In "Elliot Goes Camping", Elliot cites saying "fuck" in the first episode as the only time he's sworn in the series, despite having said "shit" in "Mondays". Similarly, Brandon tells [[VideoGame/{{Postal}} Postal Dude]] to watch his language after saying "fuck" multiple times in "Field Trips", but doesn't say anything when he says "shit" in "Mondays". It's possible that "fuck" is the only word offensive enough to be legally declared a swear word in this universe, which could explain why other swear words are so casually thrown around.
