''Troublemaker'' is a BeatEmUp actioner developed by Indonesian company Gamecom Team, one set in a high school where the player gets challenged by - and can beat up - hordes and hordes of bullies, and - [[VideoGame/{{Bully}} wait a minute]]...

Budi, a teen delinquint and street brawler who often went in and out of of juvenile detention, finally broke the rules for one last time. After crippling a rival street gang on his way home, Budi gets him into trouble with the local authorities who decides to send him to Sekolah Menengah Cipta Wiyata, the strictest institution in Jakarta, or face jail-time.

Upon enrolling in Cipta Wiyata and stopping a bunch of bullies from picking on Bobby, an oft-bullied schoolmate, Budi discovers the institution to be controlled by it's absurdly powerful student council, who rules the student bodies by way of violence. After falling for Sophia, the girlfriend of Cipta Wiyata's student council chairman Ricco, Budi decides to take over Cipta Wiyata the only way he knows how...
----
!! Ayyyyyy.... kontol!
* AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil: Cipta Wiyata is dominated by their local student council, whose authorities somehow eclipsed the principal's and management staff, where their members are free to beat the tar out of everyone who looks at them the wrong way.
* AbusiveParents:
** Implied for Alan, one of the bosses. If Budi inflicts consecutive hits on him...
--> '''Alan''': Your punches are ''nothing'' compared to my father's fists!
** [[spoiler:In one of his last cutscenes, Budi admits to his bestie, Boby, that his ''stepfather'', Mr. Danang, whom his mother Ratih married after his biological father's passing, is also an abusive douchebag. When Budi returns home with bruises on his face after fighting in school, Mr. Danang would ''beat his injuries'' while trying to teach him "how to be a man"]].
* AndNowForSomeoneCompletelyDifferent: One of the last stages where [[spoiler:Budi isn't around, with his pals Rani and Zainal in play. The former fights in a slightly different way, being less agile but dealing heavier damage, while the latter isn't capable of fighting at all]].
* {{Animesque}}: In-between levels, cutscenes are depicted in panels that wouldn't look out of place compared to manga.
* BattleInTheRain: More than one boss battle takes place outdoors, during heavy rain, including Alan's rematch (in the football court), Ricco's second brawl (a rain-drenched alleyway), the [[spoiler:night infiltration stage where Zainal is in play, taking on student council members in a stormy midnight]] and finally [[spoiler:when the rest of the gang leaders decides to help Budi and friends take down the student council]].
* BossBanter: Bosses - all of them - likes taunting Budi verbally during battles, regardless whom is winning.
--> "You don't need to fight me - I'll guarantee you'll get your asses kicked!"
* BreakingTheBonds: [[spoiler:Ricco's mooks from the student council drugs Budi, Zaenal and Boby, and have them tied up in chairs while abducting Sophia and Rani. Budi and Boby are first to wake up and realize they're trapped, but when Zaenal regains consciousness and realize Rani - whom he had a crush on - is missing, he ''instantly'' rips his ropes apart in a rage]].
* BroomstickQuarterstaff: Alan, one of the bosses, uses a broom as his weapon, giving him advantage in distance.
* ChairmanOfTheBrawl: Budi can grab chairs and use them to pummel other bullies, in stages set inside classrooms. Heck, there's even a power-up called "Eat This Chair" where he whips out a chair from [[{{Hammerspace}} out of nowhere]] and smack some bullies across their noggins.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: One of the bosses, Zaenal, becomes Budi's ally after getting his ass kicked. [[spoiler:He even gets PromotedToPlayable near the end]].
* DisappearedDad: Budi's dad died when he was a kid, which serves as a semi-FreudianExcuse for his rough behaviour - much to his mother Ratih's chagrin.
* EliteMooks: Ricco's personal enforcers from the student council, bullies with above-average fighting skills compared to lesser mooks, who can be identified by their black long-sleeved coats. Ricco himself fights like a KingMook version of his minions.
* FatBestFriend: Boby, the chubby student who tags alongside Budi everywhere, serves this role after Budi saved him from some bullies early on. [[spoiler:He becomes FormerlyFat in the epilogue]].
* FightingBackIsWrong: What kicked off the story's plot - Budi was cornered by members of the Penganggguran Gang, led by low-life punks Windah, Rendi and their boss, Doni, and in self-defense he beats all of them senseless. Then the police arrives, sees him in an alley filled with semi-unconscious thugs, and arrests him for street violence.
* ForeignRemake: Given the premise, gameplay, power-upgrading system and open-world exploration style, the game is a rather loose remake of ''VideoGame/{{Bully}}'', recycled in Indonesia.
* GracefulLoser: Of all the bullies and bosses, Gian is among the reasonable ones, who immediately orders his gang to stop pursuing Budi and Sophia after the boss fight because Budi won fair and square.
