* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: All the couples are unique in their own way, but Matsuri and Miyu, the last pair of characters to get focus, is unique in that they're already together as of the start of the story, as opposed to other couples who have yet to confess. In "Charm," an extra scene that takes place in mid-September, they also stand out as the only couple that is fighting at the moment.

* SenpaiKohai:
** Maki and Miki, with Maki as the plucky, hard-working kouhai who highly admires the saintly and reliable Miki.
** Sachi was a third-year when she died, while Megumi was a first-year, and Megumi does seem to look up to Sachi as a sempai, but naturally it's complicated by the many, many years since they were actually that age.
** PlayedForLaughs between Megumi and Yuna. In one scene, Megumi and Yuna disagree over who should be treating the other with respect: Megumi thinks she's the senior one since she's been living for so much longer, while Yuna points out that Megumi is still technically a first-year, and that 'living' isn't really the right word in this context.
** Hina has Matsuri and Miyu as her track club sempai. Yuna is also sometimes referred to as Hina's sempai, but the two are close enough that Hina never addresses Yuna as such.

** Maki is normally a sweet and friendly girl... which makes that one moment where she [[RageBreakingPoint practically explodes]] at [[spoiler:a group of third years making fun of Miki]] all the more shocking.

* UnstoppableRage: Maki basically goes nuclear when she finds [[spoiler:three older classmates making fun of her beloved senpai]]. Her rage is to the point that she makes the older student, whom she lifts by the collar, ''cry'', Yuna becomes ''frightened'' by her, and her voice contorts to become a hateful contralto.
