Beachles," Nurse catches Crafty gazing forlornly out at the sea again. She wonders aloud why he's so down... then suddenly has a tiny flashback, where she remembers seeing a young Crafty sitting beside Sasha at a beach. The exact significance of this scene is elaborated upon throughout season 3's cartoon month episodes; they reveal that [[spoiler: Nurse and Crafty met in passing during their high-school years, and that Nurse developed a crush on him. "GEMS! Truly Outrageous!" fleshes out that memory, revealing that Nurse walked in on Crafty and Sasha enjoying each other's company on a beach]].

* AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs: Dr. Mindstein and Screw take over the castle for the Season 3 finale, "I Need a Hero Academia."

* AncientArtifacts: The Infinium Relics, which first appeared in the third season. There are seven in total, and so far four of them have been revealed.
** The Infinium Torch, which can bring gods BackFromTheDead. Doctor Mindstein used it to resurrect Zorc and Bill Cipher as part of her plans.
** The Infinium Flute, which inflicts a BrownNote on gods. Mindstein also got her hands on it, using it to "convince" Bill to work for her.
** The Infinium Sword, a weapon that can make a god DeaderThanDead; even the Torch can't bring back someone killed by the sword! [[spoiler: Sasha currently wields it, and used it to make Bill meet his end once again.]]
** The Infinium Door, which holds all the secrets of the universe and its creation. It requires all seven relics to open, and it's the ultimate goal of Doctor Mindstein to research its secrets for scientific purposes.
** The Infinium Heart, which is used as a focal point for all the eldritch energy of the universe. It was incomplete due to the extinction of almost all of the Infinia, but Mindstein managed to create a near-perfect replica. [[spoiler: It was essential in creating Nurse Worse, as Mindstein planned on using her to rule over the eldritch powers of the universe after opening the door.]]
** However, [[spoiler: it was eventually revealed that the original Heart was finished, and it turns out Crafty himself has it! It allowed him to have a mental connection with Sasha so they can share their powers.]]

[[spoiler: Well, in ''I Need a Hero Academia'', it's revealed that he's so durable because ''he'' has an Infinium Heart within him (and it's a real one instead of the replica Mindstein made for Nurse).]]

* DeepSleep: Crafty ended up in a coma after ''The Foreshadow Game''. He manages to wake up after four months -- just in time for the Season 3 Premiere -- but not before having a conversation with Sasha while he was still unconscious.
* DemotedToExtra: Despite Crafty hiring all ten of the ''Crafty'' Fan Characters on the eponymous ''Top Ten Tub'' episode, their appearances since are few and far between, much less voiced ones.

* DieOrFly: The Infinium Hearts (both Crafty's genuine one and Nurse's artificial one) are activated through a body's natural fight-or-flight response.

* FlashbackEcho: It's very common throughout the show for something to trigger either Crafty or Nurse's memories of their distant pasts.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Throughout the series, there is some subtle build-up to a larger narrative than the show initially presented:
** Sasha was first hinted at in Episode 19 as the woman Nurse Worse saw in her vision thanks to Mismagius.
** Crafty receives a '''''ton''''' of punishment across the entire series, frequently taking lethal damage yet being back on his feet soon after. One particular highlight is when the Hyrule Champions blast him to kingdom come in "Legend of Lonk." While Crafty's charred and barely able to stand up, he's very much alive; he returns to normal one week later. At first, such incidents seem to be just cartoon slapstick. However, it turns out this NighInvulnerability applies even during serious moments, such as during "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped," when Crafty wakes up from a ''four-month-long coma'' in perfect health. "I Need A Hero Academia" finally explains why Crafty has this ability: [[spoiler: within his chest, he has an authentic Infinium Heart (which, as he and Sasha realize during "Questions and Answers," he may have obtained when he and Sasha first made love). Mindstein even cites the violent slapstick moments as she rants about the heart]].
** The ''Top Ten Tub's'' "Crafty Fan Characters" hints at something involving one of the applicants, Rob Otto, who is already working for Crafty. We then see Rob constructing a giant robot, saying "don't worry; your [[Franchise/PowerRangers morphin' time]] will soon come..."
** There's a flashback played during "This is Crack(ship)," taking place after a young Crafty recovered from his attempted suicide. When he brings Sasha home with him to introduce her to the family, Crafty's mother is initially confused. The doctors told her that the girl who brought Crafty to the hospital was quite chubby, while Sasha is quite lean. Sasha quietly confirms to Crafty that she couldn't have called for help -- she didn't own a phone. Crafty's mother writes the confusion off, concluding that the hospital just made a mistake. But later, "Friendship is Arcane" reveals that [[spoiler: it ''was'' a chubby girl who got Crafty medical attention. It wasn't just anyone, either -- it was ''Nurse'', back when she was Crafty's classmate, Greta.]]
** In "Something Weird This Way Comes," Mindstein plays a certain tune on [[spoiler: the Infinium Flute, to get Bill Cipher under her control. That tune is a rendition of Disney's "It's a Small World." A few episodes later, the Disney Month episodes begin... And in the very last one, Mindstein launches her attack on Castle Infinia.]]

* SummoningArtifact: Crafty's typical weapon of choice is Draconian Vicennial (aka the "ROLL FOR DRAGON!" die), a die that he uses to summon a dragon to take care of a threat or unwanted visitor. The history behind it is covered in "The Little Purple House." The die has existed for several millennia and can summon a single dragon to assist the person who used the die. However, there's a chance the dragon won't be obedient to its summoner, and the die can be subject to a critical failure roll, which doesn't summon anything. With these risks, Crystelle advised that the user should be careful using the die... but since Crafty's the current owner, you can see how well that turns out.

* WhamEpisode: The show begins shaking up its format as early as Season 1:
** Episode 24, shows a flashback to a younger Crafty being saved from drowning by a mysterious sea woman. The flashback is drawn in a different style and is without humor.
** Episode 26 opens with a surprisingly emotional parody of "[[WesternAnimation/TheNightmareBeforeChristmas Jack's Lament]]". While it contains some humor in the form of SelfDeprecation, it still has an element of foreshadowing that hints at a larger narrative for Season 2.
** Episode 35 has another flashback presented in the same art style of Episode 24 and revealed Crafty (or [[GivenNameReveal Colin]]) almost drowned because he fell off a cliff.
** Episode 38 reveals the sea woman's name is Sasha. She was driven by instinct to save Colin from drowning and has eventually taken a liking to him. Colin even invited her to come home with him after he leaves the hospital.
** The set-up and premise episodes of the ''Foreshadow Game'' arc are all Wham Episodes so far, cementing the show's darker turn. But the episode that ''really'' takes the cake is the finale part of the finale, which formally introduced us to the BigBad of the series, Dr. Mindstein.
** Episode 58 is without a doubt, one of, if not ''the'' darkest episode in the show so far, with no comedic breaks whatsoever. The most shocking part was when Crafty revealed [[DrivenToSuicide he jumped off the cliff voluntarily in an attempt to kill himself]].
** Episode 62 has all the same wacky shenanigans you'd come to expect from the series... [[spoiler: and then there's an epilogue where Dr. Mindstein visits the grave of [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Bill Cipher]], ''[[OhCrap and brings him back to life]]''.]]
** Episode 70, being the set-up of another four-part season finale, is naturally another shocker, with [[spoiler: Mindstein showing up at Crafty's castle, paralyzing Nurse Worse in fear before Screw knocks her out and sends Crafty flying. Then Mindstein's drone army completely takes over the place, taking Pepper, Messibelle, and Crystelle captive. [[RayOfHopeEnding Then Crafty lands just outside]] [[Anime/MyHeroAcademia U.A. High School]], in need of a hero, or a whole class of them.]]

* AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs: Dr. Mindstein and Screw take over the castle for the Season 3 finale, "I Need a Hero Academia."
* AndIMustScream: In "The Foreshadow Game," all four hosts' souls were trapped in the Shadow Realm, with nothing for them to do but draw to pass the time as they wait for rescue. Fortunately, they manage to escape with the combined might of Crafty and Sasha.
* CerebusRetcon: Thought Crafty's NighInvulnerability was a result of him being an IronButtMonkey? [[spoiler: Well, in ''I Need a Hero Academia'', it's revealed that he's so durable because ''he'' has an Infinium Heart within him (and it's a real one instead of the replica Mindstein made for Nurse).]]
* DeepSleep: Crafty ended up in one after ''The Foreshadow Game''. He manages to wake up after four months -- just in time for the Season 3 Premiere -- but not before having a conversation with Sasha while he was still unconscious.

* CrossOver: All three of the then-current Dr. Crafty spin-off shows crossed over with each other in August 2019, as all three hosts were put into the dungeon by Mindstein. [[folder:Questionable Qloset]]
* ArtifactTitle: Unlike the other spin-off shows, Crafty doesn't host this one, meaning the title ''Crafty's'' Questionable Qloset is somewhat misleading.
* BecauseDestinySaysSo: Discussed in Episode 1 after Crystelle is asked why she can't warn the others of future dangers. While she can see multiple paths into the future, it's unclear which events will take place, so it's much harder to find out what to tell Crafty. And while she can see some events happening as clear as day, she's not allowed to interfere as it would disrupt the timeline of events.
* CardsOfPower: To select which questions Crystelle will answer, she uses Crafty-themed tarot cards.
* FourthWallMailSlot: The basic premise of this segment, as the audience asks questions about the show's characters. Before this show was created, Crafty also had mail slots via Curious Cat and [=AskFM=], but both accounts have since been deleted after the Qloset's premiere.

