It would make sense with this because it's a self contained yet still large in scale action horror film with a strong lore to it and a gleefully dark and macabre sense of humor so it probably does exist in a shared universe of other movies and maybe shows as well. In certain areas, a boarding house that was once a church mysteriously exploding in 1995 is brought up or relatively known.
