You're willing to dedicate a solid month of your life digging through mountains of sick Deep-Web content and fighting armies of professional hackers just to find a single Red Room, which is just senseless {{Gorn}} anyways. The icing on the cake is that browsing the Deep Web ''makes you a target for several extremely dangerous kidnappers to track your location and break into your house to kidnap you'' and even after surviving multiple terrifying encounters with them, you ''STILL'' continue to browse the Deep Web instead of, I dunno, calling the cops? Horror gaming hasn't had a protagonist this dumb since the [[Franchise/FiveNightsatFreddys night-guards]]

''Welcome to the Game'' is an upcoming puzzle-based horror game developed by Reflect Studios, the same lovely people who brought us ''Videogame/RidesWithStrangers''.

* BodyHorror / BlackEyesOfEvil: The kidnapper is a strange example. He doesn't have black eyes. In fact, he doesn't have any ''sockets'', from the looks of it. He just has two black gaping holes in his skull where his eyes should be. This is probably just an unfinished model or an illusion thanks to shadows, but he certainly isn't wearing any sunglasses.

* WretchedHive: The game's interpretation of the Deep Web uses a combination of exaggeration, urban legends, and actual twisted Deep Web content to make it seem like a SurvivalHorror setting.

The game follows a FeaturelessProtagonist, browsing the infamous Deep Web, a real-life digital WretchedHive, in search of a Red Room, a live streaming service hosting actual Gorn.

* HollywoodHacking: Every now and again, you're assaulted by a hacker that you can block with certain minigames, and did you really think the hacking would be remotely realistic?
* HollywoodSatanism: There are multiple sites dedicated to Satan-worshipping or something similiar.
* JustifiedTutorial: The game's tutorial is just a Skype friend telling you how to navigate around the dangers of the Deep Web.

* WhatTheHellPlayer / VillainProtagonist: There's only a few reasons the player plans on watching, and thus supporting, a ''Red Room'', actual innocent people being horribly tortured for the viewers' entertainment...
