Once a normal plant seed, the magic within Medio's soil causes to grow exponentially, but requires a fairy soil to be satisfy it's hunger, thus leading to the creation of the tree brides and the monthly exterminations of fairies by Canus]].

* MoodWhiplash: Happens on occasion. In Rindo's route, there was an intense, intimate moment between Kotone and Rindo where they had an AlmostKiss, only for it to immediately switch to humor once the other regulars decide to [[MomentKill kill the moment]]. Then as Rindo was taking Kotone back to the café, it becomes serious again when Rindo gets a call from GPM [[spoiler: calling for help as the headquarters was being attacked by Shizuka and Rindo himself becomes cursed and seriously injured when he investigates.]]

* OddFriendship: Misyr and Il. One would not think a demon and a fallen angel would be so close but possibly because both are the oldest out of the regulars, as well as the most powerful, they get along very well, with Misyr in particular being protective over Il.

** Locals around the town call Canus variations of "Helmet".

* GrandRomanticGesture: In the bonus scene of Canus's route, he brings Kotone to [[spoiler: a field of flowers that was once Medio and proposes to her there.]]

** Also, [[spoiler: Rindo]]'s Bad Ending. [[spoiler: While Mikado and Shizuka's plans were foiled by Rindo and they were TogetherInDeath, Rindo was unable to live with himself being transformed into a non-human and left Kotone and the café with the hopes of finding a way to become human again. Kotone sadly thinks to herself that it has been three years at that point and she still hasn't seen Rindo since.]]

* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler: Ignis]]'s Bad Ending has this ending. [[spoiler: Although Kotone manages to bring him back to senses and the weaker beasts manages to convince the stronger beasts to not hunt them down for sport anymore, Ignis is unable to return to his original form and Dromi, as the instigator of the events, manages to escape. Ignis is encased in ice and falls into a deep sleep where no one is certain when he will wake up again or if he will still be himself when he does.]]

* LastOfHisKind: Dromi is stated to be the last werecat. By the end of Ignis's route, [[spoiler: Ignis is the last of the firewolves.]]

* TwoFaced: This is what happens to [[spoiler: Rindo in his transformed non-human form after Kotone gives him a drug to save his life. Half of his upper body remains human while the other half has a skeletal/shadow-like form.]]

* BigBrotherInstinct:
** All the non-romanced regulars look after Kotone and protect her from various dangers that occur both in the human world and in other worlds.
** Despite being a demon and angel respectively, Misyr is protective over Il who can get in trouble when he leaves the café.
** [[spoiler: Canus's predecessor Banshee]] is one towards [[spoiler: Titania]]. When [[spoiler: Titania becomes the next World Tree Bride]], the latter decides to wage a war against [[spoiler: the Yggdrasil]] in order to protect the former. They unfortunately failed and their attempt only caused more devastation for everyone involved.

* DumbassHasAPoint: Il by no means is dumb but he has little experience or knowledge regarding humans and relationships in general. But he is the one to suggest that all the regulars go a date with Kotone to help distract her and help her to cope after witnessing Kororo's families' deaths. The other regulars are surprised that it was Il to think of this first.

* HeKnowsTooMuch: In Rindo's route, it's revealed this is why [[spoiler: Shizuka was transformed into a non-human. She knew too much and protested against the unethical experiments that the research department was performing to make humans into non-humans.]]

* InSeriesNickname: Since Kotone's name is customizable, other characters often refer to her as "master/owner".

* MouthtoMouthForceFeeding: In [[spoiler: Rindo]]'s route, being too sick and weak to take [[spoiler: the life-saving transformation medicine Mikado provided]], Kotone has to do this in order to get [[spoiler: Rindo]] to take it to save his life.

* BewareTheNiceOnes:
** Kotone is usually friendly and kind-hearted but in one instance when Mikado became distracted with the regulars after casually mentioning that Rindo was in danger, Kotone calmly and sweetly twisted his head to face her and repeated her question as to what happened to Rindo.
** In Ignis's route, she slaps [[spoiler: Dromi]] for all the pain the latter had caused Ignis.

* EasilyForgiven: In Canus's route, despite their well intentions, [[spoiler: Vennia]]'s plan still could have seriously injured or killed Kotone. Yet, she and Canus were quick to forgive the former.