* FlashbackEcho: This happens in Episode 35, where Nurse talking about It's very common throughout the Sunken Scrolls triggers a flashback from Crafty, where we see him as a child in the hospital after nearly drowning, before being visited by Sasha.show for something to trigger either Crafty or Nurse's memories of their distant pasts.

* GondorCallsForAid: Launched all the way to Japan and left with no other option at the start of "I Need a Hero Academia," Crafty begs U.A. High School Class [=1A=] to help take back his castle from Doctor Mindstein. The class is hesitant at first because Crafty has no useful intelligence on Mindstein to help plan an attack, and Crafty advertises himself as a villain. However, Crafty's determination to save his friends wins over All-Might, whose reasoning convinces Class 1-A to help as well. The students become increasingly invested in Crafty as a person during his stay with them, and [[spoiler: they all gladly play a part in the successful castle raid.]]
* HeWillComeForMe: Nurse told herself this about Crafty to give her confidence in ''I Need a Hero Academia''. Sure enough, help did arrive to ward off Mindstein's forces.
* HumongousMecha: In ''I Need a Hero Academia'', Crafty thinks of a good way to lead the assault against Mindstein. How? [[spoiler: By having Iida take him to Minnesota, and having him steal '''Neutro'''! Needless to say, Linkara was not happy about his title card artist taking his robot.]]
* IWantMyMommy: Gender-inverted [[spoiler: During the Spinoff Special, Messibelle ends her segment crying about how she misses the doctor, calling him [[YouCalledMeXItMustBeSerious daddy]] the entire time.]] It is entirely PlayedForDrama.
* PoliteVillainsRudeHeroes: When Dr. Crafty arrives at [[Anime/MyHeroAcademia U.A. high school]], he introduces himself to the first student to approach him. Unfortunately, that student is Bakugo, who decided to blast him. Fortunately, the other classmates are polite to the doctor, but Bakugo didn't give him a chance to talk
* PostVictoryCollapse: Episode 51 reveals this is what happened to Crafty after what happened in ''The Foreshadow Game''. The physical strain caused by the damage Crafty's body took from the duel with Bakura resulted in him falling into a coma. He didn't fully recover from it until four months later.

* ThePowerOfFriendship: It took Crafty's trust in Nurse, Pepper, Messi, and Sasha to get the cards necessary to defeat Bakura.
* PreviouslyOn: Instead of the standard intro, Episodes 48-50 started with a segment recapping Sasha's duel with Ring Nurse so far.
* PunchCatch: Two examples in ''I Need a Hero Academia'', and both involving Deku on the receiving end; the first was done by Crafty when Deku wanted to test the powers of his "Quirk" with a One-For-All powered punch, [[spoiler: and the second came from Screw as part of her CurbStompBattle against all of Class 1A.]]
* PyrrhicVictory: Pretty much name-dropped at the end of ''I Need a Hero Academia''. [[spoiler: Although they won, they didn't actually defeat Mindstein, only a robot clone. And as the hologram of the real Mindstein points out, they may have defeated Screw and her Doc-Drones, but now she knows the true potential of both Crafty and Nurse that they've used the power of their Infinium Hearts. * SexyDiscretionShot: In the flashback sequence for Episode 58, we see the first time Crafty and Sasha kissed each other. We don't see what happens afterward (except for [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything glowing light]] in the window), but it's all but clear that they had a relationship upgrade.
* TitleDrop: ''I Need a Hero Academia'' naturally made use of the lyrics of "Music/HoldingOutForAHero" [[spoiler: in the form of Nurse singing a (quite beautiful) cover of the song.]]
* WeNeedADistraction: In the climax of ''I Need a Hero Academia'', [[spoiler: a combination of Neutro's assault on the castle and Nurse Worse's above-mentioned singing was meant to scatter the Doc-Drones, while the co-hosts were freed from the dungeon and the strike team infiltrated the drawbridge.]]
* WhamEpisode: Episode 24, in what could initially be mistaken for a cutaway joke, shows a younger Crafty being saved from drowning by a mysterious sea woman. The flashback is drawn in a different style and is without humor.

Episode 24, in what could initially be mistaken for a cutaway joke, shows a flashback to a younger Crafty being saved from drowning by a mysterious sea woman. The flashback is drawn in a different style and is without humor.

** The set-up and premise episodes of the ''Foreshadow Game'' arc are all Wham Episodes so far, cementing the show's darker turn. But the episode that ''really'' takes the cake is the second season finale, which formally introduced us to the BigBad of the series, Dr. Mindstein.

* AccidentalMisnaming: Crafty and Pepper accidentally call their first Chara-Cafe creation Jupiter, when the rings on the character's design were supposed to evoke the planet Saturn.

* BigBeautifulWoman: The ChubbyChef octopus girl Pepper. She is the fattest girl in the cast, which plays a big part in her appeal, and her kind and shy personality also makes her the cutest.
* {{Calacas}}: The design used for the ''VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}}'' fan-character in the fifth episode of the Chara-Cafe.
* CallBack: Crafty's refusal to get Pepper an oven in episode 53 of the main series came back to bite him in Episode 11, where the subject of the episode, Morgana le Fay, was burned in the microwave. In the end, he managed to get a real oven for her to use to prevent this from happening again.

* DisneyOwnsThisTrope: In Episode 10, Scrooge [=McDuck=] sends Crafty a subpoena, suing him for the usage of his name and likeness. And who did Scrooge hire as a lawyer? Why, [[RunningGag Jedah & Jedah Law Services]] of course!
* FedToTheBeast: The Crafty OC's fate in Episode 7, as she's locked away in storage with Junkrat ready to devour her.
* {{Foil}}: The OC Phillianne Tropy of "Duck and Cover" is meant to be this for Scrooge [=McDuck=]. Both are incredibly rich ducks but Phillianne donates her money while Scrooge is TheScrooge.
* JekyllAndHyde: In Episode 7, Crafty and Pepper decide to make their own ''Dr. Crafty'' fan character to hire as a show consultant, with a CuteMonsterGirl version of this being the result of the votes. Something that sets her aside from other Jekyll/Hyde monsters is the fact that their design is TwoFaced so both halves share a body. And while the Jekyll half has nothing but praise for the show, the Hyde half doesn't pull her punches in expressing her hatred.
* HalloweenEpisode: The fifth Chara-Cafe was a Halloween episode, despite coming out in July. Crafty justified it as how he wanted to celebrate Hallowing early to make up for celebrating it late in the last season.
* InflatingBodyGag: Episode 4 reveals that whenever Pepper feels threatened, her body bloats like a pufferfish. This comes in handy to get rid of Sebastian and Barbossa after they both confronted her.
* LaughTrack: In Episode 2, this happens after several bad jokes from Crafty and Pepper. The source of the track was some opened [[VisualPun canned laughter]].
* MisplacedRetribution: In Episode 5, Ryu and Ken wanted to make Crafty pay for not choosing ''Street Fighter'' by stealing his candy. Problem is, they accidentally took Pepper's candy instead of Crafty's.
* MonsterClown: The basic Fakémon design used for the second Chara-Cafe creation.
* NoFourthWall: In Episode 3, Crafty removes the flooding in his kitchen by getting Alex to delete the water from the video. Pepper ends up confused by this.
* OhNoNotAgain: In the fourth Chara-Cafe episode, Crafty reacts this way to the kitchen being flooded again. This time, it's caused by [[WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaid1989 Sebastian]] sabotaging the pipes.
* OppositesAttract: In Episode 8, [[MagicVersusScience a steampunk character and a fantasy character]] are paired together in a relationship.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Episode 11 has the duo create a {{Disneyesque}} version of Carmilla, who shows up at the end. She's AffablyEvil and perfectly able to eat normal food in addition to blood... except for garlic, which makes her blow up.
* PopCulturalOsmosisFailure: In Episode 6, Crafty thinks the Light Fury from ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragonTheHiddenWorld'' is a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Despite Pepper trying to convince him otherwise, he sticks to the belief that he's right.
* SelfDeprecation: In Episode 7, the Crafty OC's Hyde half attacks the show for its random storylines and outdated humor, which are some of the show's most common criticisms from fans. While Crafty is somewhat hurt by this, he feels she (and by extension, the fans) was [[JerkassHasAPoint harsh but fair]].
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: The couple created in Episode 8, which was a [[NoodlePeople skinny]], dorky [[GentlemanAndAScholar steampunk boy]] and a [[StatuesqueStunner tall]], [[AmazonianBeauty muscular]] [[OurOrcsAreDifferent orc girl]].
* VampiresHateGarlic: A rather [[ExaggeratedTrope exaggerated]] example in Episode 11, where eating cheesy garlic bread causes Carmilla to ''[[MadeOfExplodium explode]]!'' Pepper is quite surprised by this, and [[ComicallyMissingThePoint thinks it happened because vampires are allergic to cheese]].
* WritersBlock: In Episode 11, Crafty's inability to come up with ideas for that episode's theme (combined with Pepper burning it in the microwave) resulted in him scrapping his planned character, [[Myth/KingArthur Morgana le Fay]], and going with the second-most voted choice, Literature/{{Carmilla}}. He also explained that if this happens again, he'll issue an executive veto to change the subject at least once per season.

* BeachEpisode: The setting for the fourth Top Ten Tub episode.
* BigNo: In Episode 7, Messibelle does one when Crafty mentions talking about fan characters. Crafty tries to reassure her that they're talking about fan characters for their show... [[AnythingButThat which causes her to let out an Even Bigger "NO!"]]

* CrossOver: All three of the then-current Dr. Crafty spin-off shows crossed over with each other in August 2019, as all three hosts were put into the dungeon by Mindstein. Episode 12 of Top Ten Tub was the middle of this event, counting the Top Ten Superheroes.

