[[WMG: The Pirates are the Mongol Hordes of space]]

DummiedOut scan data from ''Prime 3'' mentions Pirate society is made up of clans who constantly jockey for power and influence in their civilizational hierarchy, best evidenced by possession of ''Marauder''-class battleships that afford status. It can be inferred that Space Pirates, as a nomadic people group, have had frequent [[EnemyCivilWar interclan conflicts with each other]] as they travel the stars and fight over what little resources they can scrounge from the planets they settle on: both ''Prime 1'' and ''Prime 3'' show they have little care for [[GreenAesop environmental management]] considering how callously they treat the Chozo Ruins on Tallon IV and how polluted their own "Homeworld" in the third game is. This also helps clarify a seemingly contradictory plot point: both the manga and ''Other M'' mention Pirates need a leader to make them a threat. This makes them seem like BeePeople who can't do a thing on their own[[note]]The fourth ''Super Smash Bros'' game explains in its Zebesian Trophy text that this is indeed the case for the cloned Zebesians in ''Other M'', as the Federation Army faction behind the Bottle Ship specifically genetically engineered them to be docile without a leader[[/note]], which is outright contradicted by individual Pirates in the manga and the presence of High Command in the ''Prime'' games. But this makes more sense if this is interpreted as that they need a leader to ''unify'' their warring clans together and redirect their destructive impulses towards external targets instead of being at each other's throats all the time (which also ties into their obsession with power at any cost: if your existence is constantly being threatened by a clan next door who will kill all your mates and steal all your possessions in the blink of an eye, that would easily produce a society focused on oneupmanship and striking first). Add the fact that the leaders they rally around are from foreign species such as Mother Brain and Ridley may be very necessary, as their status as outsiders means interclan politics are not an influence on them.

In short, the Space Pirate threat to the Federation is basically what Europe and Asia in the real world faced from Genghis Khan and his descendants' hordes for centuries throughout the Middle Ages: a clan-based nomadic people who managed to unify around a small number of powerful leaders and then redirected their warring impulses from killing each other... to slaughtering everyone else out there.

* It's more likely that the Pirates either acquired their information by decrypting logfiles stolen from raided Galactic Fed vessels, or from a corrupt inside man in the GF ranks.

ranks (''Prime 3'' confirms they have spies embedded in the Federation, and the manga also mentioned there are Space Pirate sympathizers within the Federation populace).

[[Samus's suit is a Chozo bioweapon, similar to the Metroids]]

Even before the events of Fusion, Samus could kill other creatures and absorb their energy for HP. Her suit has organic components, which were the only parts remaining after the X attacked her. And her suit can change and adapt with new upgrades, which Samus absorbs.

And the reason Samus never has her upgrades at the beginning of the game is because her suit "consumes" them in between missions, since Samus is feeding it with health orbs.

Lastly is ''Hunters''. The weapons used by the other Hunters are, quite frankly, ludicrous. The Magmaul uses hydrogen fusion, the Volt Driver could power a city for a year with one shot (or more likely, overload the grid and burn it down), the Judicator fires Absolute Zero temperature beams, the Battlehammer fires miniature nukes, the Shock Coil produces more neutrinos than a ''supernova'', and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking the Imperialist makes its user invisible]]. All of these are run of the mill for the ''40k'' canon.

* Think about it - She's blonde, has blue/green eyes, and moves with no trouble on Zebes, which has over 800 times the gravity of Earth. Even without her suit , she is incredibly agile in that environment. She lost the ability to use ki because of the Chozo DNA, but makes up for it with her suit. Either that, or she simply never learned to use her energy.

