* BittersweetEnding: By the end of "What if the Hindenburg Disaster Never Happened?", even after Cody [[MovingTheGoalposts shifted the scope of the hypothetical]] and considered a timeline where the concept of the airship took off a century earlier, the end result would [[ForegoneConclusion still be the same]]: Airships being phased out in lieu of airplanes. ''But'', Cody points out that with that century-long difference of time, the Hindenburg ''wouldn't'' have exploded, as by then, it would have been designed to counteract the buildup of static electricity that doomed it originally. So, it gets to go out peacefully, rather in a fiery disaster.

** ''[[https://youtu.be/2AI-jl3ewTQ?si=Gi3PwqCgxio50gTl What if the Hindenburg Disaster Never Happened?]]'': Subverted with the titular PointOfDivergence, as despite the Hindenburg surviving, airships were AwesomeButImpractical as transportation compared to cruise ships (which can carry more passengers and heavier luxuries) and airplanes (which are faster and eventually got to the point of having accommodations), so they would have gone out of style in a few years.
*** However, this is played straight when the change is in the 18th century by Louis XVI taking an interest in pre-existing hot air and hydrogen balloons for military purpose, which spread to the nobles and eventually the revolutionaries who use them for bombs. This would inspire the Americans to do the same in the War of 1812 and the Civil War, with a propoganda war balloon used against the south. While not effective, the reputation of military balloons will be exaggerated enough that an arms race of balloons will spread across the industrial world, not just developing more advance airships but also the early development of anti-air technology such as radar and tracer rounds. While this leads to the end of airship use in military after World War I, this means that the golden age of airships for civilians last decades longer until they are inevitably replaced by airplanes. Additionally, the Hindenburg Disaster is either prevented or reduced thanks to greater research in air technology.

** ''What if the Hindenburg Disaster Never Happened?'' By the 1930s, airships were already on their way out due to the airplane. Even in a timeline where airships were in substantial use in the 1800s, the lack of enabling technologies, slow speed, low payload, and earlier development of anti-aircraft guns sees their decline apparent by World War I, where they came into vogue in our timeline. The most relevant difference is that the ''Hindenburg'' would not have ignited due to the technology being more mature.

However, due to their inherent limitations and earlier development of anti-aircraft weapons, they would become obsolescent by World War I, coming to an end even before the "golden age" of airships OTL. Due to the many decades of addressing engineering issues, a Hindenburg-style disaster would have been averted as a skin that resists static buildup would have already been invented.

Things would definitely be taller and could fly with less effort, but that's as much as Cody gets into it.

Even if the Japanese had a Naval Victory off of Midway, their amphibious-landing forces would have been destroyed by the American presence on the island, resulting in an overall American Victory. In the end, Japan's defeat in their War against the US was inevitable.
