They even have a little speech bubble that says "I'm Old!" Next to their sprite, which was taken directly from the Last Battles (who themselves took it from the Starman Senior miniboss).

He also made the Twoson enemies simple, goofy palette swaps to make you think he was lazy. It makes the "Wham Level" that much better.
