** You are not your weapons, your powers, or your accomplishments. You are only what's beneath all of them.
** [[RealitySubtext Do the research before setting out on your adventure in Gensokyo, or everyone else is going to kill you for playing God in a peaceful fantasy world]].

* GoodTimesMontage: 2 happens around the course of the series:
** The first one happens after Brolli manages to get his powers and have fun all around Gensokyo, from flying to Heaven and beat some celestials at shogi, to going to the Old Capital and beat some Oni at drinking sake, and going to the Human Village to enjoy a concert of the Prismriver Sisters.
** The second one happens after he goes on a date with Reisen, from experiencing a concert and dinning with the Prismriver Sisters, to opening a bar in the Old Capital, and having a stroll through the Moriya Lake. It's as shallow as how Brolli is.

Obvious Beta is YMMV. Cleanup: (re)moving wick from trope/work example lists

* ObviousBeta: The full streams of the incomplete [=DitR=], which have some interesting results.
** The most glaring examples are when Spaztique has to voice over the stream to explain what should be going on in the scene.
** In the early versions of the full screenings, Brolli [[spoiler:did not redeem himself]] ''until'' the incident, making him unlikable until the very last minute, so audiences spend the first hours rooting against him and the last thirty minutes rooting for him. The full version [[spoiler:gives him his moment of redemption just prior to the midpoint]]. Since the "center of good" focused more on the Touhou cast than Brolli, most of the audience felt sorrier for them than Brolli only seeing the beginning and the climax alone. When Reel 1 was finished, people were divided between Brolli, the Touhou cast, or just saying both either deserved it or didn't. With Reel 1 finished and enough of Reel 2 done to balance the center of good on both Brolli ''and'' Gensokyo, the events reach full tragic limitations: the audience is sorry for ''both'' the Touhou cast ''and'' Brolli.
** The early versions of Brolli's tragedy puts all of the fault on Brolli for taking rash decisions, but later versions tell us [[spoiler:Yukari gapped in Brolli because he'd make bad decisions under pressure]].
** During the climatic battle, [[spoiler:Brolli's decision to take the Kappa Valley's metal comes from the incident itself]], but in the final version, [[spoiler:they've simply lost it over the course of the three months Brolli has been in Gensokyo]].
** In the early version, based on the script for the original ''Diamond In The Rough'' series, Brolli doesn't find out it's Tenshi ''until'' the incident. In the final version, Brolli meets him much sooner.