* ''Videogame/DragonBallFighterz'' has a suppression device that send shockwave throughout the world disrupting all but the highest gods and angels' ability to use ki. "Fighterz" is implied to share continuity with ''Videogame/DragonBallXenoverse'', where everything is ''much'' more powerful than it was in the Manga/DragonBall manga and animes it is based off of. Which is to say if even the amped up ''Dragon Ball'' Super Saiyains can be surpressed, there's little reason why similar devices can't be suppressing ki usage in the super cluster Metroid takes place in too. And we have a good candidate for the responsible party too. The kihunters! They're a multi galactic force, a small number of them just took interest in Zebes because a super saiyain appeared there and they wanted to make sure everything was in working order, knowing what sort of threat one of those with Chozo armor and an interstellar vehicle would be. But Samus lacks the naturally spiky hair and tail of a saiyan, the spiky hair in particular tends to come out even in hybrids when they go super. It's more likely she is [[Anime/DragonBallSuper a human who picked up some saiyan cells in the womb during a god ritual]]. Samus likely has a half sibling from one of her mother's previous relationships who is the "true" Super Saiyan, who inadverdently donated some cells, and is the kihunters' [[HeroOfAnotherStory true target]]. Directly observing Samus likely disturbed them, as it suggests there may be as many as six extant super saiyans, one of whom may have access to god ki, but beyond that she's someone else's problem, explainng why they do not swarm into the galaxy in mass.

* The reasoning behind this has been debunked. Samus Aran is a corruption of a Portuguese name ''Edson Arantes'' do Nascimento, aka famous Brazilian footballer Pelé. However, it possible this ''corruption'' is the result of Irish parents butchering a male Portuguese name into "female" WorldSalad given in our world it's the result of Japanese doing so. * Evidently the public was still intersted in playing further adaptations of the memoir, but at a loss of how to continue on the studio attempts to appease fans by having them play through the missions of an [[Videogame/MetroidPrimeFederationForce experimental special forces unit]] that just so happened to cross paths with Aran at several points in the Bermuda System. The Project Golem Marines are not held in nearly as high regard among the public however, being remembered fairly or not as a clumbsy attempt to replace Aran. Putting Aran's biogame on the side in favor of focusing on them naturally makes these feelings even stronger, moreover, the director's approach to the Bermuda System conflict is chastised for being far too lighthearted and comedic for the subject matter.
* Still weary of the nerdy footnotes, but looking back on their last critical and financial success, the studio seeks new directors to contiue from the "[[Videogame/MetroidPrimeTriology phazon crisis]] sections of the memoir while hiring yet another an off world team [[Creator/MercurySteam specializing in unothordox combat]] to cover Aran's [[Videogame/MetroidDread hunt on ZDR]]. The ZDR episode encourages the studio, bringing the most positive reception for the biogames since the second team's work and renewing hope the series can be finished.

This explains why the "Little Birdie" encountered in Other M doesn't just attack Samus on sight, it knows that it'd get shot to bits as the source of his information was mature and still lost. When he reaches his second stage of the life-cycle he sees an excellent chance at disposing of Samus by pittinging monsters on her much weaker allies and forcing her to come out followed by pinning her to the ground and try to stab her with his tail. Then when Anthony fires off his Plasma Gun he gets registered as the new biggest threat to Ridley's existence because he had Samus more or less at his mercy. This is why he doesn't just kill Samus immediatly when he's encountered in his adult form. So why did he attack samus first then? Well he doesn't know that the GF-trooper with her is Anthony yet and he hasn't really done anything threatening yet. But when he shoots Ridley again he realizes that the yelling GF-trooper isn't yelling because he's afraid of him, but instead yelling because he wants to fight and kill Ridley and therefore it must be his largest threat that's back. So once Ridley is back on his feet he immediatly goes for Anthony who's a bigger threat than Samus now. When Anthony is defeated and probably not coming back he sets his focus on Samus yet again and soon realizes that Anthony couldn't hold a candle to her when she fights Ridley in more even circumstances so he flees. He does this in order to preserve his own existence and maybe get to try and rid himself of his biggest threat once more or just escape from it altogether. Then he meets [[spoiler:the Metroid Queen that drains all of his energy]] and automatically gets imprinted in the black box as the biggest threat because it actually killed him. Then when he gets infected by the X-parasites in Fusion the X get to know that the biggest threat that this life-form has encountered is [[spoiler:a Metroid Queen]] and that the person with a red helmet and greenish arm cannon is really dangerous as well. This gets taken even further in this game as Samus has Metroid DNA in her now and that DNA happens to be the DNA of [[spoiler:a future Queen]] so a she's basically two threats in one and gets highest priority on Ridley X's kill list.

They seem too proud of their military might, they would've just given Sylux a Power Suit of their own.