* ExpositoryThemeTune: Parodied in Episode 4, where Crafty and Messibelle use the ''Brady Bunch'' theme to explain the backstory of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates''.

* GracefulLoser: While Crafty is usually anything but, he makes an exception in Episode 5 when he willingly loses a fight against [[VideoGame/{{ARMS}} Doctor Coyle]].
* HeadlessHorseman: One of the employees in Episode 7 was Gale Dullahan, who gets hired as Crafty's stylist. Interestingly, her work trolley has a horse's head on it and her severed head also doubles as a cosmetologist's styling head.
* HurricaneOfPuns: The third Top 10 Tub had Messibelle making a ton of puns on VideoGame/ShovelKnight, but this causes the video to explode from "pun-overload".
* ICouldaBeenAContender: The attitude of Glister in Episode 7. He tried being an EvilOverlord but was bankrupted by deciding to place his VolcanoLair in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. Now he's given up on his dream and reduced to being Crafty's janitor.
* InterspeciesRomance: Serena tries striking one up with Messi in Episode 7, but in a surprising twist, Messi views it more as InterspeciesFriendship. This is brought up again in the next episode, with Messi still just viewing Serena as a friend.
* {{Irony}}: In Episode 7 of Top Ten Tub, a fan character named Serena pops by to apply for a job as Crafty's secretary, but during the interview, she sees Messi and instantly falls in love with her. Surprisingly, though, Messi shows no sign of realizing that Serena's flirting with her. That's right: the character whose main gimmick is [[AnythingThatMoves unashamedly flirting with literally everybody]] fails to realize when she herself is the target of flirting. Even Crafty himself is shocked at her ignorance.
* ALoadOfBull: One of the job applicants in Episode 7 is a minotaur named Mabel, who works as Crafty's new fitness instructor and has the ability to lift a barbell ''with one finger''.
* MagicalGirlWarrior: Episode 7 had Frankie, a FrankensteinsMonster-themed magical girl, drop in and attack Crafty. She apologized for it since she thought he was [[TakeThat "the most evil artist on the internet", Shadman]].
* {{Medusa}}: Episode 7 features Slivia, a gorgon wearing the attire of a drive-in waitress with five snake hairs that normally do the actual work for her while she picks up the latest gossip.
* {{Narm}}: Episode 10 has an in-universe example with its #7 choice, [[VideoGame/SonicForces Infinite]]. While all the other entries on the list are intentionally funny, Crafty considers Infinite [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers the sole exception]], as his attempts to be a serious villain end up backfiring on Crafty and Messi.
* NeverSmileAtACrocodile: Duke Crocodile from Episode 7 is a [[SubvertedTrope subversion]]. Despite being a mutated humanoid crocodile, he's a KindheartedSimpleton and is rather polite to the others.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: Serena from Episode 7, who is classified as a Phaléne (which is basically a fairy mixed with a moth).
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: Also from Episode 7, Scout the Werepup, who's normally the size of a small dog, but under the full moon, becomes a hulking monster even bigger than Pepper.
* PresidentEvil: Episode 10 shows a political ad declaring Jedah Dohma entering the bid for the presidency. Naturally, his ObviouslyEvil nature shines through during his speech, and his followers still buy it.
* RobotMaid: The above-mentioned maid from Episode 27 of the main series appears again in Episode 7 of Top Ten Tub, with Messi once again worrying she'll be replaced. Thankfully, although Maidbot is there for a job at the castle, she was hired to be Messi's intern rather than a replacement. She comes equipped with several cleaning supplies installed into her, as well as Wi-fi and a vacuum that somehow doubles as a [[EnergyWeapon laser cannon]]!
* SmartJerkAndNiceMoron: Episode 7 sees the feisty werewolf Scout form this dynamic with the dim-witted Duke Crocodile as they work together as castle security guards.
* TakeThat:
** Episode 6 takes a shot at the overabundance of religious symbolism in ''Film/ManOfSteel''.
** Episode 8 has Messibelle go on an anger-filled tirade against those who think ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast'' is about StockholmSyndrome.
* TerribleIntervieweesMontage: Subverted, despite being the premise of Episode 7. While the Crafty Fan Characters are all quirky in their own ways, they're at least competent in their jobs, and Crafty ends up hiring them all.
* WeAreExperiencingTechnicalDifficulties: This happens in Episode 1 after Messibelle loses control and starts going sex-crazy over the #1 entry.
* VisualPun: Episode 7 reveals that Messi likes watching soaps... which is to say, she likes watching ''literal talking bars of soap'' that strangely speak in Spanish.
** Another case of this is seen earlier in the same episode: when one of the job applicants gives Crafty a takeout bag to get him to hire her, he complains about there being pickles in it. The second he says that Pepper's [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter sea cucumber friend Pickles]] pops out of the bag.

* TakeThat:

* ActorAllusion: In Episode 1, [=Megami33=]'s other major roles aside from Nurse Worse are mentioned, as someone asked why she, [[WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged Bulma]], [[WebVideo/SailorMoonAbridged Sailor Moon]], and [[WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged Integra Hellsing]] all sound familiar.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: On the topic of Crafty's lair in Episode 4, Crystelle lists the natural defenses towards intruders trying to find it: [[NatureIsNotNice the terrain]], [[NeverSmileAtACrocodile alligators]], and worst of all... ''CountryMusic!''

* BastardBoyfriend: Episode 2 reveals that Jedah used to be in a relationship with Crystelle, which she considered to be embarrassing in hindsight. And ever since they broke up, Jedah's been trying to use his legal firm to debunk her psychic powers even to this day. ArbitrarySkepticism, much?

** In Episode 1, she draws the Fool (Crafty), Strength (Nurse), and the Star (herself).
** In Episode 2, she draws the Star again, as well as the Death (The Zombie Minions) and the Justice (Jedah).
** In Episode 3, she draws the Strength again, as well as the High Priestess (Messibelle) and the Temperance (Pepper).
** In Episode 4, she draws the Hermit (Disgustilda), the Tower (Crafty's castle), and the Hierophant (Howard and Vinny).
** In Episode 5, she draws the Star again, as well as the Magician (the [=D20=] Dragon Die) and the Empress (Human-Form Sasha).
** In Episode 6, she draws the Fool again, the Empress again, and the Hermit again.
* CrossOver: All three of the then-current Dr. Crafty spin-off shows crossed over with each other in August 2019, as all three hosts were put into the dungeon by Mindstein. Episode 6 of the Questionable Qloset was the ending of this event.
* CurseCutShort: One happens in Episode 5 when Crystelle notices the Moon wishes to say goodbye. Instead of [[Series/BearInTheBigBlueHouse Luna]] though, it was the Moon from ''Series/TheMightyBoosh''.
-->'''Crystelle:''' WHAT THE FU-- ''(episode ends)''
* DelayedReaction: In Episode 3, Crystelle describes Messibelle's ideal mate as someone short and curvy with wings and a HotLibrarian look, before realizing that's not what she wrote.
-->'''Crystelle:''' Hey, wait a minute! Who's been tampering with my script?
-->''(AnswerCut to Serena doing a NoblewomansLaugh)''
* {{Expy}}: In Episode 1, someone asked if Crafty was an Expy of [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz]]. While Crystelle does acknowledge the similarities, she assures us that Crafty's schemes aren't as frequent and over-the-top as Doofenshmirtz's are.
* FourthWallMailSlot: The basic premise of this segment, as the audience asks questions about the show's characters.
** Before this show was created, Crafty also had mail slots via Curious Cat and [=AskFM=], but both accounts have since been deleted after the Qloset's premiere.
* FreakOut: Crystelle had a vision too intense for her to handle at the end of Episode 6, with glimpses of Sasha and Disgustilda seen among the static.
* NoodleIncident: When asked about how Crafty's workers got zombified in Episode 2, Crafty himself shows up to explain that's just how they ended up after completing college. The reason for their zombification still technically remained unanswered.
* RiddleForTheAges: Crystelle considers finding out more about Disgustilda to be this, describing it as like spending an evening with Tommy Wiseau.
* ShoutOut: Since Episode 5 was released around Disney Month, the episode makes several references to the Disney show ''Series/BearInTheBigBlueHouse''.
* SummoningArtifact: Episode 5 talks more about the Draconian Vicennial (aka the "ROLL FOR DRAGON!" die). It has existed for several millennia and can summon a single dragon to assist the person who used the die. However, there's a chance the dragon won't be obedient to its summoner, and the die can be subject to a critical failure roll, which doesn't summon anything. With these risks, Crystelle advised that the user should be careful using the die... but since Crafty's the current owner, you can see how well that turns out.
* WhyWeCantHaveNiceThings: Episode 5 revealed that "Fortune Fatale Psychic Weekly", a magazine Crystelle used to model for, was canceled since the psychics who subscribed to the magazine read the articles before they were written. Crystelle pretty much quoted this trope almost word-for-word in response.

The die has existed for several millennia and can summon a single dragon to assist the person who used the die. Part 2!