* FishOutOfWater: Kotone is suddenly thrown into a world where non-humans exist among humans and even travelled to some of the other worlds where she is completely out of her element.
* ForgottenFirstMeeting: Kotone had met some of the regulars back many years ago when she had stayed with her grandfather but due to being a young child, she had forgotten that she had met them.

* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: In [[spoiler: Rindo]]'s route, after discovering the awful truth that [[spoiler: the GPM's research department and upper management were the ones to intentionally transform Shizuka into a non-human to keep her quiet]], [[spoiler: Mikado]] goes on one of these to get revenge for what they did to [[spoiler: Shizuka]].

* ButNowIMustGo: In [[spoiler: Rindo]]'s Bad Ending, no longer able to live with himself after [[spoiler: being transformed into a non-human]], [[spoiler: Rindo]] leaves on a self-discovery journey, promising Kotone that he will return one day [[spoiler: if he can return to being human.]] At that point, Kotone sadly muses it had already been three years and she still has not seen [[spoiler: Rindo]] since.

* TearsFromAStone: [[spoiler: Shizuka in her awakened non-human form]]'s spite appears to have tears coming down on one side of their face.

** In Rindo's route, all [[spoiler: Mikado]] wanted was to save [[spoiler: his girlfriend Shizuka and bring her back to her original human form]] while taking revenge on those who were involved. Unfortunately, their methods included harming and endangering several innocent people, including [[spoiler: Rindo who would have died from Shizuka's hex if he hadn't taken the transformation drug.]]

* AndIMustScream: The current condition of [[spoiler: Rindo's younger sister Shizuka, who has been transformed into a mindless type 2 non-human by her own experiment and only wakes up to feed on Mikado's blood, but is otherwise voiceless, mindless and has to be constantly sedated by Mikado to stop her from rampaging.]]

* BirdsOfAFeather: Kotone and Rindo bond over the fact they are the only humans in the café. In Rindo's route, they bond more when Koton discover Rindo also enjoys cooking like herself.

** [[spoiler: Shizuka in her non-human form]] enjoys feeding on [[spoiler: her boyfriend Mikado]]'s arm and tasting human blood.

** PlayedForLaughs in Rindo's route when he invites Kotone to his apartment and wants to introduce her to someone. Said someone is a Kuurey who happens to help clean and tend to his apartment but Kotone somehow came to the conclusion this is Rindo's girlfriend/wife.

* PlayingWithSyringes: This is how [[spoiler: Rindo's sister accidentally became a non-human in one of her experiments.]]

* StarCrossedLovers: It's revealed in Rindo's route that Mikado is in a relationship with [[spoiler: Ku-chan, or better known as Rindo's younger sister Shizuka, who had been transformed into a non-human accidentally in her own experiments. He hopes he can find a way to transform her back into a human but had no luck in the last seven years]]. He still openly refers to her as his girlfriend and dotes on her, which has weirded out many people who don't know the truth.

* AgeGapRomance: Rindo is in his forties and has almost a twenty year age gap between him and Kotone. In his route, Kotone has some insecurity and angst about it as she wonders if he sees her more as a kid or a little sister.

** In Rindo's route, when Kotone speculates about Rindo having a girlfriend, Rindo jokingly asks Kotone if she would be his girlfriend. Due to her growing feelings for him, Kotone actually feels annoyed about his joke and responds a serious question instead, surprising both Rindo and herself into silence.

* DatePeepers: During Il's date with Kotone, Misyr and the others followed them, mostly out of Misyr's concern for Il.

* AlmostKiss: In his route, just when Rindo and Kotone were about to kiss, Rindo's phone [[MomentKiller started ringing]] and a familiar voice commented that they knew Rindo was about to do something evil to a girl. Kotone immediately recognizes the voice as Misyr and starts blushing furiously that he and the other regulars must have been watching them.

* DeadManWriting: Souen wrote a letter to Kotone bequeathing his café to her shortly after his death. In Rindo's route, Rindo shows Kotone the letter Souen left for him, asking Rindo to take care of his granddaughter.

* AgeGapRomance: Rindo is in his forties and has almost a twenty year age gap between him and Kotone.

* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Kotone's former boss continues to call and harass her to help with things even though she had left the company months ago and she was a new graduate. Finally, Kotone realizes why her former boss keeps calling her.

