** '''''[[color:red:TAKE THAT!]]''''' The original poster never claimed that Phoenix ''was'' a spirit medium, just that he could be ''part'' spirit medium! He could still be male with spirit medium blood flowing through his veins, allowing him to use the Magatama, and see/hear Mia without her being channeled.

This explains why sometimes a person in the scene will be frozen in a very active pose while you have time to look at everything. That's because time is stopped. It also explains why sometimes conversations bring up information you've heard before, or they play out in the exact same way if you bring them up again. In the courtroom, this only works during cross-examination. This is the main advantage that defense attorneys have over the prosecution. It doesn't undo penalties, though, which leads to..

* Also, consider that Ace Attorney Investigatons (the only game in the series that does not involve trials) does not have a Court Record, instead having the pieces of evidence written down. This is obviously because within the game, Edgeworth is not in any actual trials, and thus does not have access to the Court Record.

[[WMG: Becoming a defense attorney or prosecutor is as simple as applying to [=McDonalds=].]]
I mean, come on. Well-known Defense Attorney Diego Armando [[spoiler:wakes up from a five-year coma and immediately becomes a prosecutor]]. Calisto Yew, [[spoiler: as an ''identity'', didn't exist until the case of Cece Yew and goes right to being a defense attorney.]] Nobody bats an eyelash at either of these. On top of this, Klavier Gavin could not ''possibly'' have had enough time to study law ''and'' become a super-popular rock star at age 17.

The law books are just fluff and the reason Phoenix has so much trouble with them is because he learned everything via word-of-mouth from Mia.

[[WMG: Pearl, Maya and Edgeworth all know about Phoenix's disbarring + Next Game Predictions]]
It seems unlikely that Edgeworth, as one of the top prosecutors as well as a person accused of forging evidence, would not know about the disbarring. Edgeworth would then call Maya to inform her of this, but encourage her that a direct talk with him about it wouldn't be productive, hence the Steel Samurai stuff. However, Pearls would have likely heard about this through Maya, who would've been heartbroken at the thought of Phoenix forging evidence, and would probably become a prosecutor to try and find the truth behind the whole thing by talking to Klavier. However, by the time that she becomes one (at a young age, possibly with Franziska or Edgeworth's help) she discovers that Phoenix has a protoge, and then gets either Franziska or Edgeworth to mentor her while still doing medium training, despite the fact that Edgeworth has Kay as an assistant

If the above is true, then in the next game both Pearls and Edgeworth (or Franziska) will appear, possibly including Gumshoe, Kay and Maya. The cases will go like so: Case 1 will be Apollo vs Payne, Cases 2,3 and possibly 4 will have Apollo vs Pearl, the final case will be Apollo vs either Edgeworth, Franziska or Klavier, and there will possibly be one bit where you play as a recently reinstated Phoenix, possibly for the first part of the last case. Also, to prove to Pearl that the lawyer spirit still burns brightly in the Wright Anything Agency, Apollo (with Maya or a channeled Mia's help) will grab Phoenix's magatama and use it in his cases, which will become a key point when in the last case you have to combine the Psyche Lock and Percieve systems to defeat the Black Psyche Locks. Kay, when she appears, will basicly be looking for evidence with Pearl or for Edgeworth.

[[WMG: The missing characters from the Phoenix-arc are the jurors in the last case of ''Apollo Justice'']]
Phoenix had been planning to set up the jury-system for a long time and had to keep his friends uninvolved, since he wanted them to be the jury for the first trial using this system. It's also for this reason that Phoenix refrained from introducing or mentioning them to Apollo. If he just lost one wrong word to them, they'd automatically disqualified for being too involved in the case. Ema, however, still disaqualified in the end, because she donated the camera to him, so he replaced her with Thallasa. The other five jurists are Edgeworth, Maya, Pearl, Maggey and Iris.(Not Gumshoe, since he was involved in the trial which started the whole mess).