** Crafty even [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] the lack of the fourth wall in Episode 25.
--->'''Crafty''': Hey, do you feel that breeze? Must be a draft coming from our non-existent fourth wall.
** Apparently, Crafty did rebuild the fourth wall between the first two seasons. Messibelle slobbers all over the wall Episode 27.
** In the first Patreon episode, Crafty repeatedly tries to cut to the credits to end the episode, eventually leading to Alex AsHimself having to stop the gag due to the exhausting editing.
** The Season 3 finale also adds in an interesting take on the trope, having the students of [[Anime/MyHeroAcademia Class 1-A]] nonchalantly discuss their own series as if they're simply actors.
* NonSequiturThud: Crafty had two in Episode 20: "My favorite color is bacon!" and "They're trying to take my tortillas!"
* NoodlePeople: The doctor himself.
* OldShame: Discussed in Episode 62, which talks about one of the doctor's earlier projects: a mystery RPG game called "Green Detective". He developed the idea in college and came up with a proof-of-concept trailer for it, thinking it would be his magnum opus at the time. Nowadays, he can't help but cringe at his old artwork and the pretentiousness the game invoked, to the point where a commission featuring characters from that project made him (attempt to) act all edgy and dramatic.
* OneHeadTaller: This [[https://twitter.com/Doctor_Crafty/status/1049365101239832578 height chart]] of the characters shows that Crafty is at least a head taller than Nurse.
* OverlyLongGag: Episode 16 has a bit involving characters who can stop time, with [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Dio Brando]], [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Homura Akemi]], [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Shadow the Hedgehog]], and [[Series/{{Heroes}} Hiro Namakura]] making appearances. Crafty puts a stop to it before it goes further, stating that he doesn't want to give his animator a [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureDiamondIsUnbreakable Sheer Heart Attack]].
** Another occurs when he tries to find the Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Salazzle and keeps finding Salandits in episode 18. His voice gets higher, his speed gets faster, and the ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' jokes keep piling on in a hurry.
* PianoDrop: A RunningGag for Episodes 39 and 40 is that Crafty is repeatedly hit on the head by pianos his future self keeps dropping on him.
* PopCulturalOsmosisFailure: Crafty thought the ''Indiana Jones'' movie with the Holy Grail as the MacGuffin was ''[[Film/IndianaJonesAndTheKingdomOfTheCrystalSkull Kingdom of the Crystal Skull]]'', but as Nurse has to point out, the grail was actually from ''[[Film/IndianaJonesAndTheLastCrusade The Last Crusade]]''.
** The third Patreon episode also featured an old man who's been living under a rock for 86 years ([[LiteralMetaphor literally]]), so Crafty and Nurse get him up to speed about the popularity of ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros''.
* PunchedAcrossTheRoom: This tends to happen to people on the receiving end of Nurse's [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure JoJo punches]].

* TheScrappy: The titular character himself is referenced InUniverse in episode 25, though Crafty simply refers to him as [[Franchise/HarryPotter He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named]].
* SelfDeprecation: Nurse Worse is introduced acting all embarrassed, and then sighing at the low view count.
** The Pokémon Narrator ends pulling the show apart for its repetitive nature and sense of humor.
** When asked on Curious Cat about what the worst artwork Crafty ever saw was, he simply answered "Mine".
** In Episode 37, Crafty stated that ''VideoGame/DiddyKongRacing'' had about as much to do with Donkey Kong as the Top Ten Tub had to do with the original show.

* ShowerOfAwkward: In Episode 38, Crafty's daydreaming in the bathroom causes him to walk in on a towel-clad Nurse, who was taking a shower.
* SkewedPriorities: Apparently, Crafty prioritizes spending money on conventions and limo service over getting Pepper a new oven, which comes back to bite him later.
* SoundEffectBleep: In Episode 36, Crafty almost says "Holy shit!" when the [[VideoGame/ConkersBadFurDay Great Mighty Poo]] appears, but it's cut off by a [[WeAreExperiencingTechnicalDifficulties "technical difficulty" screen]].
* StuffBlowingUp: In Episode 54, this is how Crafty thinks he can make the show more "cinematic". Nurse is against the idea, [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike but Pepper and Messibelle side with Crafty here]].

* SuperZeroes: Episode 66 features a cutaway gag of a superhero team called "The Adequate Acquaintances", comprising of Bat-Baby, Arm-Fall-Off Boy, Peter Porcupine, Snowflame, and ([[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers surprisingly the most bizarre inclusion]]) the Ultimate Warrior. Crafty and Nurse are practically left speechless by how dumb the concept was.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: In episode 15, Crafty presents what he thinks is a [[Manga/OnePiece Devil Fruit]] that he fished from the garbage. He eats it, but after briefly [[AGodAmI declaring himself a god]], he suddenly hurries to the bathroom to vomit. Devil Fruit or not, he still dug it out of the trash, and it was clearly in no condition to be eaten.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Discussed and suspected by Nurse upon Season 2's introduction of Pepper, given that they're both kind-hearted, mostly green-skinned, humanoid [[BigBeautifulWoman big beautiful]] [[CuteMonsterGirl monster women.]] However, this trope is eventually subverted since Nurse is still an important and popular character in the series and Pepper is fairly different from Nurse beyond their superficial similarities. Pepper is a shy, introverted GentleGiant who is happy to work in her usual position as SupremeChef while Nurse is an outgoing, talkative PintSizedPowerHouse who is almost always ready and eager to host the show when Crafty is indisposed and as Nurse herself admits "wouldn't know what to do in a kitchen". As a result, Nurse lets go of her jealousy and resentment of Pepper and embraces her as a friend, giving support and encouragement when Pepper needs it like "Going Poster" and "The Art Of The Con(vention)" and becoming fascinated by her [[AmbiguousSituation genetic melting pot.]]
* SyntheticVoiceActor: Episode 40 has a brief segment where Crafty and Nurse are voiced by text-to-speech programs. Crafty claims it to be a budget-saving maneuver after they went on vacation.
* TakeThat: Plenty to expect in a comedy show.
** Like digs at the {{Creator/Blizzard Entertainment}} community now and then when their characters pop up in the show.
** Throws a good one at the Gamestop stores during his Patreon trailer.
** Makes one to Creator/{{Capcom}} in Episode 23, where an employee visits Morrigan saying that they're finally going to give her what the fans were asking for. Naturally, she thinks it's a brand new ''Darkstalkers'' game... but it turns out to be a guest appearance in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros''.
** Episode 25 takes several shots at WebAnimation/MonsterHigh, from the show's cheap Flash animation to the characters' repetitive body figures. It eventually culminates in the characters being thrown in jail thanks to the students of Ms. Grimwood's Academy hiring [[WesternAnimation/HarveyBirdmanAttorneyAtLaw Harvey Birdman]] to sue them.
** In Episode 37, Nurse asks Crafty if he's copying WebVideo/TheAngryVideoGameNerd, but he responds that WebVideo/TheIrateGamer is already doing that.
** In Episode 42, the lab is attacked by the cast of ''VideoGame/{{Paladins}}''. Nurse asks if Crafty will get rid of them, but he claims he doesn't have to as the free market beat him to it.
** In Episode 52, he takes a jab at ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'' and how its characters are frequently OffModel.
** In Episode 57, Pepper makes a jab at ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' by saying she only sees "good" anime. This makes Nurse burst out laughing, with Pepper unaware of what was so funny.
** Episode 60 uses a Jedah & Jedah advertisement to take shots at Lion-O's design in ''WesternAnimation/ThundercatsRoar'', Joker's appearance in ''Film/SuicideSquad2016'', and Shaggy's design in ''WesternAnimation/BeCoolScoobyDoo''.
** In Episode 61, Crafty takes several pot-shots at ''Dragon Ball Z'', mainly discussing its SeinfeldIsUnfunny status, the various {{Retcon}}s and [[PutOnABus character disappearances]], and how Android 21 feels like a fan-fiction character specifically made to appeal to a certain... ''[[EatenAlive fetish]]''.
** Episode 65 constantly referenced ''Steven Universe'''s infamous BrokenBase, to the point of fortifying the castle before they could start the episode.
** TakeThatAudience: Given how people's creations have the chance of appearing on this show and being made fun of, it's a given.
*** In Episode 13, Dr. Crafty goes on a bit about original characters who are simply Franchise/{{Pokemon}} wearing clothing, like hats, shirts, or even backpacks. He ends up developing a machine to churn out many characters [[GoingCritical before it ends up exploding from the overload.]]

* ToBeContinuedRightNow: Episode 45 has the fight stop on a ''[=JoJo=]''-style "To be continued" screen just as the art finishes, and it picks up again immediately before the episode ends.

* VisualPun: In Episode 41, Crafty's attempt to say "boobies" is censored by a pair of blue-footed boobies flying by.
* VocalDissonance: The depiction of [[LightNovel/FateApocrypha Jeanne d'Arc]] in Episode 30 parodies the French soldiers from ''Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail'', so hearing her speak in a John Cleese-esque voice is both appropriate and somewhat jarring.
* VomitDiscretionShot: Dr. Crafty tries to eat a [[Manga/OnePiece Devil Fruit]] that he found in the garbage. Despite going full evil for a few seconds, it ends up just being rotten food, forcing him to vomit off-screen.
* WeAreExperiencingTechnicalDifficulties: One example happens in Episode 27 when Crafty is carried away by a stampede of [[Memes/SonicTheHedgehog Ugandan Knuckles]].
** It happens again in Episode 34 after a Mega-Slowbro destroys the camera.
* WeirdCrossover: In Episode 36, Crafty proposes three crossovers idea to match the ''Mario + Rabbids'' crossover: ''VideoGame/{{Splatoon}}'' and ''VideoGame/HuniePop'', ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' and ''Franchise/StreetFighter'', and ''VideoGame/DonkeyKong'' and ''VideoGame/GodOfWar''.
* WhoWritesThisCrap: After saying something embarrassing in Episode 29, Crafty demanded to know who wrote that line of dialogue. The zombie writer did it as payback for being chased by Junkrat.

Part 1 of my Main Page Generalization Process. For future reference, be sure any entries written here discuss the main show in general terms. We now have a recap page to cover specific examples from specific episodes. The same can be said for any entries that cover a character in general terms; those entries can be moved to the character page. Also keep in mind that my work won't be perfect.