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: Misyr believes humans and non-humans are not that different in the end (he even feels humans' technology is superior to magic at times) and can co-exist together, as Kotone, Souen and Kariya have demonstrated with the regulars. Rindo on the other hand expresses that humans and non-humans cannot live together, as in his line of work in GPM, he has seen many attempts end terribly for both parties.

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: Misyr believes humans and non-humans are not that different in the end and can co-exist together, as Kotone, Souen and Kariya have demonstrated with the regulars. Rindo on the other hand expresses that humans and non-humans cannot live together, as in his line of work in GPM, he has seen many attempts end terribly for both parties.

* HorrorHunger: [[spoiler: Ignis]] is revealed to be the reincarnation of Vanar [[spoiler: an ancient ravenous firewolf]] who consumed every living creature around him. Vanar is said to have developed a particular taste for humans after eating many. [[spoiler: Ignis]] realized, to his horror, that after mindlessly attacking Kotone and biting her arm, he liked the taste of her flesh.

* InterspeciesRomance: Kotone, a human, can become romantically involve with either a demon, an angel, a fairy or a firewolf.

* MercyKill: Averted in the Bad Ending of [[spoiler: Canus]]'s route where [[spoiler: Canus]] muses that they should kill to [[spoiler: Kotone, who has been fused into the Yggdrasil, falls into a coma and is having her life slowly drained away]], as [[spoiler: Kotone]] would not want to live like this but is unable to do so.

* MarriedToTheJob: Both Rindo and Kotone are this, having their lives revolve around the café and GPM respectively and having little contact with people outside of their work circles. Souen used to nag Rindo about having a life outside of work and Rindo muses there is some irony that he is now nagging Souen's granddaughter about the same thing.

* VitriolicBestBuds: The non-human regulars with Rindo. They frequently tease and make fun for being human and "old" but they still care about him in their own way.

* NotSoDifferentRemark: Kotone tries to tell Kariya that humans and non-humans aren't as different as he thinks, as the coffee she is serving to him that moment is the same coffee enjoyed by her non-human guests.

* ObfuscatingStupidity: [[spoiler: Dromi]] puts on a playful, harmless act but in reality, [[spoiler: in Ignis's route, he is the one orchestrating all the events to cause Ignis to devolve into his ancestral instincts and kill and eat every living creature around him.]]
* OnlyAFleshWound: Rindo gets accidentally stabbed by icicles created by Kariya who was going through an emotional crisis. He pretends he is not badly injured to not cause Kariya or Kotone to panic but the regulars see through his act quickly.

* PurpleIsPowerful: Misyr wears purple robes, as well as his hair being purple, which fits his status as being the king and most powerful being in the demon world.

* ShipperWithAnAgenda: In Canus's route, [[spoiler: Vennia]] appears to be pleased to notice Canus and Kotone getting closer and is noted to be frequently observing the couple, even bringing Kotone to Medio to help patch things up between the two. [[spoiler: Vennia's actual goal is to switch Kotone with Titania as a World Tree Bride, thus giving Canus and the other regulars motivation to destroy the World Tree.]]

* WalkingShirtlessScene: Ignis in his non-human form shows off his well-toned body.

* WhenSheSmiles: Ignis normally has a scowl or frown and at best, a cocky smirk. But in his route, he smiles gently at Kotone and she is taken back by the warmth in his smile.

* CoolBigSis: Kotone acts like an older sister towards Kariya.
* CooldownHug: This is how Kotone calms down [[spoiler: a rampaging Ignis in his Vanar form]] in his route.

* CowardlyLion: Kotone often thinks of herself to be cowardly but despite being afraid, she doubles down and makes the best of certain situations.

* {{Irony}}: Ignis is a wolf but in his human form, he wears a shirt that has a cat on it.

* MaamShock: Rindo is aware he is in his forties but doesn't like it when others refer to him as "old man" or "old".

* {{Otaku}}: Il is a massive fan of Otome games, and his room is filled with ton of merchandise and games.

* PowerIncontinence: Kariya doesn't always have full control over his ice powers. If his mental state worsens, he can freeze the surrounding area around him. When serving meals to the regulars, he can accidentally freeze their meals or drinks.

* {{Tsundere}}: Ignis is a classic type, blunt, brutally honest and short-tempered, yet hides a soft side.
* UnevenHybrid: Kariya is mostly human but he finds out that one of his ancestors was actually a fairy.

