He was only covering up Faux's arrests to save his own reputation - after all, what good would he be as a cop if it came out that he couldn't even keep his own son on the straight and narrow? It'd also be a twisted case of LikeFatherLikeSon, as Vogelaar's attempts to save his pride [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom would only help to create someone]] who was willing to go to much darker lengths in order to get what he wanted.

[[WMG:Solace [[FeelNoPain can't feel pain]] for whatever reason]]
Hence why he specifically does his little claustrophobia thing: inflicting physical pain was out of the question, so he settled for getting his kicks via mental/emotional pain instead. It'd also explain why he's so nonchalant about getting tossed about and abused so much.

** In the start of the first memory, you can catch a glimpse of a child in a boat wearing that same mask. If we assume that the child is Felix, then that means he's had the mask since he was young...which raises even ''more'' questions regarding its origins. Is it a family heirloom? If not, then who gave it to him, and why?

* With all the game's maps save the shopping mall being based on or at least somewhat inspired by places from Jet Set Radio Future, it would make sense for a future DLC to include districts inspired by the Grind City maps from that game; Bantam Street (based on Brooklyn) and Grind Square (based on Times Square).

Not in the literal way, mind; the entity of "Red", even while he's getting his memories back, gets his personality from both of the former Big 3 members. It's obvious that he gets Felix's voice, skills, and affability, but what he gets from Faux (aside from the body) isn't totally apparent--until you realize that Faux was weirdly obsessed with Felix deciding to break off from their group and go All City solo, was able to get along with Tryce (at least superficially), and was very nervous about losing his connections because of his cop father. Red's way more likely to be a team player than Felix was at the temporary end of his life; maybe his desire to go All City ''together'' came from those odd quirks.

* Within the ruins of Old Amsterdam (which in itself is buried under Varsum Hill), you can find a sarcophagus with a death mask that looks identical to the mask that Felix (and later DJ Cyber) wears. The mask is seen nowhere else except these three instances, so it's unlikely that Felix just bought it from a store, which raises the question...how did Felix find that mask? Did he find Old Amsterdam and take the mask from there? Does he have his own motives for having it, or did he just think the mask looked cool and paid no attention to what it could mean?
