Granted, this is more of a game/challenge than a genuine theory, but it’s fun to speculate about how a corrupted wish could have led to the characters’ fate. For example:
* Carl in Sardines wished his father would get some comeuppance for what he did to him and the other boys
* Tom in Tom and Gerri wished he could stop teaching and have more freedom
* Frankie in Last Gasp wished he never had to attend a kid’s party again
* Andy in Cold Comfort wished that Chloe hadn’t died/could come back
* Penny in The Devil of Christmas wished she could deliver an authentic and memorable performance
* Zach in A Random Act of Kindness wished that his mother would leave him alone and stop bothering him