''[[https://www.youtube.com/DrCrafty/ Dr. Crafty]]'' is a weekly Website/YouTube art series created by Alexander Tansley, a Website/DeviantArt title card artist known for WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall, WebOriginal/PositivelyDreadful, and various original pieces of art. Each episode has Dr. Crafty, and his assistant Nurse Worse, work on creating a concoction that is centered around a certain theme for that episode or a commissioned concoction. During the creation, the two partake in some riffing, with some [[HilarityEnsues hilarious outcomes]]. Among other things, it is very common for characters from other works to appear and interact with the show's cast. Typically, episodes are released weekly under a particular monthly theme, with each theme lasting four episodes.

The show gained a few spin-offs that supplement the main show. With those spin-offs comes a new character to help Crafty host them. Each of their episodes air monthly, coinciding with the main show's monthly themes. They are listed here in the order they were released:
* ''Crafty's Chara-Cafe'' has a format similar to the main show's, with an exclusive focus on original characters. The specific theme of each episode's character design is voted upon by the show's Patreon supporters, from a selection of theme-appropriate choices. The show is co-hosted by Pepper the Octo-Chef and Pickles the Sea Cucumber.
* ''Crafty's Top Ten Tub'' provides top ten lists of theme-appropriate subjects. The show is co-hosted by Messibelle the Slime Maid.
* ''Crafty's Questionable Qloset'' serves as the show's [=QnA=] segment, with three questions answered per episode. The show is exclusively hosted by Crystelle the Mysterious Fortune Teller.
* ''Crafty's Shake-Up Salon'' shares a similar format to both the main show and the ''Chara-Cafe''. This time, Patreon supporters vote on theme-appropriate existing characters for the show to improve upon. The show is co-hosted by Stylene the Witch.

As the series continues, however, it becomes clear that a larger narrative is at play. In addition to new cast members being introduced with their own arcs, details regarding Crafty and Nurse's storied, unusual histories are elaborated upon, and they are forced to confront them whether they like it or not. Soon enough, the Crafty Crew finds itself involved in a plot with divine consequences, all while still trying to keep Crafty's show afloat.

!!''Dr. Crafty'' provides examples of:

