At the Spring Fair, she told fortunes for fairgoers by scrying into a pool of still water, which would have been prompted by specific questions like "Will I be rich?" or "Will I find love?" She found a lost horse and a lost child by staring into a pool of ink and a mirror, respectively. Presumably, at one point she wanted to see the face of her future husband, and saw the king who she would eventually marry. But, despite looking into the future many times, she was never able to see Snow White, or the horrible things she would end up doing, or the fate the girl would eventually inflict upon her--because she never anticipated that her husband would have a daughter who turned out to be a bloodthirsty vampire.

The text describes her as a ChocolateBaby. She has black hair and black eyes; her mother has brown hair and brown eyes while her "father" has red-gold hair and blue eyes. She is not actually the king's daughter; her mother was seduced and impregnated by a handsome vampire. She is actually only half-vampire, which is why she is not truly undead and can physically grow older.

There were a few pieces of dialogue that hinted this would be the case when the Queen thought about how a lot of people were speculating that she wanted to eat Snow's heart and that she got fooled by the heart of a wild animal instead, which wasn't the truth at all. After Snow became the monarch, that was when the Queen became the WickedStepmother of lore while she and her prince would be painted in the rosiest picture possible and the seven dwarves were only convenient set pieces for their story. While none of this was true in the least, only victors get to write history and Snow would allow no other official narratives than the idyllic fairy tale of herself.