* AbusiveParents: Kariya's biological parents and other relatives are noted to have either abandoned or mistreated him once they realize he wasn't entirely human.

* AngelicBeauty: Il, despite being a fallen angel, is still known for his beauty.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Dromi is not related to Ignis but he behaves like they are as they had grown up together. Ignis and almost all the other characters find his brash, loud personality annoying. [[spoiler: Even after the reveal of his true personality and intentions, they still find him annoying and frustrating in a different way.]]

* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: Misyr remains the demon king because he is the strongest in his world.
* BabysFirstWords: Kororo usually says variations of "Kyuuru" but he suddenly says Ignis's name at the end of the trip to find his parents, surprising Ignis who had not known sea demons to speak.
* BeautifulSingingVoice: Befitting of an angel, Il has a lovely singing voice which he can also weaponize.

* BlackKnight: Canus is clad mostly in black but befitting his appearance as a knight, he is a gentle and kind person.
* BornAsAnAdult: In his route, [[spoiler: Canus]] reveals he came into the world already as an adult [[spoiler: and with memories of his predecessor and knowledge that he had to kill many fairies in order to sate the Yggdrasil's hunger.]]
* BreakHisHeartToSaveHim: In Canus's route, he acts coldly towards Kotone due to not wanting her to get involved with [[spoiler: the situation with Medio and the Yggdrasil]]. His inner narration later says how distraught and heartbroken he was for making her cry.
* CaringGardener: Canus is a kind-hearted man (despite his menacing appearance) and is revealed to be an excellent gardener for Enchanté. [[spoiler: This skill would come handy after Yggdrasil is destroyed and Medio is soon populated with flowers all over the land.]]
* CatchAFallingStar: Canus catches Kotone after some fairies push her off a cliff.
* CaughtTheHeartOnHisSleeve: In Ignis's route, after [[spoiler: finding out he had killed several members of his own firewolf tribe when he was a child when in a frenzy and fearful he could hurt Kotone]], Ignis tells Kotone he will not be returning to Enchanté. Just as he turns away, Kotone grabs his arm to prevent him from leaving and to let Ignis know she doesn't want him to leave.
* ChildOfTwoWorlds: Despite living as a human for most of his life, Kariya is discovered to have fairy ancestry and has been steadily growing sicker as his body is not meant to be in the human world but in Medio. He struggles with leaving his human life behind to live in Medio or stay in the human world with his HappilyAdopted family but would not live for a long time.
* ColourCodedEmotions: Canus's neck has light emitting from it and it changes color depending on his mood, which helps Kotone determine what emotion he is feeling, considering he does not have a face.

* DontFearTheReaper: Canus is revealed to be the Fairy of Death. He is a kind and gentle individual but his own fairy kind, who are essentially immortal, fear him as they don't understand the concept of death. [[spoiler: Nor do they understand why Canus must kill a certain number of them regularly to feed Yggdrasil.]]

* EveryonesBabySister: Kotone is the youngest and most vulnerable out of the regulars. Regardless of the route, all the regulars are protective over her and anyone threatening or hurting her is a sure way to get several powerful people pissed off.

* FelonyMisdemeanor: PlayedForLaughs when Rindo takes Kotone out for dinner to get her to rest after working non-stop. Misyr semi-seriously wants to burn him alive for asking. Ignis tells her to kick him in the nuts if he tried anything and Canus advises her to stab Rindo in the throat while he is stunned.
* FieryRedhead: Ignis has red hair and the temper to match.
* FirstTimeFeeling: When visiting Bestia for the first time, Il is confused when he becomes cold. He later on expresses how happy he is because he had never experienced being cold before.

* FriendToAllLivingThings: Dogs are very fond of Ignis and they swamped him when he visits the park even if he tries to tell them to leave him alone.

* GentleGiant: Canus is easily the tallest and biggest of the Enchante regulars and also a kind-hearted man with a love of gardening.

* TheGlomp: This is how Kotone first meets Misyr who surprises her with an unexpected embrace once the gate to Enchanté is opened the first time in months.