--> '''Gian''': We might be weebs, but we also have sportsmanship!
* GratuitousEnglish: Most of the game is in Bahasa Indonesia with English subtitles, but occasionally some of the bosses will drop English quotes in cutscenes for no reason. Thick accents included.
--> '''Rory''': [''English''] ''Harder, daddy!''\\
'''Budi''': ''Dah masokis, anjing? Gua ada peperangan dengan Rico, kenapa curut-curut yang ada datang?'' [[note]]You're a masochist now? I declared war with Ricco. Why the hell are his rats the ones facing me?[[/note]]\\
'''Rory''': [''English''] ''A king doesn't chase the peasants. A king takes on kings''.
* HandwrapsOfAwesome: Budi's fists are wrapped in bandages that exposes his fingers, whenever he gets himself involved in school fights. More than one boss, including Zaenal before and after he joins Budi's side, sports this fashion as well.
* IntrepidMerchant: Richard, a higher-class student who seems to randomly appear from out of nowhere to sell power-ups and health upgrades, though his presence is slightly justified that the game is set inside a building. He also ''never'' runs out of stuff from his CoatFullOfContraband. [[spoiler:He even shows up in the stage set at 3.00am, against all odds]].
* NobodyCanDie: Despite the insane amount of beat-downs Budi dishes out, from throwing bullies headfirst into doorframes and smacking them halfway across a classroom with chairs, nobody in the game dies.
* RecurringBoss: Almost all the bosses are fought multiple times in different stages. Taken to the extreme with the Chairman, Ricco - he's first fought halfway through, and near the end, in ''three'' consecutive levels.
* RomanticRain: [[spoiler:The game's PairTheSpares moment occurs after the night infiltration stage, where Budi's two buddies, Rani and Zaenal, admits their feelings for each other with him carrying an umbrella over them both]].
* SchoolGradeHacking: Where the good guys does it - [[spoiler:one of the last stages sees Rani and Zainal infiltrating Cipta Wiyata after dusk to change Ricco's records, with Rani - the team's {{Hackette}} - hacking into the computer systems to expose Ricco's activities to the authorities. Unfortunately, the student council enforcers are ''everywhere'']].
* SchoolOfHardKnocks: Cipta Wiyata, where ''public'' fights are actually encouraged.
* SchoolOfNoStudying: The ''only'' staff actually present in Cipta Wiyata whose presence affects the plot in any way is Mrs. Ratna, the Bahasa Indonesia homeroom teacher, and she only appears sporadically. Which raises questions on where the hell are the teachers and faculty members when a full-scale brawl is taking place within school grounds and students are being shoved out balconies...
* ShoutOut:
** One of Ricco's cutscenes have him taunting Budi with a "[[Film/TheWarriors Come ooooooouuuuuuut and play]]"...
** There's a bully boss named [[Manga/{{Doraemon}} Gian]]. Who claims himself to be an anime enthusiast, seemingly to enforce the reference.
* SinisterShades: Ricco's never seen without his sunglasses, which stays on no matter how many times he's punched across the face. He's the ruthless student council chairman and the closest the game has to a BigBad.
* StealthMission: [[spoiler:Rani's sole stage, with her sneaking into Cipta Wiyata's computer rooms while Zainal (then AI-controlled) fights Ricco's goons. If she's caught, it's an instant NonStandardGameOver - restart the level]].
* VerbalTic:
** Budi seems to like uttering "''Kontol''" ("Dick") at random.
** Meanwhile, Boby's catchphrase when things goes wrong seems to be "''bangsat''!" ("Bastard!")
* WalkingShirtlessScene:
** Louis, the Yellowjacket Gang leader, fights bare-chested in all his boss battles, preferring having his yellow coat around his waist. Same goes for his subordinate, Udin.
** [[spoiler:The last confrontation between Budi and Ricco sees them both fighting shirtless]].
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodSandwich: Budi's dinner date with Sophia in a noodle shop after the boss fight against Gian is interrupted by a few of Gian's cronies, intending to avenge their boss' defeat. Ever the gentleman, Budi then tells them to take the fight outside, which the cronies obliged, and after the fight Gian suddenly arrives and tells his mooks to cut it out, just as Sophia, watching Budi fighting from behind a door, runs out. They quickly leave the place without any indication whether they finished their meal or not.
* WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue: [[spoiler:The final scene takes place 3 years later, in a coffee shop somewhere in downtown Jakarta owned by Zaenal, with Richard as the shop's cashier. Boby, [[FormerlyFat slimmed down compared to his chubby highschool self]], is having lunch and waiting for Rani for a business meeting, when Budi suddenly interrupts their chat with tickets to an MMA brawl later that week]].
