* GunsAreWorthless: It's easier to do more damage to an enemy with a random object off the ground like a pool cue, than it is to shoot them with your gun considering its pathetic damage output. Which means [[ViolationOfCommonSense rushing people shooting at you]] is a viable option. Plus there's the whole [[YouLoseAtZeroTrust heat]] issue with guns you want to avoid anyway.

* YouLoseAtZeroTrust: Use your gun too much and the game fades to black before you instantly get a NonStandardGameOver where Joey gets whacked at the ocean for bringing too much attention to the Sopranos. You have to pay off the heat levels in-between missions to hope to avoid this, or just not use your gun in general. Considering GunsAreWorthless, do negligible damage and are out-powered by beating people down with a pool cue, it isn't worth the risk.