* HeadbuttOfLove: Kororo tends to headbutt Ignis as a way to show his affection. Considering he has a horn on his head, it can hurt.
* HeroicRROD: Ignis was told as a child, due to constantly fighting day after day, citizens from Bestia will eventually physically and mentally break down and revert into mindless feral beasts. He explains to Kotone prior to meeting Souen and Enchanté, he was dangerously veering into this stage but managed to pull through and keep his sanity after Souen offered him food. [[spoiler: It is revealed Ignis was actually lied to by his uncle. Beasts never lose their sanity when fighting but Ignis, as the reincarnation of the ravenous monster wolf, could when it comes to hunger and smelling blood.]]

* HotAsHell: Misyr is a demon yet still very good-looking.

* IKissYourHand: Due to the nature of Canus's lack of head, he instead kisses Kotone's hand to show his affection.
* IKnowMortalKombat: PlayedForLaughs as Il uses his knowledge of otome games to educate the others and himself when going a date with Kotone.

* InnocentlyInsensitive: Il, due to not always understanding emotions and relationships, is often this.
** When carrying Ignis, he bluntly comments about the exact amount of weight that Ignis gained.
** At one point, he tells Rindo that they have never been close so Il never really cared to talk to him.
** When the others realized that Kotone is depressed after seeing the grisly deaths of Kororo's family, Il disagrees, wondering why Kotone would feel emotional towards sea demons or Kororo's family whom she is unrelated to. The other regulars had to gently point out to him why.

* MagicMusic:
** Il often sings to utilize his abilities. At the beginning of his route, while letting Kotone rest at the park, he sings her a lullaby, which causes her and ''everyone'' at hearing range to fall asleep.
** During the attack against the giant Spartoi skeletal arm, Misyr's spell to counter it is described by Kotone to resembling and sounding like a piano playing.
* ManipulativeBastard: [[spoiler: Dromi]] is the mastermind behind the events in Ignis's route. The former manipulated the Minotaurs to make repeated attacks against Ignis for years and later, to raid the human world to [[spoiler: fuel and awaken Ignis's hunger lust so Ignis could become Vanar reincarnated]], while also pretending to be an ally for Ignis and GPM.
* MomentKiller: In Ignis's route, Kotone and Ignis are having a heartfelt moment where Kotone almost admits her feelings to Ignis when Kororo sends a large splash of water at Ignis.

* MundaneUtility: The regulars have utilized Ignis's flames in his non-human form to warm themselves or dry their clothes, much to Ignis's annoyance.
* MustHaveCaffeine: Misyr says out of all the foods he has tried over his lifetime, he likes coffee the most. The narration often notes he is slipping coffee on the side.
* MysticalWhiteHair: Kariya's white hair is noticeable by other characters and a hint that he has some non-human ancestry.

* ObliviousToLove: In Ignis's route, Kotone simply did not get it when Dromi asked if she was Ignis's mate, even as Ignis was blushing and vehemently denying anything when Dromi started mentioning another Bestia female being interested in him. Kotone instead cheerfully asks Ignis to bring over his mate to Enchanté.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Misyr becomes uncharacteristically serious on Amasaki Island when dealing with the wormhole in the sky.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Mikado looks like a high schooler student like Kariya but he is actually closer to Rindo's age.

* PsychopathicManchild: [[spoiler: Dromi]] is revealed to be one in Ignis's route. They are maniacally devoted to [[spoiler: their plan of causing Ignis to becoming an ancient monster to devour every beast in Bestia]], even if it would get them killed as well. Many characters call them insane and child-like in their belief.

* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Kororo, the baby sea demon who quickly attaches to Ignis, Kotone and Kariya.
* RoseHairedSweetie: Kotone has pink-colored hair and is a friendly, kind-hearted girl.
* SharpDressedMan: Rindo's main outfit is a three piece suit with a WaistcoatOfStyle.

* ShipperOnDeck: Kororo is shown wanting Kotone and Ignis to be together, understandably as he views both as his ParentalSubstitute, and appears frustrated when neither Kotone or Ignis seem to follow through with his attempts to get them together.

