Aw, Nick wouldn't cannibalize his own genetic dup-uh, I mean kid. But, the sudden drain of color, Judy getting cut off mid sentence, the foreshadowing of the security team and violent lunatic fringe (one faction Bellwhether seems part of) all point to an assassin going for Mayor Hopps. If she doesn't catch a bullet, Nick will catch it for her. The comic is only at halftime though, so expect a double twist, or at least a lengthy flashback montage.

Pretty much all the kids in the troop are prey animals. (The raccoon is an opportunistic feeder, but not much for hunting.) Put together Nick's past with scouting, his anger towards Judy and his ThenLetMeBeEvil speech from the film and...something really nasty is about to happen.
