Added DiffLines:

[[WMG: The GoldenEnding of Black Ops II is a prequel to Series/{{Firefly}}]]
America and China join forces, and eventually leads to the hybrid Anglo-Sino society and culture of the Alliance in Firefly.

[[WMG: The "Jonathan" assigned to burn Mason and friends in South Africa is Price.]]
The [REDACTED] bit is short enough to fit Price.
* Did we mention he's SAS?
* In b4 flame war over Treyarch/Infinity Ward/Haters of InfinityWard
* From a purely realistic standpoint, that'd put him at least in his sixties in [=CoD4=]. So unlikely; Unless it's that Price's father or something.
** Price ''is'' too old to be in the SAS, realistically. He's in at least his fifties when ''Modern Warfare 2'' rolls around, if his age doesn't tell you anything.
*** Frame of reference please?
*** Easy. It's been 20 years since Pripiyat, yes? Well, Price was too old to be in the SAS in ''Call of Duty 4'' because there's a set limit on years you can serve- something like 10 years. ALREADY he's PAST SAS age. :p
*** No. There's a maximum age for applying for selection (32 years), however officers who complete two tours with the regiment, which Price would have to have done to still be in the SAS at the start of [=CoD=]4 (a tour in the SAS is three years, and Price has been in the regiment for at least ten) can join the regiment permanantly. Further, if we assume he's in his early twenties in 1996, then he's not too old to be in the SAS in [=CoD=]4. His being too old in ''Modern Warfare 2'' is a non-issue since he's not technically in the SAS anymore.
* Didn't I-Dub confirm that WWII Price is [=CoD4=][=/=]''Modern Warfare 2'''s Grandfather? So, maybe the lineage is WWII Price is father to Hypothetical Black Ops Price, who is father to [=CoD4=][=/=]''Modern Warfare 2'' Price. So, the Price's have a tendency to get into the SAS.

[[WMG: Raul Menendez isn't the Big Bad of Black Ops 2]]
* [[spoiler: Raul Menendez is seen giving Frank Woods a coin or other token item and telling him that it has begun. This isn't him threatening or taunting Woods over the fact that he's been seized control of the American Drone Force. This is him reporting his success to his superior. After a life time of putting his life on the line for the United States, doing his duty to his country and watching as his brothers in arms suffer the greatest of sacrifices what was his reward? Being locked away in the 'Vault' for knowing too much, doomed to rot away in a gilded cage as he watches his counties army become weaker as it relies more and more on unmanned drones. So he used one of his few contacts on the outside, Raul Menendez, to orchestrate a series of events to remind his country: They will ALWAYS need MEN LIKE HIM!]]
** All I can say is that what you said has to be one of the single greatest twists in Call of Duty history. With all sincerity I hope this is true.
*** {{Jossed}} [[spoiler: Although it could be argued that [[NiceJobBreakingItHero Woods inadvertently made Menendez the]] BigBad in a CreateYourOwnVillain manner, since his black ops team [[YouKilledMyFather killed Menendez's father]] (even though it's semi-justified with him leading TheCartel), and [[AvengingTheVillain after Menendez killed off the rest of Woods' squad in retaliation]], the [[UnstoppableRage outraged Woods]] [[AccidentalMurder accidentally fragged Menendez's sister]] during his attempted RoaringRampageOfRevenge. Even though Menendez may preach himself as a RebelLeader wanting the Third World to fight against the superpower blocs, his motives stretch back to how ItsPersonal with Woods - and emphasizes it in one ending where he pays Woods a personal visit before gutting him]].]]

[[WMG: Reznov saved [[spoiler:Alex]] after the events of "Suffer With Me".]]
* This would account for what happened to him in the intervening 30 years between that mission and the events of the 2025 ones. Written off as dead by both Menendez and Woods, he lay bleeding in the warehouse after everyone had left, until Reznov (who turned out to really be alive after all) showed up and spirited him away to safety. After that, [[spoiler:Alex]] decided that it would be best for him to go into hiding and try to pursue Menendez on his own, aided and abetted by Reznov himself (for whatever few good years the old man had left in him) and a network of followers the latter had amassed over the years.

[[WMG: [[spoiler:Kristina Weaver ,Grigori Weaver's sister, is David Mason's mother]].]]
* Why? Because [[spoiler:Kristina's role in Operation Charybdis]] (the op to assassinate Alex, Hudson, and Weaver) was to seduce [[spoiler:Alex Mason]]. They moved to Alaska after [[spoiler:David was born]], and a couple years later [[spoiler:Kristina]] died in some random tragic accident.

[[WMG: The first part of Achilles' Veil is Treyarch's TakeThat at Infinity Ward's No Russian.]]
* Farid's undercover operation during Achilles' Veil is very similar to that of Private Allen's in No Russian; both have a CIA operative working as a mole for the BigBad, both must fight "enemy" forces that they have no choice but to fight, and [[spoiler:said BigBad knows about the mole all along, or at the very least is implied to know]]. However, [[spoiler:Farid's death]] in Achilles' Veil is purely optional, and [[spoiler:the decision not to die is the one that leads to the GoldenEnding]]. Harper actively discourages Farid from fighting the Yemeni opposition, and rather than stroll through the level massacring the targets, Farid has the option to sneak by stealthily. [[spoiler:Private Allen's death]] is used as a major plot point, but [[spoiler:Farid's death]] is said by the BigBad to be nothing. It's basically an inversely warped No Russian reference.
** Farid's own name could be a TakeThat at Al-Fulani. Farid means "unique", while Al-Fulani is a placeholder name. Al-Fulani's death sparks the beginning of a war, while [[spoiler: Farid's death is the potential and inadvertent key to ending one]].

[[WMG: Menendez's NighInvulnerability during his playable scene in Time and Fate is a reference to Ramirez.]]
* Menendez! Do everything!

[[WMG: Celerium is a refined version of Element 115.]]
* Because why not?

[[WMG: The burning man at the start of Pyrrhic Victory was [[spoiler: Weaver.]] ]]
* It explains his absence.
** Improbable. [[spoiler: The man clearly has two eyes intact. And he's also wearing a UNITA uniform, which Weaver wouldn't likely be wearing.]]

[[WMG:David, Woods,, Menendez and [[spoiler:Salazar]] were subjected to Numbers programming.]]
* David cannot remember anything of the night Menenedez [[spoiler:took him hostage]], and gets flashbacks and traumatic memories centering on that one night -- just like his old man's flashbacks and traumatic memories of Vorkuta, and why Menendez spares him and commands him to "come back to him".
* Woods' extreme focus is ''very'' similar to Alex's complete and total focus on destroying Steiner, Dragovich, and Kravchenko. Alex even calls Woods out on it, just as Woods did when Alex was going off the rails.
* Menendez's rage moves him to ''superhuman feats of strength'' as his vision burns red and memories of his sister - and his sister calling for him, despite her being too far away to be heard - flash over and over and over. Just like Alex's number programming and how [[spoiler:he hallucinated people that weren't there.]]
* How else does a Navy SEAL go from serving his country to [[spoiler:assisting an ultra-left overlord bent on crippling military power and murdering many, many civilians?]]
