However, there's another villain back in Wyverngarde to take down after Eris, though he goes down MUCH more easily and quickly]].

* BanOnMagic: Necromancy is generally banned in Wyverngarde. The only people allowed to study and practice it are a select few noble houses (like House Asclepius) and Wallace Nightgrave. Wallace got special permission from the headmaster of the Imperial Academy, and later on became the pupil of Lazarick Asclepius to continue his studies. The reason for the ban is mainly because it was used in the past to raise armies of the dead. However, Lazarick and Wallace know that necromancy is the school of death and life magic, so they want to harness its power to save people.

* DarkestHour: The tail end of 's trial, for Tyrion. For the first time in the game, his final Argument against the culprit cannot be won, and his last resort (the Empowered Eye) is nullified . His thoughts just before the would-be verdict show how he feels like he's alone and a failure, not able to trust anyone, convinced that he's being used by everybody (including Tymora and Celeste). He only gets out of this hopeless situation thanks to a DeusExMachina.

* AsYouKnow: Early in the first case, Celeste is facing accusations from an unknown witness; the characters go out of their way to spell out the fact that witnesses aren't required to reveal their identity under the kingdom's laws, which everyone present should know perfectly well but which serves to make it clear to readers that this is a deliberate point divergence from American law (where the right to confront your accuser is enshrined in the constitution).

* LifeMeter: During Argument minigames, Tyrion and his opponent get a health bar that is drained when the player picks answers or presents evidence. If you get it right, your opponent loses HP. If you get it wrong, you lose HP. Unlike Ace Attorney, no such health bar is present during cross-examinations, so the player isn't punished for presenting wrong evidence there.
