** If this is the case, it gives a new meaning to Akaba’s giving his eyeshield to Sena at the end of Bando match. It’s basically him saying “Here, use my eyeshield and carry it all the way to the Christmas Bowl so that when you face the original Eyeshield 21 at Teikoku, you can revenge us.”

I mean, just look at them! Also, their insane speed and agility actually originated from all the crazy stunts they did in their previous life.

Self explanitory, that guy is a monster. The hair only heightens his resemblance to his distant Klingon relatives.

[[WMG: Akaba’s reasons for pretending to be “Eyeshield 21”...]]
* So that he wouldn’t get caught when physically training the rest of Bando Spiders’ kick team during his “no play right after transfer” period.
** Adding to this: Kotaro’s flashback before the mass recruitment and when he told Sena about Ibarada showed that Akaba was wearing sunglasses when playing. But he’s using an eyeshield in a flashback when he explained Spider Poison, which happened after he transferred back to Bando.
* He knows that Yamato, the original “Eyeshield 21”, is in Teikoku Alexanders. Given that Bando’s aces and Teikoku have some history between them, pretending to be “Eyeshield 21” while defeating the original one in Christmas Bowl would teach the former Bando players there a lesson.
* Or, because he’s such a BunnyEarsLawyer, he did it [[JustForFun just for the heck of it]].
* As for the exact time, he probably started to pretend as “Eyeshield 21” sometimes after Sena, given the RuleOfSymbolism regarding his and Yamato’s jersey numbers in Team Japan.

[[WMG: Honjo's jersey number]]
We all know Monta chose his jersey number because of Honjo, but Honjo himself did also take this number because of other player, that player being Jerry Rice.

[[WMG: Shin was adopted and raised by Vulcan parents.]]
It would explain his general attitude. He's extremely logical, hardworking, and methodical. Vulcans have visited Earth quite often and it wouldn't be surprising if a couple stayed and took in a child as one of their own. And I'm sure Shin was already quite logical as a kid.