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:Main Series Tropes A - H]]
* AbsentAnimalCompanion: Both Crafty's pet skeleton dog Bonnie and Nurse's pet blob monster Goozie have disappeared without a trace after their debut. Turns out the Top 10 Tub revealed what happened to them: Bonnie [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere ran away from the doctor]], and Goozie went to join "The Society of Blobs", a cult for Mr. Blobby. Although, since they were more or less a demonstration of creature concoctions for Crafty's commission rules, it's somewhat [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] that they're not on the show anymore: they effectively served their purpose already.
* ActorAllusion: Episode 61, a ''Franchise/DragonBall''-themed episode, makes a nod to Creator/TeamFourStar and its member [=Megami33=]. Crafty tried being subtle about it, [[DontExplainTheJoke but the Narrator blatantly stated she voices Nurse Worse]].
* AdamWesting: Crafty's "agent in the Disney Parks" during Disney Month is actually Alex Tansley, the voice of Crafty and the creator of the show, going on rides and making various snarky jokes.
* AmoralAttorney: Guest character [[VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}} Jedah Dohma]] is characterized as a crackpot lawyer. He even has his own law firm: “[[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment Jedah & Jedah]],” which specializes in [[DealWithTheDevil Faustian deals]] and [[{{Slapstick}} comedic abuse]].
* AntiVillain: All of Crafty's co-hosts are [[SlidingScaleOfAntiVillains Type IV]]. Aside from working for a[[InformedAttribute (n alleged)]] supervillain, there is really nothing villainous about them.
** Hell, even Crafty himself counts as an anti-villain. He never does anything harmful or truly evil, as his schemes come across as a bunch of CartoonishSupervillainy, and he's even a JerkWithAHeartOfGold to the other co-hosts.
* AnthropomorphicPersonification: Throughout Disney Month, the main show focuses on drawing human representations of the Ride/WaltDisneyWorld areas based on each park's iconic centerpieces.
** Episode 67 had Epcot, basing her design around Ride/SpaceshipEarth.
** Episode 68 had Hollywood Studios, basing his design around Ride/TheGreatMovieRide.
** Episode 69 had the Animal Kingdom, basing the design around the Tree of Life.
** And Episode 70 had the Magic Kingdom. This one was different since the design was based around the six areas of the park instead of a single attraction.
* AuthorAppeal: Crafty is an unashamed Nintendo and Disney fanboy.
** In fact, you'll see a lot of Crafty's favorite series be subjects of episodes, including ''{{VideoGame/Darkstalkers}}'', ''{{Franchise/The Addams Family}}'' and ''{{Franchise/Scooby Doo}}''.
** [[MsFanservice Sexy ladies.]]
** ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'', seen both here and in many of title cards he's done for ''WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall''
* BailEqualsFreedom: Episode 28 sees Nurse getting arrested after starting a CuteMonsterGirl revolt (ItMakesSenseInContext), so Crafty has to use his commission money to pay for her bail.
* BaitAndSwitch: In Episode 22, Crafty talks about the relationship of a certain romantic couple. Nurse thinks he's talking about the two of them, but Crafty instead reveals he's talking about Gomez and Morticia Addams. Nurse ends up fainting afterward.
** The second Patreon episode has Crafty tossing a pony plushie at Linkara. He tosses Pinkie Pie, but Linkara ends up with Sunset Shimmer. Crafty's answer is remarkably flippant:
--->'''Crafty''': [[ComicBook/OneMoreDay It's magic. I don't have to explain it]]!
--->'''Linkara''': '''''[[BerserkButton AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA]][[OverlyLongScream AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!]]'''''
* BatScare: Crafty manages to weaponize it against {{Special Guest}} ''[[https://www.youtube.com/user/peanut3423 Alex Rochon]]'' by summoning a horde of Zubats.
* BeachEpisode: Episode 39 takes place during a beach vacation for everyone, although Crafty only chose to go to the beach so he can reminisce about Sasha.
* BlackAndGrayMorality: Crafty may be a CardCarryingVillain, but he's actually quite AffablyEvil and a JerkWithAHeartOfGold. Even his self-proclaimed evil deeds fall under the realm of CartoonishSupervillainy and end up being rather harmless in the grand scheme of things, even played for laughs most of the time. On the other hand, there's [[BigBad Doctor Mindstein]], a KnightOfCerebus with ''truly'' evil ambitions, including [[ColdBloodedTorture torture]], [[MindRape mind-raping]], OffingTheOffspring, and [[MeatgrinderSurgery mutilation]]. Also, while she talks politely to her victims, she comes across as FauxAffablyEvil in contrast to Crafty's genuine kindness.
* BlackComedy: Whatever happens to characters of different intellectual properties that are often subjects of videos? They get stuffed in a crate a-la {{Franchise/Indiana Jones}} [[ImAHumanitarian and get eaten]] by ''{{VideoGame/Overwatch}}'' character Junkrat.
** Episode 13 ends with the entire lab covered in Pokémon corpses. Crafty declares the episode a big success.
** In Episode 32, when on the subject of preventing Pokémon evolutions with an Everstone, Crafty notes he can do the same to humans...with enough experimentation, that is.
* BigBeautifulWoman: Nurse Worse. She's quite plump and is established as being quite gorgeous both in-universe and in real life. Her weight isn't acknowledged until Episode 20 as the reason for her not being affected by the cold.
* BigFancyCastle: Episode 58 finally gives us a look at Crafty's lair from the outside, as seen [[https://twitter.com/BluePaintSea/status/1113972805597638657 here]]. It's depicted as an elaborate castle located in the Florida Everglades, complete with specific sections for the kitchen and bathroom.
* BigNo: Crafty's reaction to missing October after looking forward to doing several Halloween-themed episodes.
* BlobMonster: Crafty creates one for Nurse Worse in episode four.
* BrickJoke: Episode 39 had a piano drop on Crafty’s head as punishment for deciding to go on a beach vacation, and the next episode shows him sending the piano back in time to drop it on his past self.
* BusmansHoliday: Episode 39 sees Crafty taking a vacation from drawing by going to the beach... where he proceeds to do some drawing once again.
* TheCameo:
** [[WebOriginal/PositivelyDreadful Kid Sideburns (whom Crafty previously drew title cards for)]] voices Gus the Hitchhiking Ghost in Episode 24.
** The second Patreon-sponsored episode features a cameo from [[WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall Linkara]] (whom Crafty also drew title cards for) to explain the basic history of ComicBook/{{Zatanna}}, though Crafty stops him before he starts reviewing her debut comic.
* CantTakeCriticism: In Episode 38, the Hyrule Champions showed up to get Crafty for criticizing ''Breath of the Wild''. Even though Crafty had just as many compliments as he had complaints, the Champions still retaliated by using the Divine Beasts to fry him.
* CerebusSyndrome: Starting with the end of Episode 46, the show started going into a more serious, story-driven direction with the Season 2 finale arc.
* CharacterFilibuster: In Episode 31, Crafty lists off all the starter Pokémon he chose, claiming his choices are the best and ignoring all of Nurse's attempts to stop him from speaking.
* ColorMotif: According to Crafty in Episode 27, he prefers a green color scheme to keep things consistent on the show.
* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: Crafty tortures the voice actors in his dungeon by forcing them to watch fan-dubs of ''Manga/MermaidMelodyPichiPichiPitch'' on repeat.
* CrackPairing: The show's patrons voted on two random characters to ship for an InUniverse example, and Episode 56 gives us the results of the polls: [[Franchise/MastersOfTheUniverse Skeletor]] and [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Garnet]].
** Episode 57 also features crack pairings between various {{Original Character}}s and the Crafty crew, but it's rather downplayed compared to the previous episode.
* CurbStompBattle: Episode 35 features a [[VideoGame/{{Splatoon}} Splatfest]] pitting Crafty's popularity against Nurse's. It was a unanimous win for Nurse, while [[EpicFail Crafty somehow got -2% of the votes]].
* CuteMonsterGirl: Most of Crafty's cohosts are cute monster women, and quite a diverse bunch at that. The first is Nurse Worse, a cheerful and plump young woman reminiscent of Frankenstein's Monster. Season 2 introduces viewers to the remaining core characters: Pepper, a kindhearted Octopus mutant, and Messibelle, an energetically lewd slime maid, and both are occasionally portrayed as some of the most desirable women in the cast (Pepper receives Valentine's gifts in abundance in "Ad-ORC-Able," and Prince Sidon reveals that Messi is quite famous for her beauty in "Aquatic Characters).
* DealWithTheDevil: In Episode 23, Crafty makes a deal with Jedah to trade the souls of his [=YouTube=] commenters for more views and Patreon money, but Jedah later voids the contract because [[TakeThat the souls he obtained were nothing but internet memes]].
* DecliningPromotion: In Episode 39, Pepper thinks she and Messibelle are being promoted because they're appearing in the main show instead of just the spin-offs, but Crafty quickly rejects that idea.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Crafty spends time ripping into ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'s'' villain teams throughout "IT'S YA BOI." When he reaches Team Plasma, he calls out [[VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite Ghestis]] on his scheme of conning trainers into releasing their Pokemon. After all, from what Crafty can tell, nothing is stopping said trainers from ''going out and catching new Pokemon to rebel against Ghetsis''.
* DidYouJustRomanceCthulhu: Crafty had a romantic relationship with [[AdorableAbomination Sasha]] in his youth. While they've broken up several years ago, it turns out that they still love each other, opening up the possibility of getting back together.
* {{Disneyfication}}: Discussed in Episode 60 when Crafty finds out the Disney fairytales are based on darker literary works. This revelation shatters Crafty's belief that Disney created the stories themselves.
* DramaticThunder: Every episode begins and ends with this, and starting with the third season we actually see the lightning as it flashes over the castle.
** Episode 34 begins with more flashes of lightning than normal following everything Nurse and Darksilvania say. Naturally, the dramatic effect is ruined by Crafty.
* DropInCharacter: If the subject of the episode's art is fan art, expect the characters depicted to drop in.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Some of the Season One episodes were kinda rough around the edges. The sound-mixing made the music and sound effects louder than the characters' voices, there were a lot more technical difficulties with the footage, and the talking bits were shorter and contained a lot more throw-away jokes.
* EdutainmentShow: Partially, thanks to Nurse Worse's frequent drawing advice.
* EvilLaugh: In TheStinger of "Danse Macabre," Nurse attempts imitating Vincent Price's laugh from ''Music/{{Thriller}}''. [[NoblewomansLaugh It's not even close]], and [[BreakingTheFourthWall her VA even breaks character to admit that she can't imitate the laugh]].
* FanConvention: In Episode 53, Crafty decides to take his co-stars to a convention, complete with limo transport and new character t-shirts.
* FashionShow: In Episode 52, Crafty was expecting to be ready for model shoots of himself and the others; what he didn't know, though, was that the episode was about model ''sheets''. He did manage to get his photo shoots in the end, courtesy of Creator/HirohikoAraki.
* FatAndSkinny: Nurse and Crafty, respectively. This was even lampshaded in Episode 35 when Nurse stated she had "all the meat" while Crafty had "all the bones".
* FauxHorrific: Just the sight of the Japanese sprites from ''Pokémon Red and Green'' was enough to send Crafty and Nurse running in fright.
* FusionDance: Episode 59 sees Crafty trying to fuse two things to create a new internet trend. He tries fusing Messi with Kurbodia, and Pokémon fusions via commission requests, but eventually decides to do Dr. Seuss Fusions (Feussions, as he called it.) [[NoJustNoReaction You can guess how Nurse and the audience react]].
* GagBoobs: Discussed in Episode 41, where Crafty and Nurse talk about how to draw different-sized breasts realistically, instead of going for more ridiculous shapes as certain artists do.
* GenderBender: In Patreon Episode 3, Crafty discovers a Super Crown in the lab and puts it on, turning into a woman naturally dubbed "Craftette". Crafty despised the change at first until he notices it trending online and puts it back on again.
* GetARoom: Crafty's response to Gomez and Morticia Addams making out in his lab.
** This was also his response towards Nurse's CutenessProximity behavior to her Water-Type Fakémon.
* GiantFootOfStomping: A [[Series/MontyPythonsFlyingCircus Monty Python]] foot crushes the video in Episode 30, [[RealLifeWritesThePlot resulting in some of the footage being lost]].
* GilliganCut: When addressed by Nurse Worse on what happened to some of the 'fan art' pieces of previous episodes, we see a lot of the characters stuffed in a large metal container.
** In Episode 34, Nurse shows concern over Darksilvania being allowed to use a Fire-Type Fakémon unsupervised. Crafty asks [[WhatCouldPossiblyGoWrong what could happen]]... and cut to Darksilvania using his Fakémon to terrorize a town.
* GoshDangitToHeck: Episode 66 has Robin from ''Series/Titans2018'' drop in for a visit, and his language is significantly toned down compared to the PrecisionFStrike he's infamous for.
* GroinAttack: In Episode 41, [[ItMakesSenseInContext Nurse tosses a computer at Crafty]], but unlike other times where she hurts him, this time she aims ''below'' the waist...
* HaHaHaNo: Nurse Worse's reaction upon Crafty's suggestion on going to a burlesque show.
* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal:
** In "Original Characterror," Crafty creates a machine to churn out Original Characters who are just Pokémon with bits of clothing photoshopped on.
** {{Special Guest}} ''[[https://www.youtube.com/user/Trickywi Trickywi]]'' in "Feelin' Thot Thot Thot" is represented by a Sylveon with a purple hood.
* HalloweenEpisode: From Episodes 21 - 26, Crafty wanted to do several Halloween episodes. However, due to his Pokémon journey taking longer than expected, he ended up having to do these episodes in December. To work around this, he decided to dub them "[=HalloWinter=] Episodes".
* HappilyMarried: Who else but Gomez and Morticia from ''Franchise/TheAddamsFamily'' as they appear to collect their concoction from Dr. Crafty and Nurse Worse in Episode 22. It barely takes the first minute or so into their onscreen appearance that they start completing each other in Crafty's piece.
* {{Heatwave}}: In Episode 42, the lab is affected by the summer heat due to the air conditioning being broken. This causes Crafty to suffer from heatstroke, while Nurse's dead body parts start to stink.
* HolyGrail: What Crafty was looking for in Episode 30. He claimed to have found it at the end, but the "grail" turned out to be just a plastic drinking cup.
* HostileShowTakeover: Just as Crafty finishes drawing all of the ''Fiona Frightening'' characters, [[spoiler:the Boogieman, the game's BigBad, takes control of the show to do an art time-lapse of himself without any commentary from Crafty or Nurse.]] It's notable for being one of the first times the show was [[NightmareFuel completely devoid of humor]].
* HurricaneOfPuns: Dr. Crafty and Nurse Worse love their puns. Given the right subject matter, they can really let them loose.
** In Episode 15, both of them rattled on a lot of hand-based puns.
** In Episode 35, Crafty makes so many ink puns that Nurse pounds the living daylights out of him at least three times, just to get him to stop. (That doesn't stop Nurse from making ink puns herself.)
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Main Series Tropes I - Q]]
* IAmNotWeasel: Crafty thinks his evolved Grass-type Fakémon is a donkey, but both Nurse and Darksilvania have to constantly correct him by saying it's a rhino.
** And after simply telling him doesn't work, Nurse just resorts to beating Crafty with a Wonky Donkey book.
* ImAHumanitarian: Guest characters are locked in a storage room and forced to eat each other. Junkrat appears to be the last man standing. In episode 24 the Sanderson Sisters show this in spades. Mere seconds after getting resurrected, the three of them hungrily surround Nurse Worse with the intent to eat her. Mary, impressed by Nurse's largeness, claims Nurse will keep them fed for centuries and Sarah gleefully calls Nurse "Plump and juicy!". Winifred even jokes that Mary and Sarah not [[EvilHasABadSenseOfHumor "play with their food".]]