* SuddenlySpeaking: Kororo mostly says "kyuuru" and was able to say Ignis's name once or twice but in Ignis's route, Kororo suddenly manages to speak in broken one-word sentences to [[spoiler: explain the history of Vanar and what it meant for Ignis]].
* SwordAndGun: In combat, Rindo can be seen holding a gun in one hand and a knife in the other.
* TakeAThirdOption: Kariya has to decide whether to live in Medio (leaving his human life behind) or stay in the human world (where his sickness will worsen and kill him) but another option presents itself that he could make temporary trips to Medio while still living in the human world and he could work in Enchanté, which acts as a intermediary between the worlds to stabilize his condition for the time being.
* TearsOfRemorse: Kariya breaks down into tears when unintentionally stabbing Rindo with his ice powers.
* TheTeamNormal: Rindo is the only human among the regulars. Though he recognizes he can't compared to the strength and abilities of the non-humans, Kotone notes he is still [[BadassNormal an exceptional fighter]].
* TheseHandsHaveKilled: [[spoiler: Ignis]] is disgusted at himself upon realizing he had killed [[spoiler: several monsters and his fellow firewolves as a child in a berserk state.]] Later on, he becomes catatonic when [[spoiler: he kills and eats several Minotaurs and then, almost does the same to both Il and Kotone if the others hadn't arrived to stop him.]]
* ThouShaltNotKill: Despite his reputation as a BloodKnight, it is revealed that Ignis chooses not to kill anyone. [[spoiler: Ignis is horrified to find out that as a child, he killed and ''ate'' the beasts who invaded his home, along with several of his own tribe, including his own friends.]]

* WoundLicking: In Ignis's route, after Kotone scrapes her hand, Ignis proceeds to lick her wound, though even he was surprised that [[MyInstinctsAreShowing he reacted that way]].
* YouMustBeCold: When standing outside to admire Bestia's snow, Ignis notices that Kotone is cold and he embraces her to keep her warm since he doesn't have an extra jacket to offer her.
* YouShallNotPass: As Misyr requires time to set up his spell to close the wormhole on Amasaki Island, Canus and Rindo defend him from the waves of Spartoi attacking them.

* FelonyMisdemeanor: PlayedForLaughs when Rindo takes Kotone out for dinner to get her to rest after working non-stop. Ignis tells her to kick him in the nuts if he tried anything and Canus advises her to stab Rindo in the throat while he is stunned.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: The first six chapters often hints at events to occur in the romance routes.
** When meeting Titania, she wistfully tells Kotone that she cannot leave Medio. [[spoiler: The reason is revealed because she literally cannot leave as she tied to the Yggdrasil in Canus's route.]]
** Kororo, who is normally affectionate to everyone, doesn't like Dromi. [[spoiler: It is because Kororo knows Dromi is trying to awaken Vanar through Ignis.]]

* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: When Misyr appears uncharacteristically apologetic and down during the Amasaki Island situation and says he will manage sealing the wormhole on his own without bothering the others, the other regulars start hitting him to not only make him realize YouAreNotAlone, but also that they were insulted he would think so lowly of them that they wouldn't help him. * SharpDressedMan: Rindo's main outfit is a three piece suit.

* ApocalypseCult: In Ignis's route, [[spoiler: Dromi]] is revealed to have a fanatical worship for Vanar, [[spoiler: an ancient wolf whose hunger caused it to devour every living creature around it and who Ignis is the reincarnation of]]. [[spoiler: Dromi]] wants to awaken Vanar to consume Bestia and everyone who lives there. Played with as [[spoiler: Dromi]] is the only one crazy enough to admire Vanar, as everyone else thinks of them as insane.
* AffectionateNickname: Misyr sometimes refers to Kotone as "princess".

** Ignis, due to being the strongest beast in Bestia, is either being attacked by other beasts trying to kill him or feared by weaker beasts. [[spoiler: The truth is a bit different. As a child, Ignis went berserk after witnessing countless deaths of his tribe and proceeded to kill and ''eat'' both friend and ally alike, leading to everyone in Bestia to fear him]]. Similar to Canus, he finds his place at Café Enchanté as he can relax for some time and not constantly be fighting.

* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Dromi is not related to Ignis but he behaves like they are. Ignis and almost all the other characters find his brash, loud personality annoying.

* BabysFirstWords: Kororo usually says variations of "Kyuu" but he suddenly says Ignis's name, surprising Ignis who had not known sea demons to speak.

* CaughtTheHeartOnHisSleeve: In Ignis's route, after [[spoiler: finding out he had killed several members of his own firewolf tribe when he was a child when in a frenzy]], Ignis tells Kotone he will not be returning to Enchanté. Just as he turns away, Kotone grabs his arm to prevent him from leaving and to let Ignis know she doesn't want him to leave.

