Besides being an obvious bit of [[ProductPlacement/VideoGames product placement for Domino's]], the other curious aspect to this title is that it's actually a DolledUpInstallment of a UsefulNotes/{{Famicom}} game, ''Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru''. In that game, you played a ninja who, instead of a yo-yo, flung his bird at enemies. The pizza eating contests were originally traditional battles. And the setting and story was completely different, with kids going missing from Fun Island and Hanamaru having to find them and stop who's behind it.

''Yo! Noid'' is a [[PlatformGame platforming]] video game for the UsefulNotes/NintendoEntertainmentSystem, released in 1990. It was developed by NOW Production for Creator/{{Capcom}}. The plot involves the Noid, the mascot of Domino's Pizza, heading through UsefulNotes/NewYorkCity stopping wild creatures led by the mysterious "Mr. Green". The Noid uses his yo-yo weapon to thwart enemies. At the end of every other level, you participated in a "pizza eating" contest with another Noid, with the winner being the character who filled their pizza meter the fastest.

!!The second game contains examples of:

** In Plizzanet, you're required to go to the Noid Core to get a key, and this area has [[GravityScrew new gravity physics, as it's a small spherical platform]]. After using the key to ride a rocket to the Noid Roid, you'll have to deal with the same gravity, but with actual platforming this time.
** One section in the final stage requires you to break a glass monitor, which requires grabbing one of the nearby dice with the Noid's yo-yo and spinning in circles to launch it with enough force to break the screen. This comes right before a boss fight where you have to do the same thing in more tense circumstances.
* BuildingSwing: The Noid's yo-yo can latch on to certain targets and grapple from them.
* DoubleJump: Cappy can do this, although the second jump doesn't get quite as much height as the first.
* EasterEgg: If you manage to get to the edge of the world and skybox in the Noid Void, you can look beyond it and be greeted with another skybox, made of pizza.
* GameOfTheYearEdition: Parodied. The post-launch updated version bears the subtitle of "Game of ''a'' Year Edition".
* GrapplingHookPistol: The Noid can use his yo-yo as such to swing from things.
* GravityScrew: The gimmick of the Noid Roid in Plizzanet is that you're on a much smaller planet, with gravity effects similar to ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy''.

** The humanoid Noids have a ''dab'' button, and they emit small noises whenever they dab.
** Played straighter with Cappy; since he has no arms to dab with, he just says "Noid".
* ImmediateSequel: The game is set after the Noid claims his [[AndYourRewardIsEdible pizzas]] for saving New York in the original game.
* LockAndKeyPuzzle: Locked doors are present in Domino Dungeon and Plizzanet. The puzzle is ''finding'' the keys.
* MooksButNoBosses: Inverted: the final boss of the game is the only enemy.
* MyNameIsQuestionMarks: The listed name for the final level.
* NostalgiaLevel: The first level is another rising-and-sinking dock set in New York, just like the original game's first level, and its music is even a remix of that level's theme.
* OpenSaysMe: Entering the final level requires the Noid to rip off the fortress's front door with his yo-yo.
* {{Retraux}}: The game looks like a [=PlayStation=] 1 era game, and its default appearance makes it look like you're playing off of a CRT TV.
* SecondHourSuperpower: At the end of the first level, the Noid recovers his yo-yo, which allows him to tether and grapple things.
* SeriousBusiness: Pizza, for the residents of the Void. They act like it's the EndOfAnAge now that there's no pizza anymore.
* ShoutOut:
** The character select menu has a few:
*** The default Noid is "None Pizza", a reference to the infamous "None Pizza with Left Beef" meme.
*** "The Return" lets you play as a Noid who wears green, jumps higher, wiggles his legs while jumping, and skids to a stop, making him a clear parallel to [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Luigi]]. Additionally, his name in text boxes is "Mr. Green", confirming that he's the antagonist of the original game.
*** [[Music/Crush40 Crust 40]] has you play as a {{Franchise/Sonic|TheHedgehog}}-like Noid.
*** The pill-shaped Noid is selected through the "[[Franchise/MegaMan Proto Man]]" option. According to the text boxes, his name is [[VideoGame/SuperMarioOdyssey Cappy]].
** In Swing Factory, there's a platform near the start with 4 notches, pepperonis in 3 of those notches, and a rock nearby. Putting the rock in the empty notch causes [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild a mushroom named Oroki to appear, who says "Yahaha! You found me!"]]
** The final boss of the game is [[spoiler:a blue-haired man named [[Music/HatsuneMiku Mike Hatsune]]. He also makes reference to creating a [[Music/{{Vocaloid}} "vocal Noid"]]]].
* StylisticSuck: Intentionally designed to look like a [=PlayStation=] 1 game with jagged polygons and levels floating in some kind of void, despite being made in 2017, with some extra meme quality thrown in for good measure.
* SuperSpeed: "Fast", otherwise known as Crust 40, has the speed to match his [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog inspired appearance]].
* TempleOfDoom: Domino Dungeon fits the mold, filled with archaic architecture, desert-level-inspired music {{Lock and Key Puzzle}}s, and devious traps.
* TitleDrop: When characters talk in the game, "Yo!" is appended in front of their name. Naturally, this results in "Yo! Noid" when the Noid himself speaks.

* VariableMix: Most stages have songs that change instrumentation depending on where you are in the level.
* WallJump: One of the moves the Noid can do.
* WallRun: The Noid can initiate this by jumping at an angle towards a wall. It's not good at going up, but it covers nice horizontal distance and he can jump into another wall run if there's more walls nearby.