* InterruptingMeme: In Episode 29, Crafty introduces himself as "Interrupting Crafty" and subsequently interrupted Nurse's introduction. Needless to say, [[BerserkButton she doesn't take it well]].
* LamePunReaction: Episode 29 featured a joke so bad that a disclaimer said the writer will "pay for his crimes". Cue one of the zombie writers being chased by Junkrat.
* LampshadeHanging: Both Dr. Crafty and Nurse Worse realize how often characters that become the focus of an episode make appearances on the show, as highlighted in episode 14.
* LastSecondWordSwap: In Episode 45, when talking about Alucard, Crafty almost says he has a gigantic [[FreudWasRight dick]], but he catches himself and says "ego" instead. Nurse still gets aroused by the statement, though.
* LemonyNarrator: The narrator of the gijinka based episodes grows increasingly distasteful towards the show until [[spoiler: he's shot and replaced.]]
** The narrator of the second Patreon episode tried to narrate in the style of ''Breaking the Magician's Code'' until Crafty sent him away.
** And now the Dragon Ball Z narrator appeared in Episode 61, much to the annoyance of the doctor, since he wouldn't shut up about everything the two were talking about. Crafty got him to stop by unplugging his microphone.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: The ''WebAnimation/DeathBattle''-themed episodes have art depicting two characters against each other, with Crafty and Nurse rooting for one of them as the combatants argue over who would win.
** Episode 43 was VideoGame/BanjoKazooie vs. VideoGame/YookaLaylee. [[spoiler: Banjo & Kazooie win.]]
** Episode 44 was [[VideoGame/{{Overwatch}} D.Va]] vs. [[VideoGame/{{ARMS}} Mechanica]]. [[spoiler: D.Va wins.]]
** Episode 45 was [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Dio Brando]] vs. [[Manga/{{Hellsing}} Alucard]]. [[spoiler: Dio wins.]]
** Episode 46 was [[Anime/YuGiOh Yugi Moto]] vs. [[Manga/CardcaptorSakura Sakura Kinomoto]]. [[spoiler: Sakura wins.]]
* LongLostRelative: In Episode 61, a Raditz parody of Crafty, named "Crocker Dafty", appeared in the lab claiming to be his older brother. But he's quickly dismissed by Disgustilda as [[SubvertedTrope a random weirdo who stole Crafty's clothes]].
* LoopHoleAbuse: Crafty does it to ''his own commission prices,'' referring to a humanoid Digimon as a Simplified Character when it would otherwise be a Creature Concoction.
* LoveTriangle: One has opened up between Crafty, his OldFlame Sasha, and his lab assistant Nurse Worse. The latter is only one-sided because [[CannotSpitItOut Nurse can't bring herself to tell Crafty his true feelings]].
* MasculineLinesFeminineCurves: Crafty's design is notably sharper and more angular than his female co-hosts, who all have smoother, more rounded designs to them.
* MindScrew: The Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Mismagius has this effect on Crafty and Nurse when they encounter it, giggling as it disappears, flipping the video screen (which sends both Crafty and Nurse falling from the top of the screen) and trapping them in a nightmare made up of [[Series/NoelsHouseParty Mr. Blobbys]].
* MistakenNationality: In Episode 37, Nurse thinks Crafty is Canadian instead of British, causing Crafty to angrily call Canadians "discount-Britians." [[TorchesAndPitchforks The Canadians didn't take that joke very well]].
* ModelSheet: Crafty created model sheets of himself, Nurse, Pepper, Messi, and Crystelle, with the former four being drawn in Episode 52.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: The show is a time-lapse of artwork, hosted by a flamboyant MadScientist and various [[CuteMonsterGirl Cute Monster Girls]].
* MythologyGag: A stained glass window in the laboratory depicts [[VideoGame/FionaFrighteningAndTheWickedWardrobe Fiona Frightening]], another character created by Alexander Tansley. Notably, the updated laboratory removes this reference, as between seasons 2 and 3, ''VideoGame/FionaFrighteningAndTheWickedWardrobe'' had been canceled.
** SpecialGuest: Several of the characters from Fiona Frightening also make appearances as subjects for the videos. They even include their own voice actors for each character shown.
* NarratingTheObvious: Episode 61 featured plenty of that from the Narrator, Dragon Ball Z style. Crafty and Nurse were not amused.
* NegativeContinuity:
** Crafty flat-out admits that the Patreon-sponsored episodes are non-canon.
** Commissions involving the show's characters are also non-canon, as explained in Episode 28. Crafty regards the depicted Crafty Crewmates as "stunt doubles," who fill in for the actual characters so as not to affect the show's overall plot. "This is Crack(ship)" implies there is an agreement made between the interacting characters setting down those terms. Before Nurse's intervention, the visiting Gecko almost breaches this agreement when he tries giving the real Pepper [[MarshmallowHell a pervy hug]].
* NoFourthWall: Given the nature of the show, they'll frequently address the production problems they have on occasion, like missing voice actors and schedule slips.
* NoodlePeople: The doctor himself.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Main Series Tropes R - Z]]
* RageAgainstTheAuthor: More like 'Rage Against the Editor' as {{Special Guest}} ''[[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLqW6rREjZuXanjwPW4pmGA Kitsune Hawk]]'' of Episode 17 gets angry with the editor of the video for bringing up the wrong images during his dialog.
* RageAgainstTheHeavens: Dr. Crafty has it out for Mother Nature, [[ScheduleSlip forcing him to delay many of his episodes (specifically, episodes 17-26) thanks to Hurricane Irma.]]
-->'''Crafty''': Curse you, Mother Nature! I hope you get meteorological menopause!
* RebuiltSet: The third season introduced a new laboratory for the background, which is much brighter and bigger and includes a stained-glass window of all four hosts. Although at the end of "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped," it's revealed the lab was created [[ChromaKey using a green screen and special effects]]. However, later episodes imply this projection quickly became a reality. Exterior shots of the castle, such as the ones in "[=LoveCrafty=]" and "GEMS! Truly Outrageous," show that the stained-glass window is now fully integrated into the castle's facade. And in "Magic Kingdom Mania," [[spoiler: when Screw sends Crafty flying through the window, it shatters apart, cementing its authenticity.]]
* ReducedToDust: The fate of [[spoiler: Alucard]] in Episode 45. [[LateArrivalSpoiler He even mentions]] [[spoiler: "[[Film/AvengersInfinityWar Infinity War]]"]] shortly before he dies.
* RobotMaid: One is featured in one of Episode 28's commissions, which led Messibelle to believe her job was being replaced.
* RuleOfThree: In Episode 13, Dr. Crafty shouts [[LargeHam "ROLL FOR DRAGON!"]] while rolling a d20 die that summons a dragon (shown as [[WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty Maleficent]]) to do away with anything that gets to him. It works the first two times. Not so much the third...
** In Episode 20, Crafty gets attacked by three different [[MemeticMutation "Thicc" meme images]] while on the topic of [[BigBeautifulWoman Nurse or the Gijinka Ninetails]].
** In Episode 24, the three Sanderson sisters are paired up with the Hitchhiking Ghosts trio of the Haunted Mansion.
** In the first Patreon episode, Crafty uses his d20 die to summon three different Dragon-type Franchise/{{Pokemon}}, first summoning a Mega-Charizard X for a LamePunReaction against Merry, then summoning a Garchomp to chase away Disgustilda, and finally summoning a Hydreigon for a LamePunReaction [[SelfDeprecation against himself]].
** In Episode 28, Nurse tries to revive Crafty after he fainted. The first two tries didn't work, but he gets up on the third try when Nurse tells him [[OnlyInItForTheMoney someone pledged a large amount of money to his Patreon]].
** In Episode 61, Crafty feared the Dragon Ball narrator would appear if someone mentioned the series three times. While Nurse thought Crafty was being silly, the narrator indeed shows up, true to Crafty's words.
* RuleSixtyThree: The duo discusses the trope in Episode 62, where someone commissioned a character from one of Crafty's old projects, Kurt Malone, and turned him into a BigBeautifulWoman. They elaborate on the concept by citing other instances of its use across other media, particularly the trend brought on by the infamous [[Memes/SuperMarioBros Super Crown]].
* RunningGag: Several have been established throughout the series, but here are some highlights.
** Crafty summoning a dragon with a [=d20=] die, shouting "Roll for dragon!"
** Everyone pointing Crafty doesn't have a legitimate doctorate.
** Fan-art characters dropping in when least expected, and the fact that they're stuck in storage after every episode.
** Pepper being connected to different kinds of ocean life, whether it be real-life species like puffer-fish or video game races like [[VideoGame/{{Splatoon}} Octarians]] or [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda Zorans]].
** Jedah Dohma as an AmoralAttorney.
** Mr. Blobby is depicted as an EldritchAbomination.
* SharedUniverse: Thanks to Linkara's cameo in the second Patreon video, Dr. Crafty is now officially part of the Reviewaverse. This gets followed up in both of their respective series, with Dr. Crafty making a cameo during Linkara's review of Manga/FrankenFran chapters 1 & 4, and Linkara and Pollo both appearing when [[spoiler:Dr. Crafty ''steals Neutro'' from them with [[Manga/MyHeroAcademia Iida's]] help.]]
* StuntDouble: In an InUniverse example, Crafty explained in Episode 28 that the depiction of the show's characters in commissions are body doubles that just happen to share their likeness and name, referred to as "non-canon clones".
* TalkingWithSigns: In the Fakémon episodes, SpecialGuest [[https://darksilvania.deviantart.com/ Darksilvania]] only speaks through Pokémon-style text boxes.
* TemptingFate: Crafty is certain nothing bad will happen after showing an [[NotSafeForWork NSFW]] pin-up of Nurse, only for his channel to be immediately shut down by [=YouTube=] afterward.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: At the end of Episode 27, Crafty and Nurse end up buried under a ton of mail. Both of them solemnly recognize what they all are: commission requests.
* ToBeContinuedRightNow: Episode 45 has the fight stop on a ''[=JoJo=]''-style "To be continued" screen just as the art finishes, and it picks up again immediately before the episode ends.
* TrueBeautyIsOnTheInside: When the Fakémon starters evolved, Nurse was in tears since her Water-type wasn't cute anymore, but in the end, she decided to accept it for what it was.
* UngratefulBastard: The girls of Monster High are all fans of Crafty and his show, mobbing him like fangirls. He in turn has the school shut down and the students thrown in jail.
* ValentinesDayEpisode: The theme for Episodes 55-58. There's also a sub-plot connecting the episodes concerning Crafty's past with Sasha, and how the breakup affected him.
* WorldOfBuxom: Pretty much every main female character sports an exceptionally impressive bust, ESPECIALLY Nurse Worse, Pepper, and Screw. Even guest female characters tend to follow this trope.
* WorldOfWeirdness: Yes.
* YouDidntSeeThat: We see a brief clip of Dr. Crafty's current job as he works on his Patreon: as a Gamestop employee. Dr. Crafty doesn't want us to remember that.
* YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe: In Episode 44, this was Nurse's reaction to D.Va's backstory, specifically the fact that the Korean government enlisted professional video game players to pilot their mechs.

