After Spider-Man cottoned on to their attempt to mind control him into killing Kraven, they once again used their powers to make him hallucinate the DownerEnding of their series, leaving him out of commission long enough for the Gaines Twins to escape New York and figure out another way to kill Kraven. Unfortunately, Peter throwing the Spider-Man costume into the ocean was real, so he has to sew another costume.
