[[WMG: Manfred Lorenz faked his suicide.]]
Manfred had simply moved house, taking the development tools to work on the game himself, and left his boat in the ocean. This explains why a copy of the game surfaced on [=eBay.=]

[[WMG: 90s Retro Gaming [=FRed=], 3D Platformers [=NZ=], Ultra 64 forever, [=N64=] Long Lost Lore, and [=N64ExcavationMan=] are family members of Manfred Lorenz.]]
During development, Manfred gave some of his family members an unfinished build of Catastrophe Crow. They then uploaded videos of Catastrophe Crow onto their youtube channels.

It's obvious there's a working game out there that's programmed to behave the way it is in the video. And from what I read, a source code was released. So it seems likely that this could just be a fancy way to hype up the release of an actual game, though I imagine it would be far more polished in both animations and gameplay mechanics.
