Legato of ''Stampede'''s power is outright stated to work differently from how the manga did it. Controlling people and things with hand movements could imply his arm has been replaced with a [[GravityMaster gravity Plant's]], but with past Legato's hatred of humans and adoration for Knives he may not have stopped at one arm. Exchanging limbs and organs for those harvested from Plants' to the point of being stitched up like FrankensteinsMonster further makes him a {{foil}} to Vash, whose place in Knives' heart Legato wants to take.

[[WMG:Zazie will get a new look.]]
The passing of Creator/{{Tarako}} means Zazie needs a new VA, which is the perfect opportunity give them a fresh body like their many hosts from the manga.

[[WMG:Milly will pull a YoungerThanTheyLook.]]
She will be around 18-19 years old, shocking for a girl so big and bulky. She's pretty much the opposite of Roberto so it will be especially ironic if Milly is too young to drink yet.

Not counting the aftereffects that were merged with [[spoiler:the July incident]], of course. Legato's telekinetic powers at their strongest would level the city of Augusta, and an emotionally drained Vash would not be able to hold back his Angel Arm this time.

To contrast with the ones for Zazie's pretend parents he fumbled, and show he's come to give a damn about other people's lives. It won't be eloquent or recited from the bible, but it will be sincere.

[[WMG:Wolfwood will take Vash's coat for himself post-timeskip.]]
To justify Vash getting a new one that looks more like his manga coats. As well as a TragicKeepsake, the new black-purple color fits Wolfwood's aesthetics.

[[WMG:The dub will give Leonof a Russian accent.]]
In the manga and first anime, Leonof has an odd way of speaking that involves AccentUponTheWrongSyllable, and his name is a form of the Russian surname "Leonov". This is especially possible if the above theory that Leonof is from the generation of Earth immigrants is true.

[[WMG:Hoppered's backstory will be given to Gray.]]
Related to the above theory that Chuck Lee will be Hoppered; The basis of Hoppered's manga origin as a freak ostracized by society save for his LivingEmotionalCrutch is easy to transfer to Gray. Just that he is a little person rather than horribly deformed.

Hence why Knives resorts to emotional abuse, convincing Vash that he's weaker. Knives doesn't have the raw strength to overcome his will any other way. On top of that, despite what Conrad and Knives believe, [[spoiler:Vash is closer to being the "perfect" Plant both in abilities and psychology, which is why ''he's'' capable of healing the dependent Plants and instinctively knew their song. His powers developed after Nai's did because they're so much greater than Nai's. If Knives attempts to meld with Vash in future, it will be motivated by yearning for that connection, and failure will drive him to even more drastic measures]].

Hoppered is motivated to kill Vash as a survivor of the July incident. Why introduce a new face when there's already a July-based antagonist? The loss of the city would weigh heavily on a military police captain charged with protecting it, and it's foreseeable that one portrayed as unhinged to begin with who failed to catch Vash twice would go to extreme lengths like body augmentations for revenge. Alternatively, Hoppered will be the faceless officer who shot Vash.

In the entire franchise, the twins are the only known male Plants, Independent or otherwise. A Plant researcher, possibly one with the Earth Federation, will explain why male Plants are virtually unheard of and what their specific function is.

This would replace Legato's execution and the aftermath. When Knives outdoes himself in disregard for life, Vash will snap and try to kill his brother. He backs off just as quickly, of course, but this leaves the twins horribly shaken. Vash is disgusted with himself not only for how close he came to betraying Rem's values, but for ''wanting'' to kill someone.

''Stampede'' is doing well at expanding on the backstories of characters who originally had none. It is easier to tell only one person's story than it is to tell a whole group's.

It was Dr. Conrad; he recognises Nai from before the Fall and seems glad he survived. Just like in the manga, Conrad must have woken up before he was supposed to and met the twins as children. He learned Vash seemed to have no powers as a Plant. And while he regrets his previous actions terribly... there's so much still to learn, and what better purpose could a powerless Independent serve than one that still aids humanity?

The miracle serum used by Conrad's creations is implied to be made from Plant cells, if not from Knives himself. Thanks to Wolfwood's rare aptitude for it, continued use of the serum will eventually mutate his body and give him some Plant-like abilities. This could lead to his death when he uses a DangerousForbiddenTechnique.