* HeroicRROD: Ignis was told as a child, due to constantly fighting day after day, citizens from Bestia will eventually physically and mentally break down and revert into mindless feral beasts. He explains to Kotone prior to meeting Souen and Enchanté, he was dangerously veering into this stage but managed to pull through and keep his sanity after Souen offered him food. [[spoiler: It is revealed Ignis was actually lied to by his uncle. Beasts never lose their sanity when fighting but Ignis, as the reincarnation of the ravenous monster wolf, could.]]

** At one point, he tells Rindo that they have never been close so Il never really paid attention to his presence.

* LastOfHisKind: Dromi is stated to be the last werecat. By the end of Ignis's route, [[spoiler: Ignis is the last of the firewolf tribe.]]

* ManipulativeBastard: [[spoiler: Dromi]] is the mastermind behind the events in Ignis's route. The former manipulated [[spoiler: the Minotaurs]] to repeatedly attack both Ignis and the human world to [[spoiler: fuel and awaken Ignis's hunger lust]].

* SuddenlySpeaking: Kororo mostly says "kyuu" and was able to say Ignis's name once or twice but in Ignis's route, Kororo suddenly manages to speak in broken one-word sentences to [[spoiler: explain the history of Vanar and what it meant for Ignis]].

* TheseHandsHaveKilled: [[spoiler: Ignis]] is disgusted at himself upon realizing he had killed [[spoiler: several monsters and his fellow firewolves and eaten them in his berserk state.]] Later on, he becomes catatonic when [[spoiler: he almost kills and eat Il and would have done the same to Kotone if the others hadn't arrived to stop him.]]

* WhenSheSmiles: Ignis normally has a scowl or frown and at best, he has a cocky smirk. But in his route, he smiles gently at Kotone and she is taken back by the warmth in his smile.

* WouldHitAGirl: In Ignis's route, in an attempt to [[spoiler: awaken Vanar and get Ignis to eat Kotone,]] [[spoiler: Dromi]] first hits Kotone after she slapped the latter but soon dissolves into beating her as their frustrations erupt.

** Canus is widely feared and avoided in Medio and no one interacts with him aside from Vennia and Titania. Even during the party Titania hosts, Kotone notices Canus standing away from the celebrations and everyone else, eventually leaving the party early. This is why he treasures his time spent at Café Enchanté as the other regulars have no problem interacting with him.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Kotone is usually friendly and kind-hearted but in one instance when Mikado became distracted with the regulars after casually mentioning that Rindo was in danger, Kotone calmly and sweetly twisted his head to face her and repeated her question as to what happened to Rindo.

* ExposedToTheElements: Played with. Ignis, Dromi and some Bestia beasts wear little protection over the freezing elements since the cold doesn't effect them but weaker Bestia beasts are bundled up in clothing. Even Il is noticeably affected by the cold compared to the other regulars. Averted when [[spoiler: someone kidnaps Kotone and drags her into Bestia]], Kotone would have froze to death as she is both human and did not have the appropriate clothing to protect her.

* FriendToAllLivingThings: Dogs are very fond of Ignis and they swamped him when he visits the park even if he tries to tell them to leave him alone.

* GoryDiscretionShot: When Kotone and the regulars are trying to locate Kororo's parents in Bestia, they find a group of sea demons brutally killed, presumably including Kororo's parents. The background shot depicts a messy splatter of blood on the icy ground, though the characters' text indicates the scene is far gorier.

* TakeAThirdOption: Kariya has to decide whether to live in Medio (leaving his human life behind) or stay in the human world (where his sickness will worsen and kill him) but another option presents itself that he could make temporary trips to Medio while still living in the human world and he could work in Enchanté, which acts as a intermediary between the worlds to stabilize his condition.

* ThouShaltNotKill: Despite his reputation as a BloodKnight, it is revealed that Ignis chooses not to kill anyone.

* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: When Misyr appears uncharacteristically apologetic and down during the Amasaki Island situation and says he will manage sealing the wormhole on his own, the other regulars start hitting him to not only make him realize YouAreNotAlone, but also that they were insulted he would think so lowly of them that they wouldn't help him. * InnocentlyInsensitive: Il, due to not always understanding emotions, is often this. When the others realized that Kotone is depressed after seeing the grisly deaths of Kororo's family, Il disagrees, wondering why Kotone would feel emotional towards sea demons or Kororo's family whom she is unrelated to. The other regulars had to gently point out to him why.