[[folder:Storyline Tropes '''(Contains Unmarked Spoilers)''']]
* ActorAllusion: In Episode 66, [[spoiler: as Bill Cipher starts dying from being stabbed by the Infinium Sword, he briefly transforms into other roles his voice actor Creator/TheAutarch played, including Hades, Sans, and the Boogieman.]]
* ActuallyADoombot: [[spoiler: The Mindstein that Crafty, Nurse, Todoroki, and Deku defeated was an advanced Doc-Drone, which projected a hologram of the real Mindstein back in her lair as she taunted the heroes. Todoroki considered tracing a signal, but the robot self-destructed before it could happen.]]
* AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs: In Episode 70, [[spoiler: Dr. Mindstein and Screw finally make their move: knocking out Nurse, punching Crafty into the atmosphere, and using an army of robots to imprison the other co-hosts. In the end, the castle is under Mindstein's complete control. Furthermore, Crafty getting knocked out of the castle destroyed the stain-glass window of all the hosts (sans Crystelle), which, as seen in the following episode, was replaced with one themed after Mindstein.]]
* AndIMustScream: In ''The Foreshadow Game'', all four hosts' souls were trapped in the Shadow Realm, with nothing for them to do but draw to pass the time as they wait for rescue. Fortunately, they manage to escape with the combined might of Crafty and Sasha.
* ArtImitatesLife: Since Yu-Gi-Oh monsters become real in the Shadow Realm, Crafty got the idea to draw up a brand new monster to win the duel in Episode 50. The result was a fusion between the Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, and El Shaddoll Construct called "El Shaddoll Sephiragicia".
* CurbStompBattle: At the end of ''The Foreshadow Game'', [[spoiler: Crafty used the cards his friends gave him, as well as a new fusion monster he created himself, to counterattack all of Ring Nurse's cards and swiftly best him in the duel.]]
** And another one as part of ''I Need a Hero Academia'', [[spoiler: as Screw decimates all of Class 1A single-handedly, not unlike how Mirio did it.]]
* DeepSleep: Crafty ended up in one after ''The Foreshadow Game''. He manages to wake up after four months, but not before having a conversation with Sasha while he was still unconscious.
* DieOrFly: In ''I Need a Hero Academia, ''[[spoiler: both Nurse and Crafty had this happen with the full power of their Infinium Hearts. First, Nurse powered up when she was worried Mindstein would dismember Crafty to retrieve his Heart, breaking out of her restraints in the process. And then Crafty followed suit after Nurse used up all her power and was a sitting duck for Mindstein to attack.]]
* FakeOutFadeOut: Episode 66 ends with the same-old shenanigans... [[spoiler: until Bill Cipher appears in the credits to make his presence known to Crafty and Nurse.]]
* FanDisservice: Under normal circumstances, Nurse Worse being in various states of undress would be treated as sexy and attractive, providing the audience with some big, fat fanservice. ''I Need a Hero Academia'', on the other hand? [[{{Understatement}} That is most assuredly not the case]]... [[spoiler: To elaborate, our first shot of Nurse in the ending story segment has her in nothing but her underwear... while being restrained against her will, being physically and mentally abused by her evil mother, and left crying in despair begging for Crafty to save her.]] So yeah, this is ''definitely not'' PlayedForLaughs like the show has done before.
** And that's not getting into the flashback from Episode 72, where we see Nurse naked... [[spoiler: after falling into an open grave, covered in blood, crying for help, and ''[[BodyHorror completely dismembered!]]'']]
* FlashbackEcho: This happens in Episode 35, where Nurse talking about the Sunken Scrolls triggers a flashback from Crafty, where we see him as a child in the hospital after nearly drowning, before being visited by Sasha.
* PowersAsPrograms: One for All, of course. However, in this case [[spoiler: Deku temporarily gave Crafty a lock of his hair so he can have access to his powers until Mindstein was defeated. After everything was resolved, Crafty subsequently gave Deku strands of his hair so he can get his powers back.]]
This makes them both prime targets for Mindstein's plans, plus she still has two of the Relics necessary to open the Infinium Door.]]
* ScreamDiscretionShot: [[spoiler: The Chara-Cafe and Top Ten Tub first season finales had this from Pepper and Messibelle after they are confronted by Ring Nurse.]]
* ShoutOut: Screw and Nurse Worse's real names, [[spoiler: Hazel and Greta]], are evocative of the titular [[spoiler: ''Literature/HanselAndGretel'']]. The reference extends to their childhood living situation, with their mother being an utter [[WitchWithACapitalB witch]] of a woman. Both are also pretty heavyset, almost as though [[FatteningTheVictim they've been kept well-fed.]]
But the episode that ''really'' takes the cake is the second season finale, which formally introduced us to the BigBad of the series, Dr.
** Episode 70, being the set-up of another four-part season finale, is naturally another one of these, with [[spoiler: Mindstein showing up at Crafty's castle, paralyzing Nurse Worse in fear before Screw knocks her out and sends Crafty flying.
* WholePlotReference:
** "The Foreshadow Game" is based on ''Anime/YuGiOh''.
** "I Need A Hero Academia" is based on ''Anime/MyHeroAcademia'' and has a pivotal scene that's heavily based on [[spoiler:the "Holding Out For A Hero" scene from ''WesternAnimation/Shrek2''.]]
* WhyWontYouDie: Crafty's been asked that multiple times by Mindstein and Screw in ''I Need a Hero Academia'', as their multiple attempts to kill him failed to take his life.
* XanatosGambit: Dr. Mindstein manages to pull off a big one in Episode 66. [[spoiler: Either Bill Cipher delivered the information about the Infinium Door, or he fails and gets killed in the process. The latter ended up happening, but for Mindstein it was a ShootTheMessenger moment; Crafty found out about Mindstein, and she considered that a victory.]]
** And then she pulled an even ''bigger'' one at the end of ''I Need a Hero Academia''. [[spoiler: Since she wasn't directly involved in the fighting outside of sending a robot duplicate of herself, she was able to observe everything that both Crafty and Nurse could do with their Infinium Hearts. Even though she failed to turn Nurse into her slave, now she has multiple options to complete her plans with opening the Infinium Door.]]
* WhamLine: The Spin-Off Special's ''Questionable Qloset'' segment ends with a peculiar question: whether Disgustilda will ever become a legitimate threat to Crafty. As Crystelle gazes into the future for an answer... [[spoiler: [[OhCrap she begins wordlessly screaming in terror before fainting]]]].

[[folder:Chara-Cafe]]
[[quoteright:275:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crafty_concoction__characafe_poster_by_drcrafty_dd0gmd2_fullview.jpg]]

* AccidentalMisnaming: Crafty and Pepper accidentally call their first Chara-Cafe creation Jupiter, when the rings on the character's design were supposed to evoke the planet Saturn.
* TheArtifact: The 'Chara-Cafe' is clearly a kitchen, which made a little more sense when the show was to be called ''Crafty's OC Cook-Off.''
* CrossOver: All three of the then-current Dr. Crafty spin-off shows crossed over with each other in August 2019, as all three hosts were put into the dungeon by Mindstein. Episode 12 of Chara-Cafe was the beginning of this, cooking up a ''Anime/MyHeroAcademia'' OC with a [[PortalPool water-centric teleportation]] quirk.

[[folder:Top Ten Tub]]
[[quoteright:275:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crafty_concoction__top_10_tub_poster_by_drcrafty_dd0gmfm_fullview.jpg]]

* AscendedFanon: The Fan Characters introduced in Episode 7 make appearances now and then.
* CharacterFilibuster: This usually happens for the #1 entry, like in Episode 2 with Crafty gushing over Buzzwole having the best Pokémon design.
* CrossOver: All three of the then-current Dr. Crafty spin-off shows crossed over with each other in August 2019, as all three hosts were put into the dungeon by Mindstein. Episode 12 of Top Ten Tub was the middle of this event, counting the Top Ten Superheroes.
* DemotedToExtra: Despite Crafty hiring all ten of the Top Ten Fan Characters, their appearances since are few and far between, much less voiced ones.
* ExpositoryThemeTune: Parodied in Episode 4, where Crafty and Messibelle use the ''Brady Bunch'' theme to explain the backstory of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates''.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Episode 7 had some with one of the employees, Rob Otto, already working for Crafty. We then see him constructing a giant robot, saying "don't worry; your [[Franchise/PowerRangers morphin' time]] will soon come..."
* TakeThat:

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Questionable Qloset]]
* ArtifactTitle: Unlike the other spin-off shows, Crafty doesn't host this one, meaning the title ''Crafty's'' Questionable Qloset is somewhat misleading.
* BecauseDestinySaysSo: Discussed in Episode 1 after Crystelle is asked why she can't warn the others of future dangers. While she can see multiple paths into the future, it's unclear which events will take place, so it's much harder to find out what to tell Crafty. And while she can see some events happening as clear as day, she's not allowed to interfere as it would disrupt the timeline of events.
* CardsOfPower: To select which questions Crystelle will answer, she uses Crafty-themed tarot cards.
* XtremeKoolLetterz: The "Closet" in the title is spelled with a Q to match the alliteration.
