The sound and lyrics are more fitting for Chaos himself than Nagoriyuki, and given that Nagoriyuki serves Chaos in the story mode, the boss battle may be implied to be against Chaos by proxy. Whenever Happy Chaos is made an official playable character, he will use Crawl as his battle theme and it will be selectable like the rest of the songs are.

* Where do you people get the idea that Millia and Zato were ever in anything even resembling a romantic relationship? We know that Zato trusted Millia enough on a professional level that her betrayal led to his capture (which sparked his hatred for her). In Millia's Ending III in ''GGXX'', she claims that he saved her, raised her, "dirtied her soul" (which This Troper interprets as "probably killed her parents and definitely forced her to kill people", '''not''' "raped her or forced her to undergo a defloration ritual to gain hair-based powers she didn't even want") and loved her (in his own twisted way - his [[ItsAllAboutMe gargantuan ego]] probably led him to believe that the feeling was mutual). Due to StockholmSyndrome, Millia probably did feel a strong attachment to Zato - Venom suggests that he (Venom) and Millia are NotSoDifferent, in that they both pursue Zato even after his demise - but this hardly implies romantic or even platonic love. Finally, my guess is that [[SugarAndIcePersonality Millia]] obsesses over (physical) chastity (or purity in general) as a means of [[BrokenBird compensating for the corruption of her soul/morals]] she has suffered.

* Since trailers/gameplay reveal that Ky is actually Half-Gear, the identity of his father is Asuka R. Kreuz, who he bears some striking similarity to.

* The Backyard: Faust has had a mysterious connection to spacial magic that was never truly explained beyond "his medical knowledge", but where did he learn this knowledge? Slayer, and others, in the previous games hinted that Faust wasn't entirely human himself. Slayer even offered Faust a new home in whatever realm his people disappeared to, a realm that would destroy a normal person, and we know that The Backyard itself has the same properties as Slayer's realm. Faust was also shown in Xrd in the search for the Japanese Affliction symptoms that he has access to ancient and obscure tomes of knowledge, knowledge that others do not seem to have. Faust's knowledge gathering abilities and spacial magic capabilities allowed him to access The Backyard.

* Turning himself into and reversing being a Gear: The end of the Xrd storyline involving the afflicted affecting the Japanese was never resolved. All we were left with was that the Japanese were still afflicted with Gear Cells and could still turn into a Gear under the right circumstance/outside interference. Faust would not let the Japanese suffer such a condition and would try and find the proper cure or procedure. He has the medical knowledge of Gears through his interactions with Ky & Dizzy, he's developed temporary cures to halt the Gear activation, but what would be the best way to
cure the Japanese? Learning and attempting how to turn someone into a Gear and how to reverse that process.

Yet, there are just as many who can't hate the people who would give their lives and use their powers to save them, such as Dizzy seemingly being accepted after protecting the people of Illyria. Because of this, the world is becoming heavily divided on what to do about these superpowered beings. Asuka being arrested and any further revelations would only further divide them.

* Faust's new theme song, Colors, has three distinct voices, and one of the final lines mentions, "We've got only one smile. Toying with wild paranoia...". If Faust took on Zappa's spirits and/or Eddie, that "we" could be quite literal...

* This one is more aesthetic, but Strive-Faust is constantly framed in darkness. Given Eddie controls darkness, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that Faust’s appearance could be a result of Eddie’s power.

* In one of Faust’s endingS in Guilty Gear X, he cures Zato-1 and takes Eddie. As Zato-1 has not yet been confirmed for Strive, Faust may have cured Zato and taken Eddie between Xrd and Strive.

* Faust has a history trying to cure Zappa of his possessions. In XX and Xrd, he’s shown working with Zappa to cure him of his possessions. Maybe Faust’s solution was to take on the spirits instead?

By moniker, I mean the flavor text in the character select screen, like like May is called "Relentless Girl". He is also most likely a homage to [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasuke Yasuke]], a samurai of African origin. Unlike other dark skinned and AmbiguouslyBrown characters his "Afro-Blackness" seems the more apparent and probably intentional.

Simple as that.

* Faust learned some rather unsettling truths about the Conclave, in particular the real reason he was framed for murder and driven mad (they believed he knew a technique that granted everlasting life and sabotaged him to keep it for themselves). Now that he knows the whole truth, his desire for vengeance is beginning to overtake him, which could potentially push him back to being the murderous Dr. Baldhead.
