[[WMG: ''Nyako'' wasn't the one who died... but by the end, she is.]]
At the beginning, Nyatta falls into the bathtub and drowns. His father picks him up before he suffocates completely, but is too drunk to realize that his son needs medical attention. While in a state of limbo, Nyatta sees Nyako taken away by an avatar of death... But what if she was taking her back to the world of the living? Taking half her soul implies that he forced Nyatta into a coma on both sides. [[spoiler: In "restoring" Nyatta's soul, it is possible that he brought her fully into the world of the dead, thereby defying death and ultimately ''restoring himself to life at the cost of his sister'', and bringing the remaining family to death by grief; rather than enter a state of rotting death, they blink out of existence as part of the ritual to bring him back, all without him realizing what has happened or that it is his fault]]. Ultimately, it's possible that Nyatta survived, but at the cost of being alone forever.

[[WMG: The god of CatSoup goes on to create [[Creator/ThisIsIt Don't Hug Me I'm Scared]].]]
There is a sort of cynical, nihilistic and depressing approach to life in both. The "god" of CatSoup was apathetic to what was going on in the world of the short film, there one moment to perform strange magic, eating the same world the next moment. It would be almost fitting if that god became more interested in a new world and began to take a sage-like role in it by being a teacher but the lessons he teaches end up being depressing, nihilistic and cynical.

There is no more animation left and the story is over. The author's imagination no longer sustains the universe, and all the characters wink out of existence.
